America is headed down the wrong path
Let's face it - it's over for America. Done. Finished. And there will be no turning back at this point.
First of all - as mentioned so many times before - the last days of this generation simply cannot include a strong and free America. For instance, an America under Ronald Reagan would be completely inconsistent with the prophetic developments that we know must take place during the Tribulation - A coming world dictator also known as the antichrist. Not only that, but a world dictator who will impose the worse totalitarian regime ever known on planet earth. A freedom loving USA, with a strong president would never allow such and would have the means to thwart such.
Additionally, we all know that the United States, or any reference to such, is no where to be found in the detailed descriptions of the Tribulation as seen in Revelation 6-18 - yet biblically, there is vast detail on the world powers at that time, primarily via the descriptions of warfare that will be taking place.
Admittedly, it is entirely possible that the U.S. gets folded up into an expanding EU (if indeed that is how the 10 kings are formed)- but that would also require a severely weakened U.S. who would take such action through necessity.
Another nail in the coffin is the fact that the U.S. has clearly aided and assisted Israel's enemies while pretending to support Israel via rhetoric (only). Genesis 12:3 makes that fate abundantly clear.
The final straw will most likely be the gathering up of the Church Saints, which will at some point before the beginning of the Tribulation.
However - just as Jesus stated, our kingdom is not of this world anyway - and our real world never really involved a fallen, pre-millennial planet earth anyway, must less the United States. Our real world is in a place called New Jerusalem, and it is led by Christ Jesus. Such realizations make the demise of the United States and any such concerns pale in comparison.
It was a nice, unprecedented ride for this country, but it is over.
The United States is a rapidly declining empire, much like the last days of the Roman Empire - and that will not be reversed as we continue to watch the birth pains increase in both frequency and severity.
It was nice while it lasted.
Just a single day of headlines further confirms these ideas:

Fans kill and quarter football referee in Brazil

"The Public Safety Department of the state of Maranhao says in a statement that it all started when referee Otavio da Silva expelled player Josenir Abreu from a game last weekend. The two got into a fist fight, then Silva took out a knife and stabbed Abreu, who died on his way to the hospital.

The statement issued this week says Abreu's friends and relatives immediately "rushed into the field, stoned the referee to death and quartered his body."

Why are all teabaggers Republican?
If they were really "Taxed Enough Already" they'd be libertarians. They're not, they're christo-fascists intent on regulating our bedrooms and your womb.
The guy you claim to have voted for ran for the Republican nomination.

Ron Paul is a republican.

You are not a libertarian.

"WASHINGTON—A high-powered rifle lost in the ATF’s Fast and Furious controversy was used to kill a Mexican police chief in the state of Jalisco earlier this year, according to internal Department of Justice records, suggesting that weapons from the failed gun-tracking operation have now made it into the hands of violent drug cartels deep inside Mexico."

That path was taken back in 1947 when the rightwing CIA was created and it began overthrowing democracies and replacing them with fascism.

Bull. We have armed Israel to the teeth and stood by them for most of their history.

<quoted text>Why do you want more Repubs in office? So they can do this to American workers?
.
Washington (CNN)-- Senate Republicans on Thursday blocked the No.1 item on the president's congressional "to-do-list," refusing to allow a vote on a bill that would give tax breaks for companies that "insource" jobs to the U.S. from overseas while eliminating tax deductions for companies that move jobs abroad.
.
The method Republicans have used to block all jobs legislation in the past two years is the same. A jobs bill comes up, it is filled with positive things for the economy, Republicans filibuster debate, this shields them from having to make floor speeches on why they don't want tax breaks for small businesses... etc.
Why? Well, if the economy recovers too strongly before an election, Republicans will lose power. If jobs numbers look too good, people will want to keep the same party. By Republicans blocking all jobs legislation and keeping jobs numbers from improving they believe this is their ticket to power.
Did I say I want more Republicans in office? Where?

People with big feet shouldn't stick them in their mouths, Dood. Dental work is expensive.

Complaints about pending legislation that may or may not have passed are usually(but not always) hollow because the Devil is always in the details. Liberals have a penchant for playing this little game. These bills might contain a poison pill or some other slight-of-hand trick inside them but when good people vote them down for good reason, the Liberal Media headlines and Liberal Topix posters try making hay with them.

I'm not playing today, Dood:]

Because Senate Democrats didn't stop Bush from committing the second most retarded foreign policy blunder in our history, its their fault and not Bush's.

The blatant misrepresentation of just this one fact should raise a red flag to every single liberal that the liberal media will dupe them into believe anything they want them to believe.
"White" Hispanic is a deliberate effort to manipulate the facts and make this case racially charged for their own benefit. It should outrage even the most far left liberal and make them stop and think that maybe the liberal media has been manipulating them about a lot of other things too.
But most liberals will go on ignoring it. It's precisely why there is so much confusion in this country on their part. They willingly believe whatever the liberal administration tells the liberal media to report - and not report.
It's actually quite dangerous. The mainstream media in the back pocket of those in power.
You'd think there were enough smart liberals who would figure this out. Doesn't seem that's the case.
I have no complaint preference toward Right or Left media when it comes to attempted manipulation of my mind. Both sides do it and I deeply resent their attempts.

But the Left is much more over-the-top with its blatant lying and slimy innuendo. For example, recall NBC's constant audio and video editing to make Zimmerman sound and look bad. Then they quickly apologize, move on and try it again...and again...and again.

The NY Times is in the same cesspool with them. I have read that the NY Times is in trouble financially. They are advertising all over the place trying to raise subscribers.
