The Republicans could have easily ended the sequestration with a simple AYE! vote for the 2013 national budget ,but they chose to block the smooth functioning of the Federal Government for their own petty interests and spiteful ,personal disdain for President Barack Obama as our first African-American Democratic President. You can't get any lower or more dispicable than a obstructionist, climate denier Republican in Congress.

The only thing that keeps would be oppressors at bay is legally armed civilians.

So the post about conservatives being mowed down? It'd never happen. There'd be a civil war first.

It does make one wonder why this administration was so gung-ho to restrict legal gun ownership. Of course, I'm sure this president doesn't mind if his political enemies are locked and loaded.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. Can't say for sure.

<quoted text>Just a thought, but if I were being stalked by a pervy-looking dude with a gun (ok, so maybe I wouldn't have known that immediately), I might not have wanted him to follow me home where my little brother was home alone...are you suggesting that Trayvon should have totally out of the gated community in which he was living?(I admire your desire for transparency in you politicians--when did Rmoney sent you a copy of his tax returns?)
If you were walking through a housing complex where you didn't live at nighttime when it was drizzling and you knew you probably looked like you didn't belong there and saw a resident watching you who was on the phone and assumed the police was on the other end, would you hang around and wait for the resident get in his car and drive to another part of the complex to ambush him or get the hell out of there?

Why didn't Martin go straight home the minute he saw Zimmerman on the phone while he was still in his house?

Once he left the complex, he would no longer look like he didn't belong there because, technically, he didn't.

Obama is a distributor of wealth, also commonly known as a socialist. People can try to deny it all they want but the proof is in the pudding. He eased restrictions on wealth fare recipients basically eliminating the work requirement which allows them to continue freeloading off working Americans. He wants to give amnesty to the millions of illegal undocumented immigrants further driving this country into the ground and into debt. Now he's trying to take away our guns, ensuring that if our homes are invaded we won't be able to protect ourselves. He said he wouldn't raise taxes, but he let the Bush tax cuts expire which basically raised taxes. You liberals are clueless, even with all that, you still praise this man. No wonder this country is going tits up, you crazy liberals are making America unrecognizable!

Government divides no one. Bush never played the card race as Obama's white police "acted stupidly" or Trayvon Martin would look like his "son", plus thousand other more evidence.

Nope, you are WRONG, government divide no one!

The ONLY ones dividing the nation is the LIBERALS.

Democrats divide us into voting groups; blacks, gays, illegals, women, etc.

Conservatives only see one color: the color of freedom and liberty!

I have to note you did not comment on the 100 million pissed away on president nobama's family vacation to Africa. Also even with the sequester spending is higher this year and the year before.
And if you think our government is a sweet running entity you are even dumber than any sane person thought and that is mind boggeling.

I'm saying that when a person is walking through a housing complex where they don't live at nighttime in a drizzling rain and they don't look like they belong there and someone who does live there thinks the same thing, the normal reaction is to leave as fast as possible.

Who hangs around waiting to attack a resident who obviously believes you're the one in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Majority Leader Harry Reid charged on Thursday that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has “broken” his promises to consider President Barack Obama’s executive branch nominations, as the Nevada Democrat prepared to move forward with the “nuclear option” to change Senate rules.
Reid filed cloture on a bloc of seven Obama nominees on Thursday afternoon, setting the stage for a potential vote on invoking the nuclear option on Tuesday. If Republicans continue to filibuster any or all of those presidential selections, the Nevada Democrat will force through his proposed rules change, he told reporters.
Reid’s nuclear option comes in two parts. It would require a simple majority to change Senate rules, rather than the 67 now needed. And it would mean that a filibuster on an executive-branch nominees could be ended with only 51 votes, rather than the 60-vote threshold now in place.
Works both ways, starting in 2015.
