Obama/Holder abused their power, yet again...
but the jury (American people) stopped Obama/Holder from getting away with abuse of power.
so just so that I get this straight you're against the DOJ spending money to provide technical assistance, conciliation, and onsite mediation during demonstrations between local law enforcement agencies and the protesters?

I'm guessing that you'd rather have the demonstrations deteriorate into riots, with injuries and property damage??

In my experience every penny spent on prevent is well worth it rather than tens of thousands in damages.

Of course, I'm pretty sure when you see the DoJ spend money on technical assistance, you naturally assume teaching protesters how to protest.

geat use of straw man fallacy. What ever Rodney King did before or after the trial had nothing to do with the case. The case was about police abuse of power, PERIOD.

Did the police officers involved abuse their power? Yes.
Was there an effort to cover it up? YES
Were changes made to the LAPD to improve it. YES

Is there still room for improvement. YES, as witnessed by the recent shooting of a dog by a police officer.

I'll grant you they went more than a little overboard in the arrest, but rodney king deserved to be beaten down just for using his vehicle as a deadly weapon and threatening many innocent people's lives.

I also saw the shooting of the dog, and that officer was a puscee bitch phag for opening fire. However, the main cause of that whole problem was the the loser, rabble-rousing negro owner of the dog. He should be horsewhipped in the street for causing the death of that poor pup (and he is as useless a POS as rodney king was).....:-)

"There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs and hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs - partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs."... Quote: Former Slave Booker T. Washington 1911..

and maybe you can explain to us why some conservatives seem to be on an 'We're not racist, everyone else is!' kick?

kinda like how every bad thing that happened during Bush has somehow become the fault of democrats? even the Iraq 'war', which no one is buying beyond 3 million FOXbots.

The audacity of the conservative hypocrisy can at times leave you speechless. The fact that they think everyone else is as ignorant as they are once again speaks to the failure of natural selection.

First, judicizal watch is a biased organization. I noticed that they only released the expense reports, and not where and on what the money was spent on. One can only wonder why they didn't release that information.

What was the technical assistance?
Who received it?

Where does it say the money was spent on organizing the demonstrators?
Could it had been spent on organizing the local police, fire department and other gov't services to response to the demonstrations?

We've already seen what happens when local authorities aren't prepared for massive demonstrations, be it the Rodney Kig verdict riots or the University of Michigan winning a championship riots.

BTW: "These documents detail the extraordinary intervention by the Justice Department in the pressure campaign leading to the prosecution of George Zimmerman,” this is the opinion Tom Fitton, not a statement of fact, learn the difference

FBI report: No evidence George Zimmerman is racist

Federal civil-rights investigators interviewed dozens of George Zimmerman's friends, neighbors and co-workers, and no one said he was a racist, records released Thursday show.

FBI agents spread out across the state, talking to three dozen people, including gun-shop employees, Zimmerman's ex-fiancée and the Sanford police detective who led the investigation into the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black 17-year-old.
