It is still legal to protest.

Do you find it outrageous that the IRS demanded that an organization commit to not protesting-which is political free speech- in order to get their tax exempt status?

What's wrong Darrell, you too busy counting your loot from your profitable car alarm business empire to do your job in Congress?
Unlike many other politicians, Issa sold his business interests when elected to public office.

GOPís biggest obstacle on Benghazi/IRS/AP: Americansí attention spans
Put simply: Americansí lack of attention span remains a ó if not the ó major hurdle in the GOPís effort to turn these issues into ones that will help them win elections.
While the quantity and proximity of the controversies has made this week stunningly bad for the White House, each of them individually remain somewhat in-the-weeds to casual followers of politics.
A sex scandal is cut and dry, as is an economic downturn or a failed response to a natural disaster. But the editing of talking points and the security of an overseas mission? The IRS providing extra scrutiny to the tax-exempt status of nonprofit groups? The Justice Department looking at journalistsí phone records while investigating national security leaks? You canít even describe these controversies without using political/governmental gobbledygook.

Replacing the progressive income tax with a flat tax or fair tax would be fantastic for the economy.

The current tax code controls economic behavior in ways that retard economic growth, rewarding inefficient industries and penalizing growth.

The I R S was requesting that pro-choice and anti-choice groups applying for the tax exempt status comply with laws that placed reasonable limits on their rights to free speech and free association . So, no one at the I R S singled out only anti-choice groups .

BS...you guys will swallow any swill the Greedy Old Pricks throw your way. " As his (Issa) private wealth and public power have grown, so too has the overlap between his private and business lives, with at least some of the congressmanís government actions helping to make a rich man even richer and raising the potential for conflicts.

He has secured millions of dollars in Congressional earmarks for road work and public works projects that promise improved traffic and other benefits to the many commercial properties he owns here north of San Diego. In one case, more than $800,000 in earmarks he arranged will help widen a busy thoroughfare in front of a medical plaza he bought for $16.6 million..." (from a 2011 article)

"Social services" are largely fluff that should be cut.

Plenty of private shooting ranges and instructors.

Licensing boards are typically funded by licensing fees, not general revenue. In fact, licensing boards contribute excess fee income to the general fund.

The "roads and streets" stuff is BS, paid by gas tax revenue.
