Solar power is viable only in the southwestern US.
Wind power is viable in relatively limited areas.
Neither are reliable and both require redundant fossil or nuclear power.
Power cannot be stored in great quantities nor transmitted over long distances.
But if America wants to sit at home and freeze in the dark, so be it.
Wrong dumbass! Solar works just fine in 49 of the 50 states. The only state it doesn't work in is Alaska because they don't have any sunshine during the winter. Massachusetts is ranked 7th in solar installations. And tell me stupid, just where in the country doesn't the wind blow? It doesn't take gale force winds to produce electricity.
You can overcome energy storage problems by storing the sun's energy as heat which can be turned into electricity and home installations can get by on batteries charged during the day.
Unlike fossil fuel plants that produce pollutants and nuclear plants that have the potential of leaking radiation wind and solar generators don't have to be sited far from residential areas necessitating transmitting power over long distances. Solar panels can be put anywhere.

The biggest thing that could have avoided the tragedy is a responsible state government reinforcing the levees they knew could not withstand a hurricane 5 Katrina long before it happened and choosing to spend the money elsewhere.
You can't blame just anyone except those who are really to blame.
Sorry. But that's cowardly.
HEY STUPID! The levees were and still are the responsibility of the US Army Corps of Engineers, a federal agency. Funds were diverted from the planned and needed repairs to Iraq along with the bulk of the Louisiana National Guard and their high water vehicles which would have come in handy during a hurricane.

Eight state governors have stated that they will take advantage of the recent Supreme Court ruling, allowing them to opt out of Obamacare’s dramatic expansion of Medicaid.
Twenty-six states have chosen to let the federal government run the online insurance markets required next year by President Obama's healthcare law instead of taking on the job themselves or partnering with the feds.
The CBO estimates that in 2022--8 years after the Affordable Care Act has been fully implemented--30 million people will remain uninsured.
It's going to be a big mess.
Yes Carol, 26 red states are leaving thousands of their citizens without coverage for purely political reasons. That's the reason 30 million will remain uninsured. Use some logic for a change

The 9/11 Commission final report.
“The US government was utterly unprepared on Sept. 11, 2001, to protect the American people from al-Qaeda terrorists.” The report itself states,“We believe the 9/11 attacks revealed four kinds of failures: in imagination, policy, capabilities, and management.”
The report was much gentler on the Bush administration and rather than focus criticism on the Bush administration, the commission spread the blame broadly and evenly across two administrations, the FBI and Congress.”
Of course, liberals carefully select the facts they choose to believe.
And you're still ignoring the fact that George W. Bush was warned that these attacks were imminent while at his ranch in Crawford and responded by staying there another week instead of getting back to DC and do something that would possibly averted them. I mean after all there was still a lot of brush to be cleared.

IRS
Chapter 3. Disclosure of Official Information
Section 20. Personnel Records
11.3.20.15.7 (06-13-2008)
Access to Medical Records
1. Medical records are available to the individual to whom the record pertains under the provisions of the Privacy Act.
2. Congress, however, enacted Section 552a(f) of that Act, which allows agencies to establish special procedures for the disclosure of medical records.
3. These special procedures as outlined in 5 CFR 297.205 are to be used when medical records, including psychological evaluation records, contain information of which a prudent physician would hesitate to inform the individual.
http://www.irs.gov/irm/part11/irm_11-003-020-...
What "agencies" (#2) will establsh procedures for the disclosure of medical records?
---
At least on paper, the Affordable Care Act does not give the IRS access to an individual's medical records.
But we live in strange times.
If there's disregard for constitutional rights, either by the IRS or the Justice Department, it is not entirely far-fetched to surmise the government could someday go after your blood work or biopsy results.

Sounds like the IRS is in unchartered waters any way you look at it. And anything could happen.

Let's see now...
News release Friday before a long holiday weekend:
Eric Holder commits a felony and signs authority to bug journalists without any evidence of a crime of any type being investigated.
Let's read the 4th Amendment again:
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

What this means is: First, Eric Holder does not have the constitutional authority to issue a warrant; and Second, there was no "Oath of affirmation" made to any judge who has the constitutional authority to issue a warrant.

Here is evidence with Eric Holder's signature on paper of Eric Holder committing a felony.
What do you think is going to happen now? I'll predict the future: RINOs will perform their assigned function and obstruct any justice coming from Congress.

How about this opinion:
When the IRS admitted illegal targetting of conservative groups to gain political advantages, a felony was committed.
And...
The White House promoted the person who orchestrated this felony.
And...
The person who orchestrated this felony is now in charge of ObamaKare, and only an idiot would not expect the same felony being committed there. In short, health care will be denied to anyone not in the political ranks of sheep blindly supporting this criminal administration.

Memorial day and television shows...
I watched most of "Vietnam in HD" yesterday. It wasn't the first time I watched it. I did notice some "new" information that wasn't in the previous edit. And, I also noticed the same general propaganda lie being spewed, and the intentional distortion of conclusions created by a narrow focus on individuals obscuring the big picture.
Well, it was The History Channel. I've learned to not expect anything resembling actual recent history from them. But, I have learned a lot about bigfoot and aliens visiting Egyptians and Inca Indians from them.
Big events ignored in the program:
The entire history leading up to the US involvement in Vietnam.
The Gulf of Tonkin Resolution.(According to their "word", the world began with Johnson ordering combat units deployed to Vietnam.)
Completely ignoring the Tet Offensive of 1967. They documented the increase of US forces in South Vietnam throughout 1966, giving the audience the impression that this was necessary to combat the existing level of activity. They date-stamp the increase, the last number being referenced to December, 1966. The next reference they present was May, 1967.
What did The History Channel intentionally ignore?
The largest communist invasion of the war since the beginning at that time, the Tet Offensive of 1967.
The propaganda states the US was millitarily defeated in Vietnam. The Tet Offensive of 1967 is an inconvenient fact that cannot be included in a description of Vietnam to adjust a conclusion toward this. It takes credibility away from the "historian" when this inconvenient fact is acknowledged.
They continually referenced draftees going to Vietnam, when the fact is, more than 75 percent of all Americans serving in Vietnam were volunteers. An outright lie from The History Channel.
Their focus on one of the people they told their story through got my attention. It was a 19 year old First Leutenant in the Army.... hmmmmmmmmm.... How does a person earn a degree, complete OCS, complete specific infantry training, get orders to Vietnam, and be 19 years old? Obviously, there's a hell of a lot more to this story than is being told, or The History Channel is lying.
This is just a couple of lies I recognized coming from this program. There were many more.
Why would The History Channel lie? There must be a reason the population is being programmed with lies?
Anyone have a guess as to why a network like The History Channel would program the country with lies?
