and how often do they talk about the economy anymore?
just like the House Republicans, they only care about what most of the rest of us don't, because.....it makes for good tv.
Strange, these things appear as some of the top concerns with the American public.

WASHINGTON, June 23 (Reuters)- U.S. lawmakers on Sunday said former national security contractor Edward Snowden's reported flight to Russia with a plan to flee onward to Cuba or Venezuela undermined his whistle blower claims and they slammed Moscow for helping a fugitive.

An aircraft thought to be carrying Snowden landed in Moscow on Sunday after Hong Kong let the former U.S. National Security Agency contractor leave the territory, despite Washington's efforts to extradite him to face espionage charges.

According to a source at Russia's Aeroflot airline, Snowden was traveling to Moscow and was planning to go to Venezuela via Cuba.

Democratic U.S. Senator Charles Schumer charged that Russian President Vladimir Putin likely knew and approved of Snowden's flight from Hong Kong to Russia. He said that will "have serious consequences" for a U.S.-Russian relationship already strained over Syria and human rights.

Would Romney, or McCain (if either had been elected) have dismantled the DHS? the NSA? the Drone Program?

Which party created the DHS? You republicans own it, just don't like that a Democratic President can excersise those powers.

You are forgetting the red line in the sand president nobama drew. Mc Cain was at least able to talk to the Syrian rebels, nobama apparently is unable to do so.
Speaking of Gitmo, did not president nobama, say his first priority would be to close Gitmo. Just like all of his BS promises no action, 4 1/2 years in office, closing Gitmo was just another of his lies. nobama has nary a clue. Whats up today, another global warming speech. Why does nobama not make positive actions to lower the number of American's on food stamps? Or figure out why household incomes are falling? Or why fewer American's are paying the federal income taxes that support your worthless azz. Or why home values and home sales are at lower than the levels when he took office.
It is always a good day when you show up to spew your left wing garbage, it can be amusing.

Guantanamo Bay To Stay Open As House Blocks Bill To Close Infamous Prison

WASHINGTON -- A worsening hunger strike and a fresh plea by President Barack Obama to close the Guantanamo Bay prison fell on deaf ears in Congress Friday, as the House of Representatives voted to keep the increasingly infamous jail open.

The House voted to make it harder for Obama to begin shifting inmates, adding a restriction to the National Defense Authorization Act of 2014 that bars any of the roughly 56 prisoners who have been cleared by military and intelligence officials to be sent to Yemen from being transferred there for one year. Some 30 other Gitmo inmates of the 166 kept there have also been cleared for release.

You act like the poor don't pay taxes. Seems to me the real crybabies are those who don't want to lose their tax loopholes or have their dividends taxed like everyone else's income.

Fact: Prior to the Bush tax cuts in 2003, dividends were taxed at a higher rate than normal income and, guess what....we were FAR better off. Too bad we can't just rewind the clock and get rid of the Bush administration altogether.

Let's say that George Washington began the Food Stamp Program along with Free Cellphones. Also, let's say that JFK began the NSA, Hoover created the IRS and that Woodrow Wilson created the DOJ.

Now...tell me what in the hell does this all have to do with the Magic Negro abusing the hell out of these departments of government?

1. Surveillance has contributed to thwarting more than 50 terror plots since 9/11, according to the NSA.
NSA Director Keith Alexander testified that NSA surveillance has played a role in preventing more than 50 terrorist attacks since September 11, 2001. FBI deputy director Sean Joyce provided an outline of four of those cases:

2. The NSA doesn't need court approval each time it searches Americans' phone records.

3. 10 NSA officials have permission to give information about US citizens to the FBI
There are 10 NSA officials—including Inglis and Alexander—involved in determining whether information collected about US citizens can be provided to the FBI. It can only be shared if there's independent evidence that the target has connections to a terrorist organization. Inglis said that if the information is found to be irrelevant, it must be destroyed. If the NSA mistakenly targets an American citizen, it must report this to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

4. Other countries are less transparent than the US, officials say.
Cole said that the FISA Amendments Act provides more due process than is afforded to citizens of European countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. Alexander added that "virtually all" countries have laws that compel telecommunications firms to turn over information on suspects.

5) Fewer than 300 phone numbers were targeted in 2012.
NSA officials say that even though the agency has access to Americans' phone records, it investigated fewer than 300 phone numbers connected to US citizens in 2012. The officials did not provide any detail on the number of email addresses targeted.

When were dividends ever taxed at a higher rate than ordinary income?

Increasing dividend taxation to ordinary income levels will discourage investment, depress the stock market, and jeopardize the solvency of many pension funds and retirement accounts.

Some folks have generous government pensions. Others depend on dividends and interest from their investments for retirement income

All around great idea.

If what you say is true, why do you blame him for things he can't control like, the Boston bombing, the CIA scandal, & the fact that this country couldn't continue paying for 2 wars so he ended Iraq &, Afghanistan is winding down. Basically y'all blame him for most things that correlates directly to Bush.

George Washington did something bigger than all that , he founded the first public corporation to build the largest public works project of his time in building the Erie Canal and opening the American West to expansion and development.
