"The cyber threat is clearly escalating," they say.

"The unprecedented sophistication and reach of recent cyber attacks demonstrate that malicious actors have the ability to compromise and control millions of computers that belong to governments, private enterprises and ordinary citizens worldwide."

Ball and Waters say that in some cases cyber specialists would be able to use wireless to directly engage the electronic systems of enemy weapons, including the controls of an attacker's combat aircraft. Investigators have said he had realized he was flying too slow and too low, and tried to abort the landing and go back up in the air, but he failed.

They could penetrate the firewalls protecting the avionics systems of these aircraft to insert Trojan horse viruses.

"This would conceivably allow Australian cyber specialists to effectively hijack adversary aircraft, and to choose between hard or soft landings for them."

Your counterproductive posts, if anyone actually read them, over the years, would have elected President Obama :-)
I know some people get very angry with people who just come right out with the truth because it hurts so much.

But "honesty" is one of my middle names right before "speed" and "rhythm".

How do you ever establish convictions if you don't think about what you think is correct. Never mind--You are a loon o tic-no convictions -just go with whatever O'bama says. One thing for sure-O'bama has one conviction-Destroy America--whoops whoops... fundamentally change America. America is such a horrible country to O'bama.

Admit it. You had no idea who Valerie Jarrett was or her significant influence over this president.
Homer apparently didn't.
Now you should ask yourself, "Why is that?"
Shouldn't we know who influences the president's decisions and/or makes them for him?

Actually, wish "Washington insiders" would replace Valerie Jarrett so at least this president will know what's going on.

Overprotective moms have very limited perspective especially when it comes to their only child and considering, according to the NYT, she had no experience being on the national stage.

Which would fit her too - stage mom. You know how tunnel-visioned they can be even if it's to their own child's detriment.

McCain seems wrong on Egypt and Syria

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) reiterated his call Sunday for the United States to suspend foreign aid to Egypt, even as several other senators declined to take that position.

“Reluctantly, I believe that we have to suspend aid until such time as there is a new constitution and a free and fair election,” McCain said on CBS’s “Face The Nation.”

The Egyptian military ousted Mohamed Morsi from the presidency last week, and a dispute about the country’s leadership is ongoing. The Obama administration has said it is not aligned with any particular group and has avoided calling the ouster of Morsi a coup.

We haven't even had a goddam budget since Obama took office, idiot. That's our biggest problem.
And, you haven't got a clue about inflation. How about you put some numbers in your post to back your bullshit up.
Price of milk in 2008 was ________.
Price of milk today is _________.
for example. Tell us the real story about inflation.
You know, some real information.
Wow, this one could be the most absurd post of the day. Comparing milk prices? LOL!

If anything the price of milk will go up because the Republicans won't pass the Farm bill -

Dairy farmers expressed frustration this week with Congress' failure to pass a farm bill, saying the uncertainty made it hard to do business and some could go under without changes to the federal milk program.

Farmers also worried that if a current nine-month extension of the 2008 farm bill expires with no action, a 64-year-old law will kick in, sending milk prices spiraling. While that might provide short-term profits, they say, it'd hurt them in the long run because no one wants to buy milk at $6 a gallon.

The U.S. House voted down a farm bill June 20, about a week after the Senate approved a different version. It was the second year in a row that the House failed to pass the every-five-years bill that sets funding for agriculture and food programs. Last year, it didn't even vote, prompting the passage in January of a slimmed-down extension of the 2008 law — largely to avoid milk prices sharply increasing.

It's 9/12.
You're the president.
What do you do?
Your answer was:
"Do the exact same thing in the exact same place against the exact same enemy as the Soviets, and somehow you expect a different result?"
Is this correct? You would do the exact same thing in the exact same place against the exact same enemy as the Soviets, and you're stupid enough to think you'd have a different experience than the Soviets, right?
Or, was your answer one of the other options, like "do something differently."
If you would have done simething different than what the Soviets did, what would that have been?
Are you trying to establish another phony conspiracy or is this just another whine?

<quoted text> Dumass, bolstered homeland security to prevent another 9/11, have the CIA do the job they took an oath to do & scour the earth to find Osama, then report back to me so, I can then send in seal team six to do what they eventually wound up doing under Obama. I wouldn't have invaded either country because, Al Qaeda is an organization, not a country. By that logic, we should be at war with ourselves because I'm quite sure America has Al Qaeda members in it just like 20 other countries. That's the CIA's job, find & eliminate foreign threats, covert operations! Duh!
Man, you do watch way too many Hollywood movies.
So, where are you going to launch the SEAL Team from? San Diego?
How are you going to recover the SEAL Team? Get Pakistan to do it for you?(You do remember that Pakistan was hiding bin Laden, right?)
What happens when the SEAL Team lands right in the middle of the whole goddam Taliban/Al Qaeda army?... and they don't have Bruce Willis and Steven Segal and Sylvester Stalone with them because they were in the chopper that had to turn around because of technical problems.... you really don't have a clue about things like this, do you?
You know, you may have a point. Can you imagine what would have happened to us if John Wayne had been born Japanese and not an American? Eye-chi-wahwah. That would have been a terrible thing.

You have no idea about what is coming out of your mouth now.
No, you can't just launch a SEAL Team from half way around the world and expect to see any of them alive again. There is a lot that goes into a successful mission, LIKE HAVING A SECURED BASE NEAR THE TARGET TO RECOVER THEM, IDIOT. That means we would have to have a secure base in either Afghanistan or Pakistan, both countries that had a government that hid bin Laden. So, we're going to have to invade some country to do what you think we should have done.
Now, we're back to the question again:

You would do the exact same thing in the exact same place against the exact same enemy as the Soviets, and you're stupid enough to think we'd have a different experience, right?

Or, you'd do something differently.
How about an answer that doesn't require a Hollywood movie script.
