Yup, except that most of them are still voting D or R. Its my purpose to educate them.
Hmmm, I never regarded a Topix Message board as an outreach tool.

The majority of candidates belongs to one of the National Parties -so I find them voting for someone with one of those initials behind their names as not remarkable.

the NSA data mining and monitoring of phone calls started after 9/11/2001 with the help of the Patriot Act. We knew about it back then and a whistle blower came forward in 2006

An article in Thursday's USA Today reported that three of the largest U.S. phone companies have been providing the National Security Agency with phone records from millions of Americans since 9/11. Two senators discuss the program's legal and security issues now that the public is aware of it.
Where was your concern back then??
Why wasn't there any outrage from conservatives when the Buah administration started the program?
Is it because a black man is now doing the same thing?
So it is okay for NSA to enlarge their program and continue to spy because Obama is in office?

Tea Party. PARTY. The name implies this is primaroly an organization looking to put forth their own candidates.
This is NOT permitted under the rules for the tax exempt status they applied for.
Its that simple.
Yer gonna have to make it even simpler.

Quit blaming the IRS for following the law instead blaming the Tea Party groups that were so GD dumb.
The law is written to be applied the same for every one,not just the people that support the Obama agenda. It is not pick and choose Tuesday and our country was not founded on the radical left wing corruption that saturates and surrounds The White House.

We supplied weapons and munition to the French in the 50 in their Indochina war games.....
We supplied intel and aid to England during the Falklands War
we supplied arms and munitions to Israel in 73, in fact Israel had lost so many tanks, we were pulling tanks out of Europe and sending them directly to Israel, heck the paint had barely time to dry before being sent into battle
we supplied arms, munitions and intel to Saddam during their war with Iran in the 80's
we supplied arms and munitions to the Muhajjadeen in the 80's in their war against the gov't of Afghanistan
where were the Congressional votes to declare war in those situations>
Why weren't you concerned when republican presidents were providing military aid to one side of a conflict?

Former President George W. Bush on Thursday defended some of the cellphone data-gathering tactics used by the National Security Agency that have caused a public uproar in recent weeks, saying America’s “still at risk” and it’s about “connecting the dots” in the war on terror.

“There’s kind of a view that maybe they’ve gone away – they haven’t,” Bush said, referring to terrorists.“And now, techniques used to prevent attacks have been disclosed. I don’t know if you remember after 9/11, Congress had hearings, right? And you know what the hearings were about? We didn’t connect the dots. Well, we didn’t have the tools there to connect the dots.”

“One of the killers makes a phone call from San Diego to somewhere, how come you didn’t know? We didn’t have the tools. We’ve got the tools. Now the people in Congress are saying,‘Why are you connecting the dots?’ It’s a tough assignment for the president. It is.”

I never said it was. I didn't like the program under Bush either, nor do I like it under President Obama.

But unlike conservative republicans, my opinion is consistent.

I also am against President Obama decision to help the Syrian rebels...

see, again unlike conservative republicans, I don't follow the Democratic President lock step.

I've seen what happens to republican politicians who don't follow the party line lock step....
Senators Luger & Hagel, two men I've always looked up to, are prime examples.

too me there is almost nothing more scary than a party with no dissent, no room for differences of opinion. an organization where everyone thinks the same.

The words "1,2,3, we declare war" is not neccessary

Approval for monies to be utilized for combat purposes in a foreign country meets the law and is viewed as Declaration of War by historians.
