It was also before the dot-com bubble burst and Bush inheriting that recession and, of course, 9/11.
But at least you didn't blame him for the housing market crisis or the Feds putting the money accelerator to the floor.
The tax cuts spurred the economy after 9/11.
He made some spending mistakes but what president hasn't?
It's very possible Bush could have done a much better job turning things around than this president has done given one more term.
"possible"???

Okay I am looking at the CBO report where they state that one would normally expect that those who gain a job another would loose a job but that is implausible.
So, please explain where are all these "new" jobs are originating from.
The CBO also state that they normally use current Unemployment figures and GDP but dropped that standard for this report.
Maybe you an explain how the weekly new jobless claims can be 350,000 yet we add jobs over the month.

Do ya think that many people are finding jobs as many are losing them?

You get dumber eery day.

Now, let’s take a look at President Obama’s Oath of Office:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
While some may say that Snowden committed an act of treason by revealing what might be considered “Top Secret Information,” if you take a little closer look you’ll see that it’s really Obama who’s committed treason.
Snowden’s oath states: I pledge that I will never publish or reveal, by any means, classified project information to unauthorized persons.
Obama’s oath states: I will protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
And the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States guards our right to be secure in our “persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.” In other words, according to Louis Brandeis, an Associate Justice on the US Supreme Court from 1916 to 1939, we have the right to be “left alone.”
In reality, Edward Snowden is simply defending our Constitutional rights – and he’s doing a much better job at it than Obama ever has.
I MUST SAY I FEAR OBAMA MORE THAN I DO THIS GUY!!!!!!!!!!

Galt knows the GE follows tax laws that permit corporations to make billions in profit but pay no taxes. Instead of b*tching at the companies, Galt should b*tch at those who legislate the tax law.

China is still developing a major portion of their country. The plants they are installing are more efficient & less polluting than most of our coal fired generation plants.

Tenzing would call that propaganda. All other liberals will simply pretend you didn't post it. It became invisible as soon as Bush was credited for a good economy before the democrats ruined it with the bad mortgage loan crisis.
Are you still trying to peddle that crap Carol? The housing bubble started to deflate in 2006 a year before Democrats took control of Congress with very thin margins. The real cause was the de regulatory policies of the GOP. Phil Gramm inserted a key provision into the 2000 Commodity Futures Modernization Act that exempted over-the-counter derivatives like credit-default swaps from regulation by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. These credit default swaps in addition to the equally unregulated mortgage backed securities created the crash of financial institutions that caused the recession, not anything that the Democrats did.

At President Clinton’s direction, no fewer than 10 federal agencies issued a chilling ultimatum to banks and mortgage lenders to ease credit for lower-income minorities or face investigations for lending discrimination and suffer the related adverse publicity. They also were threatened with denial of access to the all-important secondary mortgage market and stiff fines, along with other penalties.
The threat was codified in a 20-page “Policy Statement on Discrimination in Lending” and entered into the Federal Register on April 15, 1994, by the Interagency Task Force on Fair Lending. Clinton set up the little-known body to coordinate an unprecedented crackdown on alleged bank redlining.
The edict — completely overlooked by the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission and the mainstream media — was signed by then-HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros, Attorney General Janet Reno, Comptroller of the Currency Eugene Ludwig and Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, along with the heads of six other financial regulatory agencies.
Clinton just directed that banks follow the current law.

