Republicans are not only shocked after President Obama took the air out of their balloon, but has left John Boehner swinging blindly at the air with his big 2014 issue gone.

After the White House announced that they were delaying the employer mandate until 2015, Speaker Boehner could only say,“The president’s health care law is already raising costs and costing jobs. This announcement means even the Obama administration knows the ‘train wreck’ will only get worse. I hope the administration recognizes the need to release American families from the mandates of this law as well. This is a clear acknowledgment that the law is unworkable, and it underscores the need to repeal the law and replace it with effective, patient-centered reforms.”

What is this replacement plan that Boehner was speaking of? None of the previous nearly 40 attempts to repeal Obamacare contained a replacement plan. Last year, Republicans admitted that they had no plan to replace Obamacare. Their plan is, was, and always has been to repeal Obamacare. There is no plan to replace anything. Boehner’s desperation after losing the main issue that Republicans were hoping to campaign on is so complete that he has retreated back to their 2010 campaign slogan of repeal and replace.

Do you have zero deductible on other insurance?
Agreed, Obamacare may need tweaked. The problem is that your Republican friends will not work cooperatively to fix it, their only interest is to kill it. You surely will concede that.

The media always parrots the Republican talking point that Obamacare is unpopular. but something totally different happens when people are polled about the individual parts of the healthcare law. It turns out that people like what Obamacare does. What they don’t like is the term Obamacare. Republicans have successfully turned Obamacare into a bad word, but people really like the idea of healthcare reform. That’s why John Boehner has to talk about repeal and replace instead of just repeal.

The fact that Republicans keep claiming that they will replace Obamacare undercuts their argument that the healthcare reform is so unpopular that it should just be done away with. If the law is really that unpopular, why are Republicans pretending to replace it? The answer is that the American people support healthcare reform.

An Oklahoma Fourth of July parade turned tragic when a father accidentally ran over and killed his 8-year-old son who had been on a parade float.

http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/07/04/19...

Can't get much worse than that.

So very sad. The Fourth will never have the same meaning again for that father.

Breaks my heart.

Except, of course, for the Texas nut Ted Cruz who hasn't yet learned the meaning of "diplomacy". The problem is that no one will talk about a very real and threatening problem that pervades this nation as if the subject of communism were completely taboo and should never be talked about at anytime anywhere.
That, people, is the real sin of our leadership, both past and present for at least 4 decades now. A sin that will eventually result in dire consequences for our nation. IMO A sin that Obama is entirely guilty of at present, also IMO.

To the contrary, the failure to implement ObamaKKKare will make this a prime topic for the 2014 elections, a topic on which the Democrats are highly vulnerable.

Uh-oh. The same insurance companies who were supposed to keep providing insurance under ObamaCare. Now what?
Maybe California has a chain of Walgreen's who will be diagnosing and treating chronic illnesses under ObamaCare elsewhere.
Whew.
Say, did you know the promise Obama made about being able to keep your own doctor is going to cost you big time?
No, you probably didn't.
Do you really think California 's Insurance Market is excluded to only the big three Insurers? If what you say is really true than Blue Shield of California must be jumping for joy to not have to compete with three of their biggest Insurer competitors [UnitedHealth Group, CIGNA, and Aetna ] However; I doubt that you are telling the truth or you're just seriously ignorant on the issue.

More Obama Propaganda

The State Department spent more than $630,000 on advertising campaigns to boost the number of Facebook "likes" for the agency's pages on the website, according to a report released by the agency's inspector general.

Between 2011 and March 2013, the agency's Bureau of International Information Programs used the funds on advertising to increase the number of fans for each of its four Facebook pages from 100,000 to more than 2 million, according to the May report.

The program was initiated after the bureau expanded the agency's presence on social media by setting up Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, and blogs targeted at foreign audiences, the report states.

The report found that many employees in the bureau were critical of the advertising campaigns and felt that the agency was "buying fans" who may have once clicked on an ad but have never engaged further.

Defenders of the initiative argued that advertising was needed to increase visibility because of the difficulty of finding a Facebook page using the website's general search tool, according to the report.

The inspector general's report recommends that the State Department bureau reduce spending by focusing its advertising on specific public diplomacy goals and not on raising the number of Facebook "likes" on the agency's pages.

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said at Wednesday's daily press briefing with reporters that the agency currently spends $36,000 a year on the Facebook outreach program.

Psaki said the initiative continues to target "a broad range" of people "living internationally" and that the bureau behind the program is working to implement inspector general’s recommendations.

Obama to cancel 4th of July celebration!!!

See? Liberals are so f*cking easy to fool!!!
Right-wing media can never get anything right. Obama didn't cancel anything. The GOP did.

Military officials were forced to take it upon themselves to decide what they could and could not afford due to the cuts forced upon them by the Republican's sequester (referred to by the GOP as holding the "high ground"). Several military institutions specifically credited sequestration as the reason they had to cancel 4th of July festivities:

March 15: Ongoing federal budget cuts prompted Naval Station Great Lakes in Chicago’s suburban Lake County to cancel this year’s Independence Day celebration.

March 21: The Air Force Academy's annual Independence Day celebration in Colorado Springs has been canceled due to budgetary concerns from SEQUESTRATION, Academy officials announced. SEQUESTRATION has forced the Academy to cut back on many activities it would normally support.

April 11: Fort Bragg announced that its Fourth of July celebration will be canceled because of budget cuts. Post officials said they cannot afford the $120,000 in overtime pay associated with the event, which has regularly drawn more than 50,000 people since it started more than 30 years ago.

April 16: Naval Station Everett (in Washington state) has canceled Independence Day celebrations at the base. Over the years, the Navy has offered the public a chance to visit the base and tour a ship as a part of July 4th festivities. The decision is separate from the Navy's announcement that it will cancel Fleet Week ship visits and Seafair performances by the Blue Angels.

May 6: Federal budget cuts are forcing Pearl Harbor to cancel its July 4 fireworks and the Marine Corps to cancel its annual Bayfest event at Kaneohe Bay.

May 7: Camp Lejeune will not be having its July 4th fireworks display because of SEQUESTRATION, base officials announced.

May 14: Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina is canceling its annual Independence Day celebration because of automatic federal budget cuts. Base officials say the cuts won't leave officials with enough money to put on the “Jammin' July Fourth” event at a Sumter park.

May 21: New Jersey's Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst has canceled its annual July Fourth celebration due to furloughs caused by congressionally mandated automatic budget cuts.

May 31: Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island has canceled its annual 4th of July celebration, citing the across-the-board budget cuts known as SEQUESTRATION.

June 6: Fort Hood officials confirmed this year’s on-post Fourth of July celebration will be significantly smaller, because of budget cuts to the military.

June 13: The annual Fourth of July celebration and fireworks show at Fort Jackson will go on this year despite federal budget cuts -- just with a little less sizzle. Missing from this year's festivities will be the popular "Torchlight Tattoo" -- a cannon salute to the U.S. states and territories.

June 18: A U.S. Navy band has been forced to pull out of the "Red, White & Boom" celebrations in Rock Island, Illinois because of government spending cutbacks known as SEQUESTRATION.

Private contributions were offered to fund many of these events, but were declined by Obama because of his lack of patriotism and desire to punish the American people.

Today's Fourth of July parade in Temecula was great, from the little kids to the cowboy re-enactors firing off their pistols.
