Speaking of vulgar, illiterate sissy-bullies, did I somehow conjure you up from the depths of Tea-Taliban Hell, Sweaty? There've been a lot of runaway trains lately, just not usually in the night. Maybe you loons can conjure up a conspiracy theory out of that soon--must have something to do with allowing black folk to be free or presidential...

You are wrong about so many things it's hard to know where to begin.
Congress passed the Bush tax cuts and Congress determined when they would expire. Republicans knew it wouldn't pass without a time limit, and the idea was for the next Congress to extend them and not screw it up.
The unemployment rate averaged 5% during Bush's two terms including a slight spike for over a year after 9/11.
If the Democrats had heeded Bush's numerous warnings about Fannie and Freddie, the housing market crisis could have been avoided.
And Obama wouldn't have had as easy a time going about destroying this country and capitalism.
Bush and Republicans weren't perfect. But they tried like hell to rein in Fannie and Freddie with much resistance from the left, they managed to keep unemployment down even after 9/11, and took the war to our enemies with 111 Democrats' blessings in Iraq.
The ball of failures falls primarily in your court. And you keep electing them.
The Bush Tax-Cut Failure

It is hard to find even a reputable conservative economist willing to say anything good these days about President Bush’s tax and economic policies. In 2009, the Harvard economist Dale Jorgenson said he saw no redeeming features in them.

In 2011, the economist Alan Viard of the conservative American Enterprise Institute told Bloomberg News,“The effects of the Bush tax cuts on growth were ambiguous at best.” He added,“They were not much of a poster child for pro-growth tax policy.”

Even Mr. Hubbard now seems unwilling to defend the tax cuts he shepherded into law. Earlier this year, he was asked by The New York Times what he thought about the repeal of many of the Bush-era tax cuts on Jan. 1. He said many of those tax cuts were no longer relevant to our tax and economic problems.

Mr. Hubbard even suggested that higher revenues, long a Republican no-no, were not a bad thing.“We need a tax system that can promote economic growth and raise the revenue the American people want to devote to government,” he said.

http://economix.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/05/21/...

The House bill, the 2005 Federal Housing Finance Reform Act, would have created a stronger regulator with new powers to increase capital at Fannie and Freddie, to limit their portfolios and to deal with the possibility of receivership.

Mr Oxley reached out to Barney Frank, then the ranking Democrat on the committee and now its chairman, to secure support on the other side of the aisle. But after winning bipartisan support in the House, where the bill passed by 331 to 90 votes, the legislation lacked a champion in the Senate and faced hostility from the Bush administration.

Adamant that the only solution to the problems posed by Fannie and Freddie was their privatization, the White House attacked the bill. Mr Greenspan also weighed in, saying that the House legislation was worse than no bill at all.

Oxley isn’t too happy about all the criticism Congress is getting for letting Fannie and Freddie get too big.

“All the hand wringing and bedwetting is going on without remembering how the House stepped up on this,” he says.“What did we get from the White House? We got a one-finger salute.”

Fox News Uses Edited Obama Clip to Attack the President for Media Bias
Fox and Friends attempted to counter Obama’s point that Fox News and Rush Limbaugh punish Republicans for bipartisanship by playing clips of Obama criticizing Fox and having contributor Peter Johnson Jr. label the president’s criticisms silly and bizarre. However, Fox News confirmed the accuracy of the president’s criticism by selectively editing video of Obama to create a deceptive, misleading, and very partisan impression.
Here is the Fox and Friends video:....
The president was discussing the danger that comes when Americans only get their information from partisan sources. The president was arguing against partisan media on both the left and the right. Since the entire Fox News business model is based on convincing their audience that all other media sources are liberally biased liars, they are going to view any objective call for less partisanship as a threat to their survival.
By editing an Obama clip to make their argument, Fox News confirmed the accuracy of the president’s recent comments about the right wing media’s desire to keep the political environment hyper partisan. Fox doesn’t seem to understand that editing clips of the president to fit their partisan objectives isn’t the best way to argue that that they are being unfairly attacked by a partisan president.
The Fox News response to Obama’s comments proved that are a big part of the problem, and the solution is to turn off Fox.

All I keep hearing from you right wingers is, Detroit, Detroit, Detroit &, if Obama had a state, it would look like Detroit. Are y'all not weary of the fact that, most republican states receive more from the govt than they contribute or, pay in?After that FACT, y'all should just STFU! Now I see why all you whiners are on this thread whining everyday. Easy solution to the debt of our country. Why don't y'all stop whining & contribute something other than an open, empty hand all the damn time. Meanwhile, most democratic states contribute more to the govt than they take &, you're the ones calling other folks moochers! Hypocritical Bastards!

When he posts things like Hannity "edited" Obama's statement about our taxes going up leaving off the part "by design", it didn't even cross his mind that Obama WANTED our taxes to go up. He just added "by design" to try and place the blame elsewhere. As usual.

Obama's promise of a middle class tax cut was a failed promise or a flat out lie - because everyone saw more money taken from their checks last January and will again next year.

And they still keep electing these people.

<quoted text>
"A Democratic legislator from Minnesota swiftly apologized Tuesday for a tweet he sent that referred to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as "Uncle Thomas" following a major ruling on the nation's landmark voting rights law."
But Winkler is far from alone. A family member of mine had already used the term with me upon learning of the court's ruling. Thomas has been called that and much worse. There are conservatives, though, who argue that any African American who dares to defy the Democratic stereotype is automatically branded a sellout or Uncle Tom. My previous reporting on black Republicans found that is simply not the case.

Black Republicans like former Secretary of State Colin Powell have long been warmly embraced in communities of color, and in Powell's case even long before he endorsed Democrat Barack Obama for president. Those black conservatives who are embraced, however, from Powell to Joe Watkins, appear to share one commonality: Their commitment to the black community was never in question.

As black Republican consultant Raynard Jackson told me at the time, "The black Republicans who receive the most favorable treatment within our community are those who are actually engaged in our community. When you look at people like Mia Love, Allen West and J.C. Watts, most of these prominent black Republicans are not engaged within the black community in a significant way."

But in the case of Thomas, the opposite is true. Not only has he never engaged with civil rights groups in a meaningful away -- unlike Powell, who has a long-standing relationship with the United Negro College Fund -- Thomas has spent much of his career attacking civil rights measures, measures from which he benefited.

Hypothetical offsets and savings, real taxes.

The Revolutionary War was about taxes and people who did not wish to support a government that had become oppressive.

George Zimmerman filed a lawsuit against NBC claiming that NBC made him (George) look racist in a edited 911 tape they aired.
The thing is, when George Zimmerman filed his Complaint with the Court, he, Zimmerman, edited out the portion of the 911 tape that George makes himself look racist when he said, "F'cking Coons." (listen to Time Stamp 2:22)
Also, at Time Stamp 3:20, on the tape you can hear George knocking or taping on a door and if you listen closely you can hear George say: "Keep an eye on my truck." Who did George say that to, and why did he edit those words out of the Transcript he filed with the Court?
Try to wrap your head around that one.
Zimmerman files a lawsuit with the Court claiming he has suffered damages of "emotional distress" from an edited 911 tape that he claims made him him look racist -- but at the same time -- Zimmerman gives the Court his own edited version of same 911 tape by cutting out his own comment: "F'cking Coons"
