Ok, dufus. Let's go over this again....

It's 9/12.
You're the president.
What do you do?

Your answer was:

"Do the exact same thing in the exact same place against the exact same enemy as the Soviets, and somehow you expect a different result?"

Is this correct? You would do the exact same thing in the exact same place against the exact same enemy as the Soviets, and you're stupid enough to think you'd have a different experience than the Soviets, right?

Or, was your answer one of the other options, like "do something differently."
If you would have done simething different than what the Soviets did, what would that have been?

When Obama was elected he was not focused on “fixing” the subprime mortgage crises, economic collapse or political culture of distaste and hate.

He told us what he wanted. He wanted to “transform” America. What he wanted to transform the nation into is only peripherally important.

Centric to his core agenda was this idea of transformation. His agenda was never about bringing healthcare to the masses, reigning in Wall Street (his biggest donors), or restoring the ladder of socio-economic mobility....

It was about using populist issues to advance an otherwise unpalatable “progressive” agenda.

The Administration’s support of Islamists in the overthrow of Libya’s (admittedly despicable) leader had far less to do with the proliferation of despotism, and more to do with de-elevating America on the world stage.

Under Obama, gone are the days of presuming America can (and should) defend relative freedom.

Just recently the Obama Administration declared they are insisting the Muslim Brotherhood be included in the new(est) government of Egypt...

Um... Aren’t they the group people were interested in overthrowing?

Hey Homer! There was a reason the Founding Father wanted power centralized to the localities first, states second, and the federal smallest and last. We are now living in a country the founders were most afraid of.

Obama is not worried about his legacy as an economically focused president, or his ability to stave off foreign conflicts...

He want to be the man who made America the largest home of European Socialism.(Is that going too far?)

Redistributive policies, European style central planning, and technocratic implementation of our laws are more than odd fascinations with the Obama wing of the Democrat Party.

Obama-style Democrats really do believe the creation of prosperity begins with government action. And why shouldn’t they? People like Barack Obama have grown quite wealthy off of government.

Why wouldn’t they think government is the source of prosperity?

In this light, Obama’s recent decision to ignore the IRS scandal, delay the Obamacare employer mandate, and switch his stance on gay marriage, all makes sense.

His daily actions are designed to allow for a window of opportunity to dismantle obstacles or implement new agendas - regardless of their popularity.

This is what makes Barack Obama impossible to understand in traditional political contexts.

He’s not interested in being a politician. Our current Commander in Chief is far more interested in bringing us that “transformation” he promised.

If he succeeds, in the long run, that might very well place him in the history books as the most important American President in the last half century.

But at what cost to the republic?

At least when Rove was called the other half of Bush's brain, we knew who Rove was. He was in the news constantly.
They keep the other half of Obama's brain pretty concealed.
Take you, for example. What do you know about Valerie Jarrett? I wouldn't have had to ask for more information about Karl Rove.
At least now that Karl Rove is out of the spotlight, he is now free to marry his lover Jeff Gannon Guckert. You know nothing about the real Karl Rove; you probably never gave him a moments thought; afterall, he's a white man.

Every President has a top advisor; so what? What bugs you? That she's a woman? A woman of color? It's not her job to be in the spotlight, and President Obama has his own brain. Perhaps Bush didn't.

I don't care. We had Cheney as VP, you cannot get any worse than that, well except for maybe Dan Quayle.

If you're a drug-using dropout gangbanger wannabe and are thinking about attacking someone because they appear to be weaker than you, remember that Americans have the right to be armed and you may get blown to hell like Hoodieman.
A bunch of gibberish from another school nerd. Too shook to put up your hands & fight like a man. No! That's not what I'm saying dumass. Zimmerman claimed in his recorded confession or statements from that night that, Trayvon saw his gun & reached for it. If the gun is holstered in an internal holster, on ones back right side as Zimmerman stated &, Trayvon is straddling Zimmerman who by his accounts was on his back &, Trayvon was banging his head on the sidewalk as Zimmerman claimed. How could Trayvon have seen something in the dark while straddling Zimmerman if the gun was already hard to see &, the gun would've been behind Trayvon? I could believe your demeanor if you hadn't already confessed to being scared of going to the hood, tough guy! Not!

And today we discover wages, wages not corporate profits, have risen 2.2% in the past 6 months while inflation has risen only 1.2%. The housing market is back, private sector jobs grow while public sector jobs shrink and the socialist label is shot to hell. The right is demolished. October 2008 the 2009 budget was made, yes Bush made the largest budget in our country's history. Every budget since has been smaller and the 13 budget the smallest since. Facts, nuf said. Wait, 2.9 million jobs lost the last year of the Bush administration, 800,000 lost the year Obama took office. Yep things have continued to get better under his administration.

