Not my party . I've voted for more democrats than republicans. Don't know how many more time I have to tell you all that. Although The Tea Party is aligned at present with a lot of what I believe I'm not nor ever have been a member. I did go to one gathering down at the beach by the house there but it was more to see Scott Rigel than the Tea Party. What a joke he turned out to be. But what do you expect from a car dealer. It's time to get politics out of politics and to start worrying about turning this country around from the socialism that is eating it from within..

I couldn't agree more. You haven't delivered anything to reverberate since you set foot on Topix.

"Millions of illegal immigrants would be put on a pathway to legal status and eventually have the chance to apply for citizenship in exchange for paying fines and taxes, under the terms of the immigration overhaul being unveiled this week.
According to an outline of the bill released to Fox News late Monday night, the massive legalization program would be twinned with a multibillion-dollar effort to boost border security.
It would require the Homeland Security Department to create and launch plans for border security and fencing before illegal immigrants can enter a provisional status. This could happen as early as six months after enactment of the bill.
They would remain in that provisional status for 10 years, able to work legally but barred from federal benefits like welfare or health care. After 10 years they could seek green cards conferring permanent legal status, provided the security and fencing plans have been "substantially" carried out. After another three years, those immigrants could petition for citizenship."
"There's a realization among most Republicans and Democrats that this issue needs to be addressed," said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., a leader of the effort. "You can't have 11 million people living in the shadows forever."

Obama Hatred and the IRS

....Over the years since Obama arrived on scene, right-wingers have believed and circulated and peddled the following about him (and this is just a very partial list from snopes.com , putting aside the ones you already know about the birth certificate and his “Muslim” heritage): that he refuses to recite the Pledge of Allegiance; that his campaign was funded by Hugo Chavez; that he wanted to replace “The Star Spangled Banner” with the less martial “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing”; that he must have used a non-U.S. passport to travel to Pakistan in 1981; that he plans to ban recreational fishing in the United States; that he had to surrender his law license; has banned the National Day of Prayer; stopped wearing his wedding ring in observance of Ramadan; and once kissed David Cameron, smack on the lips.

All that is to say nothing of the racist invective that is the constant background music of this presidency. We in the media never discuss this (go Google “chat board Obama n----r,” except use the actual word, and just see what you get), but it is a daily diet in this country—yes, daily—and nothing said about any president in history that I can think of comes close to matching its relentless and savage sickness.

This is the rage the Republicans are feeding—and conservative intellectuals are doing their best to ignore. And no, it’s not this way when the situation is reversed. The Democrats specifically did not embark on these political fishing expeditions, and while much of the base wanted them to, a lot of liberal commentators did not.(I was against pursing impeachment charges against Bush and Cheney, which you can read about here; I did urge Democrats to hold war profiteering hearings, on which they vexingly ignored me.) The liberal base hated George Bush all right, but the hate wasn’t quite as existential, wasn’t quite as drenched in the same kind of suppurated derangement one finds in quarters of the right.

Besides which, Bush discredited himself through his uniform incompetence. Obama, clearly competent, has not done that and is unlikely to do it. So the Republicans have to do it to him. Tarnishing Obama is the only way they can emerge from these eight years not completely humiliated by him, so we’re just going to have to endure it.

It was sold by the democrats--they 'promised' many things--but lied. They didn't keep their end of the compromise--they never do. Democrats always 'promise' but never deliver. Ronald Reagan took the democrats at their word. But as he learned and the rest of us know--democrats should never be taken at their word-even if their word is put down on paper and signed.

So, as far as I'm concerned anyway, the jury is out on this.
She also called Jewish Americans too rich and too powerful. I want to know, as a Jewish-American so stereotyped by her where my tremendous riches and power are and why, if my riches and power are so great, an anti-Israel Prez–who nominates scum like her–got elected.

Powers did say something to that effect. She later apologized for it. But, other than this president, she and her husband, Sunstein, are about as far left as you can get. Sunstein is a big animal rights activist but, then again, so am I. I don't believe, as he does, that animals should have legal rights but I do believe, as he does, people should be able to sue other people who abuse animals.
When did the Democratic Party become so radical and power hungry that they have forgotten their place and their obligation to represent all the people once elected into office?
This president literally believes it's them against us. "Us" just wants to put a morbidly obese government on a diet and a more accountable government.
How could that possibly be a threat to "them"? To the point of stripping "us" of our rights?
Don’t worry... Chuck Hagel became Defense Secretary by making similar comments. I’m sure this bitch will be confirmed by the Senate in spades.

Got Verizon? millions of terrorists are being monitored and collected by the O'bama administration--if what the O'bama says is true...we are in deep Islam sheet. Seems to me it isn't about moslems. Why Fox Just Can't Make The Benghazi Talking Points A Thing

If you've been casually paying attention to politics for the past few months, you're probably aware that the White House is dealing with a scandal of some sort involving last September's attacks on U.S. diplomatic facilities in Benghazi, Libya. You might also know that it has something to do with some talking points and some emails and who made some edits and when those edits were approved and by whom. And therein lies the reason why, despite enthusiastic efforts by Fox News and other axe-grinders on the right have to turn the editing of a sheet of talking points into a full-bore, front-page scandal for the Obama administration, it just hasn't taken off. Trying to coherently and accessibly explain why the average person who isn't a reflexive partisan should consider this a "scandal" is all but impossible.

...Benghazi was supposed to be the thing that took Obama down (Obama's Watergate). Or rather, the latest thing that was supposed to take Obama down (the latest in a long line of Obama's Watergates). Obviously it didn't, and the continued obsessive focus on Benghazi hasn't done much to erode the president's standing. But they'll just keep retelling the joke hoping that eventually someone will find it funny.
