Stay tuned for inflation. It's right around the corner.
Wait until the reality of Obamacare hits the fan. We're all going to get splattered by the crap when Pelosi hollers, "Surprise!" At least some of us are prepared with a big tarp. We'll still have to smell the stench.
If you think the government covering millions of people isn't going to cost the taxpayers "one thin dime", you're a bigger goony bird than I thought.
You're really much too stupid to post on subjects involving math Carol.

G-d Bless Andrew Breitbart.
The movie "Hating Breitbart" will be in theaters starting today. I have already seen it and it gives a great vision of the liberals and who exactly our enemies are. I was fortunate enough to spend time with Andrew. May he rest in peace.

<quoted text>So letís be clear here. As I understand it:
1) the press printed a story which revealed classified information and blew the cover of an intelligence asset
2) the government did not censor this story but has tried to determine where the press got the info
3) as part of that the government got a warrant to seize logs of calls
Where exactly is the problem? Are we really saying itís beyond the pale for the government to investigate the leaking of secrets to the press? It seems much more reasonable to say the AP is trying to make a scandal out of nothing because it deflects blame away from itself. Aprilvue, despite your hysterical hyperbole , no one's privacy rights were 'violated ' in this case ---certainly not press reporters source-reporter privileges(which is not a 'right' in the U S Constitution)--no contents of the e-mails were read. And a legal warrant was attained from a U S Court Judge too. So, tell me again how this Justice Department internal investigation of its own intelligence agencies jeopardized any Americans rights? What about the rights of the Intelligence agent threatened by his exposure? He or she is an American too.
EXCEPT, the reality is the mission was complete and what the WH was wanting was to announce it first and AP refused to play along and released it before Obama.

The poor need to have a reason to control government spending.
I don't disagree with that but the economy will be roaring so fast that there will be very few poor. Only the sick and injured will not be working and the slackers will still be slackers. Government spending will go down because the IRS will be gone and with a lot more people working and keeping their whole paycheck the government will spend a lot less on programs. Savings rates will increase because you don't spend it you don't pay a tax. You are keeping this great economic machine from cranking up because a few people will get a free ride.

Why aren't you concerned that Karl Rove hasn't been put in jail for tax fraud for claiming his American Crossroads organization was non-partisan and then spending millions on political attack ads?
The IRS SHOULD have been profiling these criminal groups.
Has this even been mentioned on FOX?
it was but it was the same night that MSNBC wrote about the years and years of tax evasion by Charlie Rangel and Nancy Pelosi's "cleaning of the swamp." coincidentally, this was being reported around the same time as the Geithner tax evasion story.

Yes, there certainly is - and was. I've been screaming the loudest for at least the past 3 decades that our health care system is a big friggin' joke.
The health care industry is raking everyone over the frikkin' coals by abusing health care insurance as a flow of money and a personal cash cow.
And no one should be denied basic health care needs in this country - especially this country.
Unfortunately, when logic and reason finally emerged to LOWER THE COSTS of health care by cost free and practical steps, the Democrats loaded up the Obamacare crap machine and it's going to start flinging everywhere as soon as they turn on the fan in January.
Got your tarp ready?
'cost free and practical steps,' Name one. You can't because as Milton Friedman said,'There are no free lunches' "What does it mean to say that the corporate executive has a 'social responsibility' in his capacity as businessman?" asked Friedman in his 1970 article."... ""The difficulty of exercising 'social responsibility' illustrates, of course, the great virtue of private competitive enterprise -- it forces people to be responsible for their own actions and makes it difficult for them to 'exploit' other people for either selfish or unselfish purposes. They can do good -- but only at their own expense.".. We know better now. For example, we understand that ignoring environmental and social issues can be bad for business. Companies that pollute their local communities risk poisoning their customers. Ignoring the state of the local school system risks depleting the pool of qualified workers. Abusing workers risks higher turnover and training costs, not to mention greater difficulty attracting the most qualified candidates.

It's never that simple, of course. In a globalized world, companies are free to exploit or pollute a local community, then move on to the next place. Unfettered markets and exploitation-friendly tax schemes reward companies for acting in their own interests in the name of economic growth and competitiveness. So, Friedman's philosophy still reigns supreme.

Friedman's philosophy is far from universally shared, even in the business community. In 1979, for example, Quaker Oats president Kenneth Mason, writing in Business Week, declared Friedman's profits-are-everything philosophy "a dreary and demeaning view of the role of business and business leaders in our society." Wrote Mason: "Making a profit is no more the purpose of a corporation than getting enough to eat is the purpose of life. Getting enough to eat is a requirement of life; life's purpose, one would hope, is somewhat broader and more challenging. Likewise with business and profit."

Mason went on:

"The moral imperative all of us share in this world is that of getting the best return we can on whatever assets we are privileged to employ. What American business leaders too often forget is that this means all the assets employed -- not just the financial assets but also the brains employed, the labor employed, the materials employed, and the land, air, and water employed."
