Hitler suppressed or eliminated his opposition by a process termed Gleichschaltung ("bringing into line").
Just thought that was interesting.
Suppressing and eliminating the opposition seems to be Obama's goal too. Obama in no way can be compared to Hitler. Obama is much too passive and too disinterested in leadership. In fact, I think he already retired mentally from the presidency.
But it is very late and I really should say goodnight.
Yes, yes, yes... that's why he imprisoned communists, democrats, socialists and others.

Fortunately, we don have Obama instead of Romney. He wouldn't know what he said.

JUSTICE KENNEDY: The principal purpose and the necessary effect of this law are to demean those persons who are in a lawful same-sex marriage.
JUSTICE SCALIA: The truth is more complicated. It is hard to admit that one's political opponents are not monsters, especially in a struggle like this one, and the challenge in the end proves more than today's Court can handle.
But to defend traditional marriage is not to condemn, demean, or humiliate those who would prefer other arrangements, any more than to defend the Constitution of the United States is to condemn, demean, or humiliate other constitutions. To hurl such accusations so casually demeans this institution.
...Liberals thrive on condemning, demeaning and humiliating - so for Justice Kennedy to assume traditionalists want to "demean" gays just because they hold the same longstanding and widely shared worldwide views concerning the definition of marriage only proves political correctness has poisoned the highest court in the land.
So where's the part where Justice Kennedy calls opponents of marriage equality "enemies of the human race" Carol? It's not there.
You can take your "PC" crap and shove it where the sun doesn't shine you insufferable twit! It's about the Constitution. What part of equal rights and protections under the law can't you wrap your tiny bigoted brain around?
Scalia is wrong. When you tell a loving couple who are legally married that in the eyes of the federal government that their marriage is second class and is not worthy of the same privileges and protections afforded other married couples then it is demeaning.
A majority of the American people are in favor of marriage equality and that majority has been growing at a steady pace. Younger Americans favor marriage equality by70%. The only age group that's opposed are those 65 or older and as they die off the percentage in favor will grow. Western Europe already has marriage equality to a large degree as do South American countries like Brazil and Argentina.
Bigots like you lost on this one. In another generation people will be scratching their heads wondering just what the whole was all about.

- no help was sent to assist those murdered
Fox News reported all of the above. I am sure your gift of BS woo deny that.

Susan Rice was not lying, but rather putting a “softer touch” on the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) said Friday.

Chambliss spoke just ahead of a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing at which Gen. David Petraeus is to testify on the attack that killed four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to the North African nation.

"I'm not saying she lied, I'm just saying she didn't tell [the truth],” Chambliss said on MSNBC.“She put a softer touch on what the real facts were. That's not lying.”

US identifies terrorists who attacked its Benghazi consulate in 2012

Officials in the US say they have identified five men who might be responsible for the attack on the diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, in 2012 and there is enough evidence to justify seizing them by military force as suspected terrorists or killing them with a drone strike. However, there is not enough proof to try them in a US civilian court as the Obama administration prefers.

The men remain at large while the FBI gathers evidence. The investigation has been slowed by the reduced US intelligence presence in the region since the 11 September 2012 attacks and the limited ability to assist by Libya's post-revolutionary law enforcement and intelligence agencies, which are still in their infancy since the overthrow of the Gaddafi regime.

The decision not to seize the men militarily underscores Washington's desire to move away from hunting terrorists as enemy combatants and holding them at the military prison in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. The preference is towards a process in which most are apprehended and tried by the countries where they are living or arrested by the US with the host country's co-operation, and tried in the US criminal justice system.

A senior Obama administration official, speaking to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity, said the FBI had identified a number of individuals it believed could have information or may have been involved and was considering options to apprehend them. But taking action in remote eastern Libya would be difficult and America's relationship with Libya had to be considered.

The Libyan embassy did not respond to multiple requests for comment, the AP said.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/may/22/b...

Chaffetz told Fox News that "we had people that were getting killed, we had people who are willing to risk their lives to go save them and somebody told them to stand down."

But it’s clear from Hicks’ testimony that four Americans "getting killed" in Benghazi were already dead when the decision was made to keep the special forces team in Tripoli. The mortar attack was over. A Defense Department drone watched overhead in Benghazi as Libyan militia members helped Americans get to the airport.

Here's a visual aid for you l.l.w.
poor = 0% federal income taxes
Rich = 71% federal income taxes
Poor people get something called earned income credit, money in addition to what they made, from the government.
Rich people do not get earned income tax credit.
Where does earned income credit come from? Not the poor, they don't pay federal income tax. Maybe they get it from the 71%?
I'll explain it for you.
Look up the word "income". If you have no income you pay no income tax.
Regressive taxes like sales tax, property tax, license fees, etc. are the taxes the poor pay.

In America’s National Anthem, there is a phrase meant to bolster belief that because of the courage inherent in being American, the people enjoy liberty the rest of the world can only aspire to if they emigrated to the United States of America. The last line of America’s anthem to this nation’s greatness contains maybe the only words many Americans remember of Francis Scott Key’s poem where he asserts America is “the land of the free and the home of the brave,” and it certainly applies to America’s fighting forces, but it is a fallacy in regards to representatives in government. In fact, because of the cowardice of a large majority of politicians, over half the population is witnessing their freedoms being assaulted with extreme prejudice in Congress and Republican-controlled states, and instead of decrying the imposition of religion on women, Democrats dance around the issue out of fear of retribution from evangelical extremists.

Many Americans seem perfectly fine allowing conservative extremists to assault and deny women the right to choose their reproductive health because denying women equal rights is accepted as one of the consequences of living in a nation ruled by patriarchs. However, few Americans would sit idly by if they knew their wives, daughters, sisters, and mothers were the subject of religious extremism rivaling Islamic theocracies and harsh Sharia Law. The women of Texas are under assault by a cabal of evangelical fundamentalists, and despite the heroic action of State Senator Wendy Davis (D), evangelical governor Rick Perry called for another special legislative session for the purpose of passing and enacting legislation from America’s version of Sharia Law.

....America joins the Islamic Republic of Iran as one of the only nations on Earth to empower religion with a controlling voice in driving the direction of the nation, and like Iran, speaking out against the theocracy is a mortal sin and strictly forbidden.

I think the tax rate should be based on how ignorant a person is. The more ignorant the higher the tax. That would put you at the max rate.

We should eliminate income tax and just do that, of course with a greedy leech like you paying the highest rate.

President Barack Obama placed a phone call from Air Force One to the two gay couples who had challenged Proposition 8. He told them,“We’re proud of you guys.” Paul Katami, one of the challengers, invited the president to his wedding to his partner, Jeff Zarrillo.

David Boies, a lawyer who argued against Proposition 8, said that the rulings took the country closer to realizing the Declaration of Independence’s guarantee that all men are created equal.
