Well, you should be outraged then about the massive waste perpetrated by the federal government and this administration if you're this miffed about the overbloated bureaucracy in West Texas.
Are you this stupid or obtuse on purpose? The West Texas fertilizer fire and explosion was caused by the waste, mismanagement, criminal behavior , and overbloated bureaucracy of a West Texas corporation that put profit first that was opposed to the public interest, like other too big corporations like Exxon-Mobil, BP, TransCanada, etc.

Richard Nixon was the last president to be that transparent with his "enemies list", but this administration outdid him.
Targeting average citizens and nonthreatening small groups of citizens who simply don't agree with this administration and are concerned about the direction this country is going - which is the majority - using the strong arm of the IRS is not how we do things here.

Lord Acton famously noted that "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

In a pathetic attempt to defend President Obama, another noted statesman, David Axelrod, said that the president couldn't possibly know about all these scandals because "the government is so vast." Therein lies the problem. The government is so vast and BIG!!!.

Just a few years ago, President Clinton assured us that the era of big government was over. He could not have been more wrong. Now we have not just big government, but big brother running big government.

When grows government this big, these kinds of scandals are inevitable, and Obama bears the responsibility for that.

One of Utah's top gun lobbyists was arrested for threatening the family of his ex-wife with his two-and-a-half ton Army surplus vehicle. I guess my first question would be—is there a background check to buy one of those? Gun lobbyist Clark Aposhian drove onto the lawn of his ex-wife's family with the vehicle, on which he had painted the words "Zombie Response Vehicle." Aposhian is involved with a custody dispute with his ex-wife. He also seems to have some sort of unspecified beef with zombies.

It wouldn't be so 'bad' to be 'Cuba'. Cuba is a small, sustainable state , focused inward on serving the needs and interests of its own people, one of the best healthcare opened to all Cubans, with few foreign policy problems,or enemies. Thomas Jefferson once dreamed about America being a small, agrarian-based propertied gentry class democratic republic with few foreign ties and focused inwardly on developing a moderate small economy in harmony with the stability of the surrounding , overarching natural ecology.

Conservatives are conducting a war on food stamps. To be more accurate, they are conducting a war on food stamp recipients—I'm sure they would have no problem with food stamps if they could go to corporations. The GOP wants to pay giant agribusiness firms not to grow food, so I guess it makes sense for them to deny food to the poor. If there was more demand for food, then agribusiness might actually have to engage in agriculture

RS, AP and Benghazi Show the Failure of Obama's Big Government

Big Government Makes For Big Obama Screwups and More Waste You Idiot...

Life is tough!! It's even tougher if you're more stupid RealDave!!

The leadership failures and bureaucratic dysfunction exposed by the Internal Revenue Service scandal should be a wake up call to anybody who believes bigger government can solve this nation's problems.

How can an "impotent" bureaucracy with "poor management" and the IRS with its "capacity for incompetence and stupidity," as left-leaning commentators David Ignatius and Ruth Marcus both wrote in the Washington Post last week, possibly be trusted to take on the Obama's ambitious agenda?

If the IRS example teaches us anything, it's that giving an inefficient organization more responsibility makes it more likely to screw up, not better able to solve this nation's problems
Now we have not just big government, but big brother running big government, destroying the middle class...

Fact: The IRS is required to determine whether organizations applying for special tax status are "social welfare" groups or are instead engaged in political activity. Political groups cannot get the special tax status these groups were applying for.
Fact: Only one-third of the groups that were passed to specialists for a closer look were "conservative." Lots of other organizations were also checked, including progressive organizations.
Fact: No groups were audited or harassed or "targeted" or "singled out." This was about applications for special tax status being forwarded to specialists for a closer look to see if they were engaged in political activity that would disqualify them for the special tax status. This closer look is the kind of review all organization should get, but the IRS was swamped because of the flood of groups applying for a status that let them mask their donors, after Citizens United.
Fact: No groups were harmed. There were delays while the groups were checked to see if they should have special tax status. That's it. But the rules are that they are allowed to operate as if they had that status while they waited for official approval.
Fact: The only groups actually denied special tax status were progressive groups, not conservative groups. In 2011, during the period that "conservative groups were targeted" the New York Times carried the story, 3 Groups Denied Break by I.R.S. Are Named . The three groups? Drum roll ... "The I.R.S. denied tax exemption to the groups — Emerge Nevada, Emerge Maine and Emerge Massachusetts — because, the agency wrote in denial letters, they were set up specifically to cultivate Democratic candidates."
Fact: The IRS commissioner in charge at the IRS at the time this happened was appointed President George W. Bush.
Fact: According to the inspector general's report (p. 10) in the "majority of cases, we agreed that the applications submitted included indications of significant political campaign intervention."
So Carol, where was the betrayal of trust and why should there be any consequences?

Mitch McConnell’s campaign ad tying Obama to Nixon over the IRS scandal

We understand that political ad makers like to capture what they call the “essence” of interviews by grabbing short clips. But even with those low standards, this video goes too far.

The McConnell campaign video takes a legitimate debate over whether the activity is illegal and turns it into the next Watergate. The full extent of the administration’s involvement in the IRS activities may not be fully known yet, but no evidence has emerged that Obama or his aides directed the IRS to engage in illegal activities.

The McConnell campaign should not be so quick to levy such accusations, especially when it has to rely on deceptive editing to make them. It is perfectly fine to ask questions, but in this case, the campaign suggests it already knows the answers.
