Every 2.7 days, they emit an amount comparable to the 0.26 gigaton preferred estimate for annual global volcanic CO2 emissions."

"Considering that human activity released some 30 Gt CO2 into the atmosphere last year, human emissions are likely 100 (or more) times as large as volcanic emissions. Those who make claims about the Mt. Pinatubo explosion emitting more CO2 than all of human activity for all time, should be made aware that the estimated CO2 emissions from Mt. Pinatubo are 0.05 Gt CO2, about the amount released by human activity in half a day, not our entire history. In fact, in less than 3 days we outstrip the volcanic emissions for an entire year:"

Fox News' Allen West Accuses GOP Of Aiding In Benghazi "Cover-Up"

Fox News contributor and former Congressman Allen West (R-FL) accussed fellow Republicans of engaging in a "cover-up" of the attacks on U.S. diplomatic facilities in Benghazi, Libya, because they did not support a vote to form a special committee to investigate the attacks.

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) has circulated a discharge petition that demands a vote on a bill that would appoint a congressional committee to investigate the September 11, 2012, attacks in Benghazi. The petition requires 218 votes to force the bill -- H. Res. 36-- to the floor over Speaker John Boehner's (R-OH) objections. On July 23, West spoke at a fringe group rally in support of the petition.

On the July 24 Fox & Friends, West expanded on his support, reasoning that a select committee was needed to investigate the Benghazi attacks to find out who ordered military personnel to "stand down" and not respond, ignoring the fact that such an order was never given.

He then asserted that those who did not support and sign the discharge petition were complicit in covering up the facts related to the Benghazi attack, saying: "Without a doubt, there has to be seen as a cover-up and everyone that is complicit in this to include the media and those not willing to sign the discharge petition or H. Res. 36."

In lobbing this accusation, West smeared his former Republican colleagues, including Boehner and the author of H. Res 36, Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA). According to The Hill, Boehner "and other GOP leaders say current panels are doing a fine job with oversight on Benghazi," while a spokeswoman for Wolfe said that he "appreciates any attention drawn to his bill, which drew two more co-sponsors this week, but would not sign on to the discharge petition forcing a floor vote over the objections of Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio)." Wolf had previously suggested that Boehner's not allowing for a vote on a select committee would be tantamount to his being involved in "cover-up" of the attack.

The GOP doesn't want this. They want a government of the corporations ,by the corporations and for the corporations and to hell with the poor and middle class.
You're an idiot and consummate anti American DB.
No, actually, it is Obama's government. It always has been. His vision. His base. His ObamaCare. His sequester. His killing bin Laden. His one-party system. His taxes. His invisible wars. His cover-ups. His welfare state. His way or the highway.

He just blames anyone who doesn't recognize that and republicans for his own failures.

This country is literally being held captive by Obama's government.

His approval rating dropped 8 points from last month according to a CNN poll on Monday with 45% approval, 54% disapproval.

Those numbers were reversed just two months ago.

A Washington Post-ABC poll out Tuesday morning shows what's keeping Congressional Democrats more popular than their Republican counterparts ó approval within their own parties.

The poll asked both self-described Democrats and Republicans ó including "leaners" ó if they think their own parties are taking things in the right or wrong direction. Democrats approved of their party's direction, with 72% saying leadership was taking the party in the right direction to just 21% who said it was taking things in the wrong direction.

But Republicans largely disapprove of their own party's leadership, as has been the case for quite some time now. Just 37% of self-identified Republicans and Republican "leaners" say leadership is taking the party in the right direction. Meanwhile, 52% say it's taking things in the wrong direction.

That's a big change from last August, when Republicans approved of their leadership by a 58-32 margin.

It also contributes to the overall poor perception of Congressional Republicans across party lines. According to a new McClatchy-Marist poll, just 22% approve of the job Congressional Republicans are doing, compared with 33% who say the same about Democrats.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney)-
Borrowers who received help through the government's main foreclosure prevention program are re-defaulting on their mortgages at alarming rates, a federal watchdog said in a report released Wednesday.
Nearly 1.2 million mortgage modifications have been completed since the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) was first launched four years ago. Yet more than 306,000 borrowers have re-defaulted on their loans and more than 88,000 are at risk of following suit, the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP) found in its quarterly report to Congress.

In addition, the watchdog found that the longer a homeowner stays in the HAMP modification program, the more likely they are to default. Those who have been in the program since 2009, are re-defaulting at a rate of 46%, the inspector general found.

HAMP, which was launched by the Treasury Department at the height of the foreclosure crisis, aimed to help as many as 4 million borrowers avoid foreclosure by making their payments more affordable through reduced interest rates, extended loan terms or, in some cases, reduced mortgage principals.

Not only has the program fallen far short of that goal but with each year of the program, a growing number of homeowners have re-defaulted, the inspector general found.

Donít Repeal Any Laws, Repeal John Boehner

It would be impossible to name the craziest thing said by a Republican so far this year. This year? This week.
New entrants arrive constantly and the competition is feral. And yet paradoxically they donít even shock anymore. But one recent Republican remark should arrest you and deserves your contemplation: John Boehnerís statement on Face the Nation Sunday that he and his House Republicans ďought to be judged on how many laws we repeal.Ē

Itís not an outrageous statement in the Obama-wants-to-impose-Sharia vein, but in its way itís more disturbing. The Republican Party now sees dysfunction as not just an unfortunate consequence of a set of historical factors, something that they might work every now and again to correct. Now, the Republican Party sees dysfunction as its mission.

....This isnít a partisan crisis. Itís a historical crisis. And the political system canít solve it. We need leaders from other walks of life, especially from the various branches of the business world, to stand up and say to the Republicans that dysfunction cannot be your mission. You must govern. Govern conservatively, but govern. And we need, as Iíve said before, big-dollar organizations that can boot some of these people out of office and replace them with a few Dick Lugars. We donít need to repeal any laws. Repealing a hundred or so people is what we need.

A Trifecta of Boot Licking Uncle Toms Defending George Zimmerman: Who is the Worst One? Larry Elder, Pastor Manning, or Jesse Lee Peterson?

Black conservatism is a very lucrative business. It takes few resources to begin one's hustle. There are boosters who will back your play. The risks are minimal. Their public is eager to be grifted--is there no easier scam than taking money from the willing? And the skills that one needs to be successful in the black conservative con game are minimal. It is a real quota, and an internalized projection of what conservatives say "affirmative action" policies produce in the workplace: skin color, a hostility towards African-Americans, and a heartbeat are all that one needs to be a successful black conservative media darling. Ability is welcome but secondary and coincidental to one's skin color.

The black conservatives only have to sit around until needed, secure in their break in case of emergency bubble that the White Right has them encased within. While sitting there, the checks continue because they are on retainer. Quite a good deal.

All that is required to be a successful black conservative in the Fox News Tea Party GOP mold is to be a professional contrarian who stands against any position taken by the "civil rights establishment", a willingness to degrade black Americans for the pleasure of white racists, and to have little or no self-respect. The more self-hating and contemptible a black conservative's position on a given political issue, the higher the bounty and pay.

http://www.chaunceydevega.com/2013/07/a-trife...

maybe instead of tearing down the black liberals you should spend more time telling us what black conservatives are being paid to say.
