OECD Forecasts Global Economy to Recover Next Year: Economy
By Mark Deen - May 29, 2013 3:41 AM PT
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development forecasts global economic growth will accelerate in 2014 with both the U.S. and Japan continuing to outpace the euro area.
“The global economy is moving forward and it is doing so at multiple speeds,” OECD Chief Economist Pier Carlo Padoan said today in the Paris-based organization’s semi-annual Economic Outlook. Differing monetary and fiscal choices across the major developed economies are driving regional divergence with “each path carrying its own mix of risks,” he said.

Home prices up 10 percent: How strong is this year’s US housing market?
Sales volume is rising, and the inventory of homes in foreclosure is down almost 25 percent from a year ago. Here’s some more context to put the recent trends in home prices in perspective.
News of the first double-digit annual home price gain since 2006 raises a question: Just how blazing hot is the housing market?
Clearly a recovery has gathered some steam.
Home prices have been rising across all 20 US cities that are tracked by Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller indexes, and the widely watched Case-Shiller nationwide index shows home prices up 10.2 percent over the past four quarters.

The middle class has LOST income during this administration and the unemployment rate is still far too high, especially for the years it has gone on. The fact is the only people that are doing well is the rich, and they are getting much richer. Obama is good for the rich, he sucks for the middle class....you know....his main priority! The average person is NOT in the stock market and most middle class American's have had to learn to get by with lower incomes and higher gas and grocery prices and higher insurance premium. Obama is causing another housing bubble just like the last and a student loan bubble on top of that and for some reason he is either too stupid to see it or just doesn't care as long as the numbers look good right now. That of course is his desperation to show ANY improvement under his leadership, of course it is nothing but a delusion. Obama has done NOTHING for the middle class but destruction.

Then why were all you righties on here yesterday so vigorously defending George W. Bush's incompetence? The statement by itself is in opposition. You have a title meaning you all think alike & argue the same nonsense. When gay marriage was the topic, I was opposed to the left & I remember you say," the lefts on here were wrong for attacking me for my view of the situation." You turned around & did the same thing on countless other topics. That's because I have no political affiliation to 1 group or the other & you do, so when I'm in opposition to your beliefs, you'll attack me as only a rightie could, same for the left!

THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER IN OBAMA'S WORLD
This one is a little different... Two Different Versions! Two Different Morals!

OBAMA'S WORLD VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all
summer long, building his house and laying up
supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and
laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a
press conference and demands to know why the
ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed
while others are cold and ... starving.

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with
a table piled high with food. America is stunned
by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth
and plenty, this poor grasshopper is allowed to
suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears with the grasshopper on
Oprah and everybody cries when they sing,'It's
Not Easy Being Green.'

Acorn stages a demonstration in front of the ant's
house where the news stations film the group singing,'We shall overcome.' Rev. Jeremiah Wright then has the group curse God for the grasshopper's sake.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview
with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off
the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an
immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his
fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity &
Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning
of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, interest, fines and penalties, his home is seized by the Government Green Czar.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing
up the last bits of the ant’s food while the government house he is living in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned and covered with graffiti, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY:
Be careful how you vote in 2010(4).
``````````
TRADITIONAL one:
OLD VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all
summer long, building his house and laying up
supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and
laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.
The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he
dies out in the cold.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself.
You really are daft aren't you. The American Indians never gave up their guns during the genocide that they went through during the 19th century. There was no gun control back then
and if you think armed Jews could have stopped the Nazi war machine of Stuka dive bombers, tiger tanks, 88's, Panzers, you are clearly deluded and should study the Warsaw ghetto uprising. Only 20 Germans were killed compared to 13,000 Polish Jews
BTW Hitler was a right wing Fascist, Stalin, Lenin and Mao were an authoritarian despots all were about as far as liberal as you can get.
W va, Dist of Columbia, Hawaii and Maine are ALL blue states.
Second, you failed to acknowledge that these monies are not tied exclusively to social programs. A lot of the monies certain states receive such as Alaska is payment for using the land for federal purposes such as massive state parks, etc.
Third, you failed to acknowledge some of the monies received to states are earmarked for Indian tribes due to ancient treaties.
Synopsis of post- if you think your post shows what you thought it did you are wrong. If you thought you could throw out random stats and everybody would buy what you said as the truth then you are wrong again.
