The over-hyped accusations don't really work.
What over-hyped accusations?? What planet are you on? Who in their right mind would deny the widespread abuse of children by Catholic priests.

There is even evidence that Cardinal Ratzinger' instituted the policy to relocating pedophile priests to another parish when caught, without warning the new parish in order to protect the priest, not the children. Let's not even go into the fact that the policy was clearly against the law and constituted aiding and abetting in a felony.

The fact that the Vatican was orchestrating the policy is borne out by the fact that child abuse scandals were exposed in Italy, Ireland, Germany and Australia.

Former President George W. Bush on Thursday defended some of the cellphone data-gathering tactics used by the National Security Agency that have caused a public uproar in recent weeks, saying America’s “still at risk” and it’s about “connecting the dots” in the war on terror.
“There’s kind of a view that maybe they’ve gone away – they haven’t,” Bush said, referring to terrorists.“And now, techniques used to prevent attacks have been disclosed. I don’t know if you remember after 9/11, Congress had hearings, right? And you know what the hearings were about? We didn’t connect the dots. Well, we didn’t have the tools there to connect the dots.”
“One of the killers makes a phone call from San Diego to somewhere, how come you didn’t know? We didn’t have the tools. We’ve got the tools. Now the people in Congress are saying,‘Why are you connecting the dots?’ It’s a tough assignment for the president. It is.”

Great, but how about someone with national stature who would have a chance.

Mackey does deserve a look He does not identify as a skeptic of scientific opinion on climate change; rather, he believes that "climate change is perfectly natural and not necessarily bad."

Mackey is also anti-union and anti-Obamacare.

Prime Minister and John Kerry ambushed nervous Obama to force him to arm Syrian rebels

David Cameron and US Secretary of State John Kerry secretly ganged up to persuade a nervous Barack Obama to back Britain’s bid to arm Syrian rebels, it was revealed last night.
The Prime Minister and Mr Kerry’s diplomatic ambush of President Obama succeeded when they won his support for a showdown with Russia’s Vladimir Putin – a key ally of Syria’s President Assad – when Mr Cameron hosts a G8 summit in Northern Ireland tomorrow.
Obama’s surprise U-turn came 24 hours after Foreign Secretary William Hague slipped into Washington almost completely unnoticed to meet Mr Kerry. In recent weeks, while supporting Mr Obama publicly, Mr Kerry has told Mr Hague privately that he strongly backs Britain’s calls to get tough with Assad. But he could not win over the US President, who feared getting dragged into a repeat of the Iraq War.

Because the American people do not trust the IRS.

really john???

You must of missed the first part of my post where I said I disagreed with the NSA data mining, wiretapping and decision to supply arms to the Syrian rebels, and I'm a supporter of President Obama. How does that jive with your declaration of Obamabot Party

Maybe you should check out the voting logs of Congress?

dude, c'mon let's be real. While the voting record of the republican party is almost always the same, you can't in all honesty say the same about the Democratic party.

In fact "primaried" has taken on a verb form....as in if you as a republican stray from the party line, you'll be "primaried" out of office.

I expect a little more honesty out of you

How dumb do you want everyone on Topix to know that you are? "Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the United States Constitution, sometimes referred to as the War Powers Clause, vests in the Congress the power to declare war, in the following wording:

[Congress shall have Power...] To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water; " Check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Powers_Claus...
