A '57 Chevy in excellent condition is worth more than four new Chevy Sparks, all of which will be in the junkyard in less than 10 years.<quoted text>
Cars made in the fifties were by today's standards death traps. No seatbelts, airbags, or collapsible steering columns. All around drum brakes that wouldn't stop a car for crap at over 30 mph. Doors that would pop open in a collision ejecting you out of the vehicle and lots of hard and sharp edges in the interior to gash your head open on. Yeah they were great vehicles compared to today weren't they moron?
Older cars have far fewer components to fail and are much easier to repair.
