13 Benghazis Happened Under President Bush and Fox News Said Nothing

WRONG STUPID! The protection of the President is not the function of the Marines but rather the Secret Service. The Marines are used on occasions such as when a foreign dignitary is being received for ceremonial duties and sometimes that means holding an umbrella to keep the President and his guest dry.
You're an idiot DB!

Scandal: The president's spokesman confuses a "controlled delivery" operation known as Wide Receiver
with the quite different Fast and Furious
and couldn't even remember the name of the Border Patrol agent killed by it.
During a contentious press conference where even the White House press corps seemed to have had enough with the administration's tap dancing about an operation that began on its watch and got two federal agents killed, ABC's Jake Tapper had to feed a stumbling Carney the name of the Border Patrol agent killed by it.
Dubbed "Operation Wide Receiver," the Bush-era operation was run out of Tucson between 2006 and 2007, ending before Bush left office and before Fast and Furious began under Obama in 2009. The differences between it and Fast and Furious are vast, starting with the fact that Wide Receiver produced no dead bodies.
Operation Wide Receiver used the common law enforcement tactic of "controlled delivery" in which the illegal sales of weapons were allowed to take place, the movements of the weapons were closely monitored and the end purchasers were then apprehended. It involved gun-tracing, not gun-walking.

So what massive increases in spending by Congress occurred that somehow escaped Bush's veto pen moron? There weren't any. We entered into a recession and unemployment went up and business activity went down meaning less revenue in the form of taxes. Meanwhile we were still paying for two wars and there was added expenditure in the form of unemployment compensation.
Your assertion that Democrats have increased the debt by 1000% is just a flat out lie with nothing to back it up.
Put your dunce cap on and sit in the corner.
You're an idiot DB!

A couple of comments from your article :)

Then again, the liberal dupes are the ones who close their eyes to the facts ...
1) Holder has said it was harassment.
2) So did the IRS Director
3) We're now up to 500 conservative groups having been victims.
4) The Inspector not only agrees, but said the IRS Director knew about the abuse in 2011, which means he lied to Congress. How much denial must one be in to ignore that???
Meanwhile (ROFLMAO) Obama's 501(c)4 was approve in January, before the inauguration.(His campaign committee, rather large, converted to a 501 to promote issues.)
Oooops, I forgot. It's a Democratic President so all the loyalists are required to repeat every talking point without question (or thought)

The Obama administration is, unfortunately, in this IRS debacle. The Secretary of the Treasury is a cabinet appt and who should be informed of potentially sensitive operations in agencies under his purview. Someone reports to someone who reports to someone. If a national office was set up in Cincinnati to analyze tax-exempt applications, then I would expect that reports were written.
I don't think it looks good when the President says he learns about what's going in his administration from the news. What does he have a cabinet for, after all? To keep watch and give him the heads up on these kinds of things.
I'm not in favor of this kind of story. Progressives expected this kind of harassment from Bush--which is why Obama was elected...joyfully. We would be better than that. I find it problematic that the President cannot express his views and values forcefully enough at the outset that his administration cannot make decisions based on that outlook.

You still didn't answer the questions now did you?
#909694 May 23, 2013
Well Carol, here's the preamble to the Constitution;
"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
Do you know what "promote the general welfare means"? It means that we don't let our citizens go hungry or homeless if we can help it. The safety net you keep referring to is under assault by the GOP. The Ryan budget was called immoral by the Conference of Catholic Bishops which is one of the most conservative groups in the country.
But keep on dodging the original questions Carol.

How about this? We satisfy ourselves that the IRS itself is irredeemably broken and needs to be immediately reformed in a very comprehensive manner. The IRS is obviously behaving in a criminal manner. Who cares whether they were initially hired by Republicans or Democrats. Fire everyone!
Does The Tax Exempt Obama Foundation Actually Have A Real Address?
While it is conceivable that a smaller organization might use a UPS address, what is more questionable is giving an address where they have never been, apparently.

More of DB's fantasies without a shred of evidence to back them up.
#909697 May 23, 2013
Really? What welfare programs exactly were enacted by the fore fathers who wrote those words in the Constitution? Please tell us what steps our government took before the 1930's to keep citizens from going hungry or homeless.
More liberal claptrap from the beggars in this country to lazy to earn their own.

By the way, Aphelion just exposed you lying. Did Obama/Clinton and the other Democrats teach you to lie?
You are a liar and an idiot.

Of those 5,000, a little over 4,000 were killed in Iraq.
I'll just skip over the party line propaganda bullshit "so he could award his friends and cronies billions in no bid government contracts" and get right to the point:
It's 9/12. You are the president. What do you do? Do you:
A) Surrender to the Arab terrorists? or
B) Do the usual Bill Clinton response and lob a few cruise missiles in their general direction? or
C) Do the exact same thing in the exact same place against the exact same enemy as the Soviets, and some-fucking-how you expect to achieve a different result? or
D) You do it differently to achieve a different result than the Soviets experienced?
If you can think of another option, please begin your response with a description of that option, and include some justification.

Gun dealer and writer Mike Detty was a central figure in Wide Receiver, who, in his capacity as confidential informant for ATF, sold 450 rifles and handguns to suspected traffickers. As Paul Barrett reported in Bloomberg Businessweek,“The vast majority of the guns were never recovered by U.S. authorities.” This means control was not maintained on all deliveries, and it is impossible to tell if any people have been killed, and if so, how many.
