Sometime read the whole CBO report. They use the figures given to them by the politicians and then they mention that the numbers may be too optimistic in a real nice way.
Writing legit if rainbows and unicorns exist would be bad decorum.
The bottom line is you can bet it will cost up to twice what projected and estimated revenue will be 25 to 50% less-occasionally more.
The CBO bases its reports on current law & current trends.

In early 2001, we had a balanced budget & on the road to paying off our debt.

You can lie & make up sh*t all you want but this is the truth.

When Bush & Gore wee running for president, what did Bush run on?

Giving it back.

When you figure out what"it" is you will become better informed.

That clean paint is the be all tell all, Michael Hastings was murdered, and the rest is detail."

No, it uses the figures provide by the politician asking for the report.

The CBO does not, cannot, question the accuracy of the information given to it by the politicians.

Their purpose is to analysis what is given to them without commentary.

Something like that, LOL.

After the bill is passed the CBO can then go back and re-analyze using data being provided by government agencies. These are usually a little closer but tend to be error more on the optimistic side.

Except that they have not yet paid for their education and have dismal employment prospects. By the time the economy improves, employers will hire new graduates, not these folks who have been working as waitresses for years. When they realize that the education was worthless, they won't pay back the loans.

And we can thank Clinton and his democrats for putting the Community Reinvestment Act on steroids as the cause for the eventual housing market collapse.
The economic crisis began in the Clinton era. It didn't reach fruitition until the end of the Bush era.
Don't blame Bush if the economy collapsed at the end of his watch when Clinton created the first cracks in the foundation.
Every day that it rained during his 8 years in office, the Bush-Bashers blame it on him, too.

DALLAS ( CBSDFW.COM )- Hispanic leaders in North Texas are stunned that an accused serial bank robber was once one of their own. Luis Delagarza was arrested for the April robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank, but an FBI Task Force also identified him as the ‘Mesh Mask Bandit’ whose hit 19 banks since New Year’s Eve. The ‘Mesh Mask Bandit’ robbed most of his banks in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch-North Dallas area. But they are also just a few blocks away from Delagarza’s home in Farmers Branch, in a community where he made a name for himself pushing for immigration rights. His arrest has left fellow activists, such as Carlos Quintanilla, in shock.

Of course a democrat community agitator.

Hey Dumb Dave. Why were our finances doing well in nearly 2001?

Was it because of one of your lies? Is that how you are "better informed"?

Liars like you never stop lying, do you?

Certainly the Contract with America had no role, according to a liar like you.

Seems to me I remember Clinton wanting to act like Santa Claus, handing out and spending money like crazy, but a liar like you remembers things differently.
