Madeline Notsobright - February 18, 1998

Iraq is a long way from Ohio, but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face. And it is a threat against which we must, and will, stand firm.

So you have never heard of treaties with our allies that promises aid and support to them? Treaties MUST be approved by Congress.
what treaty allowed the U.S. to provide arms to the French for their involvement in a war with one of their colonies??
what treaty allowed the U.S. to provide aid to England for the Falklands war?
what treaty allowed the U.S. to provide aid to Saddam in his war with Iran?
what treaty allowed the U.S. to provide aid to the Muhajjdeen Afghanistan?

what treaty allowed the U.S. to provide aid to the Contras?? Oh wait a minute, Congress actually enacted legislation to prevent the U.S. from providing aid to those terrorists known as the Contras. That's why the Reagan administration sold weapons and munitions to the terrorist state of Iran and the Revolutionary Guard.

Hmmm, I never regarded a Topix Message board as an outreach tool.
The majority of candidates belongs to one of the National Parties -so I find them voting for someone with one of those initials behind their names as not remarkable.
Uhhh, you just said only about 30% of Americans had any faith in the government. That means 70% should NOT be voting for the architects of such a disdained institution.

Approval for monies to be utilized for combat purposes in a foreign country meets the law and is viewed as Declaration of War by historians.

Two steps forward...enter communism, power quests and turmoil --ten steps back.

Just found the pictures worth a thousand words...rather interesting.

Flagging someone BECAUSE they had "Tea Party" in their name is what got the IRS in trouble.
It is apparent you are not familiar with the IG report.

I never said it was. I didn't like the program under Bush either, nor do I like it under President Obama.
But unlike conservative republicans, my opinion is consistent.
I also am against President Obama decision to help the Syrian rebels...
see, again unlike conservative republicans, I don't follow the Democratic President lock step.
I've seen what happens to republican politicians who don't follow the party line lock step....
Senators Luger & Hagel, two men I've always looked up to, are prime examples.
too me there is almost nothing more scary than a party with no dissent, no room for differences of opinion. an organization where everyone thinks the same.
So now we know the depth and reach of the NSA program.

Hagel routinely voted against the wishes of the voters of the state that hired him.

Hagel was my senator and a complete ass.

Makes no difference what your opinion is as this is not decided by a raise of hands.
The IG report did not call any targeting illegal.