Sometimes Obama just gets downright lucky - a major hurricane right before the election? Couldn't have asked for a bigger spotlight or photo ops before the people went to the polls.
Romney all but disappeared during that week before the election blinded by the glow of Obama looking so presidential in the aftermath of massive destruction.
Romney never took advantage of his past climate change record as Governor of Massachusetts nor his healthcare reform record on Romneycare(which allowed for free abortion services on demand) Instead, Romney showed his 'fascist' side by forcing Ron Paul delegates to either vote with the Romney delegation or get banned from the RNC Convention in Tampa. So, you see, Romney did not 'disappear' as much as you would have wanted.

How 'bout The New York Times?

A Chicagoan who helped Mr. Obama navigate his rise through that city’s aggressive politics, Ms. Jarrett came to Washington with no national experience. But her unmatched access to the Obamas has made her a driving force in some of the most significant domestic policy decisions of the president’s first term, her persuasive power only amplified by Mr. Obama’s insular management style.

"She is the single most influential person in the Obama White House,” said one former senior White House official.

She is the guiding hand in everything from who sits on the Supreme Court to who sits next to whom at state dinners. The White House staff memos are peppered with “VJ thinks” or “VJ says.”

Her direct access to the president has at times led to half-baked decision making and unclear lines of authority.

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/02/us/politics...

Them's pretty powerful words. Her direct access to the president has "led to unclear lines of authority."

And Homer isn't even sure who she is.

and THE PLAN to make more Democrat voters—besides amnesty for poor, unskilled entitlement takers-- involves dumbing down the American Sheeple.
Modern education in America is nothing more than pandering for the liberal cause. They stopped teaching real facts long ago and only engage in propaganda tactics to brainwash the entire future American population into liberal ideology.
Point One. Higher education makes you stupid. There is no way you can sit in a college classroom for seven years to get a degree in “human rights” or “women’s studies” and not turn into an imbecile. If you think the university doesn’t maim the human mind, you haven’t really listened to the Occupy Wall Street crowd.
Point Two. Public schooling makes you stupid. How could there be a sillier idea than to make your age-group peers—other kids who are as dumb as you are—the most important, the most influential people in your life, and conformity your goal in life? Not to mention such added frills as the gender coach, the cuddle puddle,“social studies,” and “math” lessons about the joys of redistributing wealth. As Paul Simon once put it,“When I think back on all the crap I learned in high school, it’s a wonder I can think at all.” Only the process starts in kindergarten, not in high school.
Point Three. Three. Being governed by Democrats makes you stupid. Some would disagree, saying that being governed by Democrats is an effect of stupidity, not a cause. Who but complete dunderheads would ever choose to be governed by Obama, Joe Biden, Harry Reid, Bob Menendez, Charlie Rangel, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Hank Johnson, and on and on to the last drop of distilled brainlessness? Case in point: Dems propose “universal pre-school.” Why wait until kindergarten to start the stupefying process? The fact that the country can’t afford such a colossal waste of money is just icing on the cake. Anyhow, scientific studies prove that just listening to the above-mentioned individuals causes necrosis of the brain cells.
In truth, our whole popular culture is a vast toxic ocean of stupidity in which we, poor fish, must swim. No one is entirely immune to its effects. And it gets worse by the day.
For instance, this from the U.K. Independent, Feb. 8, 2013:“Academic takes swipe at David Attenborough wildlife documentaries for ignoring gay animals.” Can you believe it? A professor at the University of East Anglia, home of “Climategate,” says the documentaries “are perpetuating the notion that animal relationships are predominantly heterosexual.”
Obama was elected and re-elected because he was/is culturally popular. A total failure, but as they say…it’s the culture, stupid.

Dumass, bolstered homeland security to prevent another 9/11, have the CIA do the job they took an oath to do & scour the earth to find Osama, then report back to me so, I can then send in seal team six to do what they eventually wound up doing under Obama. I wouldn't have invaded either country because, Al Qaeda is an organization, not a country. By that logic, we should be at war with ourselves because I'm quite sure America has Al Qaeda members in it just like 20 other countries. That's the CIA's job, find & eliminate foreign threats, covert operations! Duh!

Parsing the psychology of the president’s bond with Ms. Jarrett has become something of a West Wing pastime: is she some sort of mother or sister figure to an only child whose own parents variously abandoned him?

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/02/us/politics...

The NYT's article goes on to say "After the downgrade in the nation’s debt last year, it was not the Treasury secretary at the president’s side helping map out how to manage the market’s reaction. It was Ms. Jarrett."
