Totally agree! Buy produce at local growers stands. Tomatoes are .79 a pound; at Publix, they're $1.95 a pound. Same tomatoes.<quoted text>Calm down booby. There is more to it than just the Chinese aspect, that is mostly for Flack's benefit and his undying love for his Communist Chinese overlords.
Let's not forget:
Exploitation of the workers
Drain on the federal government
Putting the local shops out of business
Destruction of the local community
Forcing companies to sell at ridiculously low prices or shut them out, which also has a trickle down effect, those companies make less which they then turn and pay their employees less
Walmart is pure evil.
People are just lazy and pay. The local store doesn't get to keep the sales tax, that's pure profit on top of everything else.
Costco works with a 15% markup across the board, has the highest paid employees, with benefits and only a 5% turnover rate. Their philosophy is; a happy employee increases sales.
