President Obama pulled the US troops out of Iraq to keep a promise that he'd made to his liberal base. It was a decision that many predict will come back to bite us. This administration pulled out just before the job was finished."
Faleh Abdul-Jabbar, the director of the Baghdad-based Iraq Institute for Strategic Studies, told the BBC the US withdrawal would be "counter-productive for so many reasons," pointing to Iraq's political vacuum and its "weak army and reviving insurgency".
"Withdrawal at this point would send the wrong signals to the political class, saying that the US is withdrawing no matter what. And second, it would send the wrong signal also to the insurgency - dormant or active - that we are withdrawing no matter what, and they would see it as a retreat."
But guess that's just okey-dokey with you being part of Obama's liberal base.
Because Obama always gets his way - even if it's the wrong way.
Which is it, did Obama pull the troops out or, was it already set in stone by Bush & Obama simply left his policy alone, just like he left the Bush tax breaks in place? Pick 1 because, you seem to flip flop quite often. When you want to give credit, it's Bush's policies, when you want to assess blame, it's Obama's fault. That would fall under either hypocrite or confused. Maybe both, a confused hypocrite!

The Afghanis are soon to be abandoned. Hate to think of the carnage after he calls it quits.
It's not so much about fighting an enemy because we have to as much as it is about Obama not knowing how to do it.
Under the "US/Afghan Strategic Partnership Agreement" U.S. troop levels and residual US forces will remain in Afghanistan until 2024 or longer if mutually agreed upon. One could hardly call that abandonment.

I question why?

"Does anyone think our staying until 2024 is going to bring peace and stability to Afghanistan?" ask Kevin Martin and Michael Eisenscher in an op-ed on Common Dreams. "We’ve already been there for eleven years – the longest war in our country’s history. What do we really have to show for it? We’ve spent almost $523 billion. Almost 2000 Americans have been killed and another 15,300 wounded. 1000 NATO troops have lost their lives."

Bring our troops home.

Bush43 had wasted so much time on the surge that he had little time in office left to do anything but sign an agreement to 'cut &run' before his political party got booted out of power in the 2008 U S elections.
Not to mention that much of the ,cough, surge consisted of CIA folks handing out suitcases full of cash in Anbar and Diyalah Provinces.

Perhaps with this explanation of how the written English language works, you can now read the post and understand how stupid your reply was. Here's the post again:

Which rebel leaders? Al Qaeda?
That's important, you know.
Can you identify the different rebel factions in Syria?
Which factions are Wahhabist terrorists?
Are we arming them?

Good News For America - Bipartisan cooperation

President Barack Obama and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie revived their political odd-couple partnership Tuesday for a tour of a rebuilt Jersey Shore that was devastated by Hurricane Sandy seven months ago.

President Barack Obama delivers remarks Tuesday from Asbury Park, N.J., after touring areas that are rebuilding from Hurricane Sandy.
The two were there to usher in the beginning of the summer tourist season and showed that the comfortable public relationship they displayed in the immediate aftermath of the storm last fall remained as the leaders spoke with beachgoers, played boardwalk games and high-fived one another after Christie aced one contest.
Jane Says wrote:

British lions come up lambs in Woolwich.
By Mark Steyn
…Not a lot of Muslims want to go to the trouble of chopping your head off, but when so many Western leaders have so little rattling around up there, they don’t have to. And, as we know from the sob-sister Tsarnaev profiles, most of these excitable lads are perfectly affable, or at least no more than mildly alienated, until the day they set a hundred cars alight, or blow up a school boy, or decapitate some guy. And, if you’re lucky, it’s not you they behead, or your kid they kill, or even your Honda Civic they light up.
And so life goes on, and it’s all so “mundane,” in Simon Jenkins’s word, that you barely notice when the Jewish school shuts up, and the gay bar, and the uncovered women no longer take a stroll too late in the day, and the publishing house that gets sent the manuscript for the next Satanic Verses decides it’s not worth the trouble....
But don’t worry, they’ll never defeat our “free speech” and our “way of life.”
This passivity set the tone for what followed. In London as in Boston, THE POLITICO-MEDIA CLASS IMMEDIATELY LAPSED INTO THE PNEUMATIC MULTICULTI TOURETTE’S THAT SEEMS TO BE A CHRONIC SIDE EFFECT OF EXCESS DIVERSITY-CELEBRATING: No Islam to see here, nothing to do with Islam, all these body parts in the street are a deplorable misinterpretation of Islam.

That’s why it fits so harmoniously into famously peaceful societies like, say, Sweden. For the last week Stockholm has been ablaze every night with hundreds of burning cars set alight by “youths.” Any particular kind of “youth”? The Swedish prime minister declined to identify them any more precisely than as “hooligans.”
But don’t worry: The “hooligans” and “youths” and men of no Muslim appearance whatsoever can never win because, as David Cameron ringingly declared,“they can never beat the values we hold dear, the belief in freedom, in democracy, in free speech, in our British values, Western values.”
Actually, they’ve already gone quite a way toward eroding free speech, as both prime ministers demonstrate.
The short version of what happened in Woolwich is that two Muslims butchered a British soldier in the name of Islam and helpfully explained,“The only reason we have done this is because Muslims are dying every day.” But what do they know?
They’re only Muslims, not Diversity Outreach Coordinators. So the BBC, in its so-called “Key Points,” declined to mention the “Allahu akbar” bit or the “I”-word at all: Allah who?
One in ten Britons under 25 is now Muslim. That number will increase, through immigration, disparate birth rates, and conversions like those of the Woolwich killers, British-born and -bred. Metternich liked to say the Balkans began in the Landstrasse, in southeast Vienna.
Today, the Dar al-Islam begins in Wellington Street, in southeast London. That’s a “betrayal” all right, but not of Islam.

The amount returned last year because of the medical loss ratio was trivial and most went to the employer who paid the premiums, not to individuals.

The individual mandate was essential to the insurance companies because otherwise covering pre-existing conditions would bankrupt them. And still might, if enough people choose to pay the tax instead of buying insurance. Why buy insurance if you can demand coverage after you develop a serious chronic illness?

They must have rallied their ridiculous cheerleaders, because the people here at the shore area are absolutely furious with BOTH of these campaigning fools for the lack of help shore residents have been receiving since Hurricane Sandy struck. They put on a good "show" for the media, but the devastated residents here are still suffering the effects of the both the hurricane and the disingenuous promises of help bandied about by the two clowns, Obama and his new hip sista, Christie.
