Too many people confuse politics with faith. They are as different as night and day.
You and I can agree on matters of faith even though we're on the opposite sides of the fence politically. There are those on my side of the fence and on your side who don't agree with either of us on matters of faith but share our views on politics.
Those on my side of the fence see government's purpose as overseeing and managing the affairs of government. Our purpose is to manage ourselves and look after each other.
Those on your side see government as being able to manage themselves and us.
Apparently, no one is going to cross over to the other side. But it IS a political fence. It doesn't separate believers on both sides.
Faith is overrated.

Republicans Altered Benghazi Emails, CBS News Report Claims

One day after The White House released 100 pages of Benghazi emails, a report has surfaced alleging that Republicans released a set with altered text.

CBS News reported Thursday that leaked versions sent out by the GOP last Friday had visible differences than Wednesday's official batch. Two correspondences that were singled out in the report came from National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes and State Department Spokeswoman Victoria Nuland.

The GOP version of Rhodes' comment, according to CBS News: "We must make sure that the talking points reflect all agency equities, including those of the State Department, and we don't want to undermine the FBI investigation."

The White House email: "We need to resolve this in a way that respects all of the relevant equities, particularly the investigation."

The GOP version of Nuland's comment, according to CBS News: The penultimate point is a paragraph talking about all the previous warnings provided by the Agency (CIA) about al-Qaeda's presence and activities of al-Qaeda."

The White House email: "The penultimate point could be abused by members to beat the State Department for not paying attention to Agency warnings."

The news parallels a Tuesday CNN report which initially introduced the contradiction between what was revealed in a White House Benghazi email version, versus what was reported in media outlets. On Monday, Mother Jones noted that the Republicans' interim report included the correct version of the emails, signaling that more malice and less incompetence may have been at play with the alleged alterations.

Your sources are a joke. They all point back to one article on one website and most just reported "it is being reported" and weren't actually reporting it. You obviously didn't read several of the sites you posted all the way through. The ones that were skeptical and the one that offered an explanation that if Stephens HAD turned down security, it was because he knew it was expected of him from the State Department.
Maybe you should read your own sources first before posting them.

This president and his entire administration remind me of teenagers who get into trouble, get caught, and then keep telling the same vague story over and over again even though the evidence is clear nothing adds up.

Most of us just know when teenagers are hiding something no matter how hard they try to make us believe they're innocent.

That's exactly what they remind me of. A bunch of teenagers who think they can outsmart everyone.

Some people are just pushovers and too gullible. The ones the teenagers laugh at behind their backs.

BUSTED!!! Republicans caught altering Benghazi e-mails

Republicans have been caught red-handed altering official e-mails sent in the immediate aftermath of the Benghazi attack. I'm not surprised that Republicans would pull such a stunt, after all, it was the Republicans who misled this country into the Iraq War!

Now, can we talk about the REAL Benghazi scandal...you know, the one about Republicans altering e-mails?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/05/16/1209...

i think the Republicans have been watching FOX a bit too much.

It's Official: Those Bogus Email Leaks Came From Republicans

It's not as if we didn't know this already, but today Major Garrett made it official: the leaks that misquoted the Benghazi emails came directly from Republicans.

So here's what happened. Republicans in Congress saw copies of these emails two months ago and did nothing with them. It was obvious that they showed little more than routine interagency haggling. Then, riding high after last week's Benghazi hearings, someone got the bright idea of leaking two isolated tidbits and mischaracterizing them in an effort to make the State Department look bad. Apparently they figured it was a twofer: they could stick a shiv into the belly of the White House and they could then badger them to release the entire email chain, knowing they never would.

But it was typical GOP overreach. To their surprise, the White House took Republicans up on their demand to make the entire email chain public, thus making it clear to the press that they had been burned. And now reporters are letting us all know who was behind it.

This has always been the Republican Party's biggest risk with this stuff: that they don't know when to quit. On Benghazi, when it became obvious that they didn't have a smoking gun, they got desperate and tried to invent one. On the IRS, their problem is that Democrats are as outraged as they are. This will force them to make ever more outrageous accusations in an effort to find some way to draw a contrast. And on the AP phone records, they have to continually dance around the fact that they basically approve of subpoenas like this.

A sane party would take a deep breath and decide to move on to other things. But the tea partiers have the scent of blood now, and it's driving them crazy. Thus the spectacle of Michele Bachmann suggesting today that it's time to start impeachment proceedings.

The GOP's adults can't keep their lunatic fringe on a leash, which means it's only a matter of time until they make fools of themselves on all three of the pseudoscandals that are cucurrently lighting up the airwaves. The Republicans have met the enemy, and it is them.

We may never know the complete story because of the smiling "Aw, Shucks", duplicitous evil sitting in the WH at this moment.
But I've caught opinionated bits and pieces across the web over the past weeks that, if true, should send shivers up the spine of every American - at least the ones who are awake.
The story goes like this: The Magic Negro wanted to supply arms in Libya to groups connected to Al Qaeda. Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood already had an established connection to the Oval Office and a new Libyan government should also become another Muslim Brotherhood, too. That earlier Apology Tour signaled the beginning of the Magic Negro's hidden intentions.
Stevens' business there was to work in the shadows to come up with an agreement of sorts with these Al Qaeda rag-tag groups. The Magic Negro was reaching out a hand to Allah, so to speak.
However, true to Arab tradition, treachery reigned supreme above any sort of diplomacy be it open or hidden. Al Qaeda decided that kidnapping an American Ambassador would be far more profitable than limited weapon supplies. Besides, Russia's Putin was involved here and playing the Magic Negro for a fool.
At the moment he found out that he had been had, the Boy Messiah quickly decided that Stevens and his security staff were expendable. F uck 'em. If Stevens were kidnapped and this whole debacle were exposed to the American people, that a 'Christian' President was playing footsie with and sucking up to Al Qaeda operatives along with the Muslim Brotherhood and looking forward to working with more Al Qaeda operatives in Syria, too, all Hell would break loose. The Magic Negro walked away from those poor souls in Benghazi like he'd walk away from a discarded candy wrapper.
Thus, the silly concoction of stories about an anti-Muslim video on the internet. There were probably hundreds of revisions made in concert with Hollywood scriptwriters and actors.
For what it's worth, there it is. Evil sits in the Oval Office.
Allah Akbar.
Thank you. Brilliant. I saw the video of the 'rebels' that Hillary and O'bama were supplying weapons to in Syria. They were executing Assad's soldiers. A chilling new Internet video shows a Syrian rebel leader summarily executing a line of kneeling soldiers loyal to the Assad regime with bullets to the backs of their heads.
The video, released Wednesday, comes on the heels of another one that appeared to show a rebel leader biting into the heart of a slain Assad loyalist. The barbaric videos are not likely to stop the O'bama helping rebels topple the regime of President Bashar al-Assad. I have been saying this from the start. O'bama is always on the wrong side and then he lies about it.

Well, that's what faith is. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

You aren't forcing you to believe anything you don't want to believe.

Also, if you were talking about those two overly zealus pro-life republicans the media brought out of obscurity during the last election as representing all republicans who are pro-life, that's a pretty big stretch.

I don't recall any republican bringing up the issue of abortion during the entire election.

Linking republicans who are pro-life with "fundamentalist Christians" is also a pretty big stretch.

I don't even recall any "fundamentalist Christians" bringing up the issue of abortion.

The liberals ALWAYS bring up the issue of abortion during elections. It's a predictable tactic. Even if you aren't pro-life, you shouldn't expect Republicans who are to remain completely silent. No Republican candidate has made it a focal part of their platform.