Someone said this:
The people running this country are the ones committing treason.
The legislation they are passing is destroying our constitution which affects every American citizen in a harmful manner.
Snowden is a hero in my book.
Snowden for President.
----------
suppose you enjoy having these people read your emails and listening in on your phone conversations.
These are the people who have sex and booze parties on the taxpayers dime. What if they decide to strong arm you in one of their drunken stoopers?
Good luck sucker.
Snowden for President 2016
==========
If there is someone above out there by speaking his/her mind, there could be a lot more of those people in lots of places around the world.
Just what has Snowden turned in anything to China and Russia, and prove it?
Other than that, what had Snowden done as he was looking like a world traveler, besides that -- just spoke about US hacking civilians and that is a deep concern from world public?
As they say, they are the people on the job AS POLICEMEN AND JUDGES AND SO ON, who are doing the wrong, besides those snoopers.
You are just too simplistic and naive, if you do no wrong, you won't be robbed or beat up or put in jail by people in uniforms, from policemen including security guards, because you think they are no gangsters who probably by chance will want you since they want each other gangsters.
Facts do show lots of people of good citizens and behavior were victimized by those uniforms on the jobs, who are evil, ill while committing big crimes instead by doing so.
Those who can give secrecy and radar and satellite technology or other technology, as how you think, are just as good as the presidents and bureaucrats pointing fingers at whom, Snowden or who else in their thinking, but then what does it lead to?
It happened here before that passengers who paid train tickets were questioned by transit policemen by taking their tickets away to write them tickets in order to collect money, or even beat them up simply they think they are the big brothers.
YET THOSE WHO CALL THOSE POLICIES OF A POLICE STATE ARE NOT OUT THERE TO SEE AND WITNESS THAT HAPPENING, WHICH MEANS THEY ARE OF ILL FAITH AND GUILTY.
The world is unreal, unlike as what you don't know and how y0u think. IT MEANS IN NO WAY WHEN PEOPLE ARE IN UNIFORMS, CHOOSE TO HARM MANY OTHERS who do no wrong, on the job UNDER THE LAW can get away with it, BECAUSE THEY TAKE FOR GRANTED calling the policy shots and wearing UNIFORMS IS THE PROTECTION for doing everything wrong.
IN ADDITION TO UNIFORMED PEOPLE, Vast snooping IS A POLICE STATE DICTATION.
ALL YOU THINK IS THAT BIGGER COUNTRIES LIKE CHINA AND RUSSIA STANDING UP TO YOU ABOUT SNOWDEN.
There is too much radicalism out there. They say Clinton AND BUSH GAVE CHINA THE RADAR and weapon science technology and economy too, yet they never say they presidents are traitors but Snowden. You all know that Snowden has never built and won't be able to build China because he has no such aircraft blueprints.
It comes to this time of absurdity as Clinton and Bush had built up China already to talk about Snowdon now and relationship .
AS THE RADICALISM AND EXTREMISM POINT OUT, THE justice is being questioned in the US, that some people are wrongly convicted, in addition to producing situations of fabricAting AND presenting false or no evidences, to impose against justice. The example is that, when there is one Bush who had no evidence but lied about WMD-Iraq, indicates there are some such people out there BY USING FALSEHOOD OF MAKING UP STORIES.
This is time for people knowing that the real world happenings as much as you don't know, simply you are not there as well to see as much as how you think it is like.
BUT THERE IS DEFINITELY A BETTER WORLD WHICH WOULD FLING THE extremists and RADICALS AWAY.

All I can say is that the current Obama is not the man who wanted to dismantle the Bush legacy. Instead, he has:

* Continued to support unconstitutional faith based initiatives.
* Let the wars in the middle east linger on far beyond their original objectives.
* Done little to improve the economy. For the most part, the liberals seem just as inclined to support the well off, just a different portion of them.
* Has a deplorable legacy of intrusion into the private lives of Americans and others.
* Maintains a fence sitting attitude about illegal immigration, hoping to win votes without losing credibility on law enforcement.

Like all other modern politicians, he is an opportunist. I'm not going to say that he's a one-trick-pony like almost all politicians of his racial history are, but being the first black elected to the presidency is his only legacy to be remembered by. Every other issue that he could possibly claim as an accomplishment, is pretty much the result of national momentum to solve without leadership meddling.

Obama, you have not done JACK for anyone but yourself and the la-la liberals since you've been elected. All anyone has to say to is that they're glad they didn't get Romney. That's all that happens EVERY election year.

Notice how you started off with a Nobel prize you never earned, only to become the person that every nation will thwart, just because it pisses you off that you can kill Bin Laden but you can't reach American whistle-blowers who tattle on your witch hunting mob of vigilantes that have the ethical demeanor of the KKK!

Forget about doing the right thing! You clearly have no idea what that may be! Just don't break anything else while you remain in office.
