Best practices would be to save your own scarce oil (leave it in the ground) and develop more plentiful reserves of energy alternatives that you have more readily at hand and the inexpensive ,simple technology to develop it from the sun, wind, and earth.
Scarce? Who've you been listening to, the Saudis?

Wind, solar and battery power are, at this point, novel possibilities. We can't depend on 'alternatives' that haven't been perfected. Oil utilization has been perfected. The infrastructure is in place, the cost, in comparison, is low. What, exactly, would we "save" our petroleum resources for?

If lower prices and a North Dakota-like economic boom aren't enough, the political implications with the Arab world should be enough to go balls out with "drill, baby, drill."

Let's focus on something that we can actually change.

Or to use the polls again and something more applicable.
Those who "approve" being spied on was roughly the same number who approved of Obama's job performance at the time of the polls.
Obama's number have slipped since then.
Perhaps just another odd "coincidence" but about the same number of people who prefer chocolate over vanilla and strawberry.

Spooky what you can do with polling data.

The prominent Senate voices in the Republican Party are now Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio.

McCain and Graham are history, convenient foils for the Democrats and their lapdog media.

He believes bureaucratic pressure and economic hardship will 'force' the invention of this new source. Typical strong-arm mentality.

Perhaps we are not meant to know the extent if these practices, if we know then so do our enemies.
Do you really think the NSA is listening to Aunt Battie Lou's and Whatever's conversations?
Ummmm, NSA is under the Executive Branch with Congressional oversight.

Doesn't matter if I'm worried about them spying on Carol, its what else they can do with the capacity we allow them. Should the government be free to spy on its domestic "enemies" a la Nixon?

We CAN do something. Instead of being so concerned with supporting a winner we could concern ourselves with voting for people who don't support the machine these two parties have built.

Some people get so confused.
While others, like you, are just plain stupid and come here peddling outrageous lies.

"Iraq war ended before Obama took office??"

Funny, the surrender document that Bush signed left combat troops in Iraq until "U.S. forces will be completely out of Iraq by December 31, 2011"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S.%E2%80%93Ira...

Seems Obama took office in Jan. 2009. So we had combat forces and Americans dying in Iraq for 3 years of Obama's administration.

Is there anything a post menopausal old dirtbag like you won't lie about?? It appears not.

I caught you in yet another lie, and I haen't been here for weeks!!

Your Obamaphobia is making you crazier by the day.

Look around you, is their anything near you that isn't at least partially composed of petroleum product or that petroleum products (other than as an energy source) were used their manufacture?

In the near future when petroleum based energy has been replaced by better technology there's still gonna be a big demand for oil.
