Of course they did. Why would they target only those who were considered enemies of this administration?

Remember Obama urging a group of Hispanics to "punish our enemies"?

“And if Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, we’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us, if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder - and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”

Obama's entire presidency has been about punishing his perceived enemies - capitalism, republicans, the wealthy, the tea party, Fox, etc., etc.

He can be a very strict nanny to those who get out of line.

See? That's where you're confused.

A Commander-in-Chief does not lie about the deaths of those who serve under him to win an election.

A man on the street interviewer asked New Yorkers what they thought of the present scandals.
Only one of the approximately 12 interviewed had heard of Benghazi.
Two students at one of the more prestigious colleges in New York knew nothing about the IRS or Benghazi scandals and one couldn't even name the vice-president or the Secretary of State at the time of the Benghazi attack.
These people are representatives of the New York Democrats who voted for Obama.
Too bad for you that the young kids were raised in wholesome, conservative, republican families.

Republicans Succeed In Turning Americans Against The IRS
This week the Republican Party, and their PR division Fox News, pulled off a political miracle that no one could have predicted a week or two ago. By the sheer determination of their will and endless repetition, The GOP has managed to transform the legendary public affection for the Internal Revenue Service into deep animosity and distrust. Prior to these late-breaking events the IRS had a 40% approval rating (note: that was still better than congress at 9%)
How could this have happened? The foundation of good will that has long been the envy of every other government agency has cracked and now Americans are, for the first time, eying the IRS suspiciously and recoiling in disgust. From a political standpoint, all the effort that Republicans have been pouring into this affair has yielded them an unexpected victory. They must be so proud now that they have masterfully maneuvered public opinion away from the big government bureaucracy that was once such an object of adoration.
This remarkable achievement was engineered by relentless condemnation of a branch of the IRS whose purpose is to affirm that organizations seeking tax-exempt status are complying with the legal requirement to be doing social welfare work and not politics. That seems like an important function that protects taxpayers from having to pick up the tab for political operatives who try to evade their fiscal responsibilities. The problem occurred when some low-level employees sought to identify potential evaders by imposing stricter standards of scrutiny on presumably conservative groups associated with the Tea Party. What on earth might have caused anyone at the IRS to think the Tea Party could be conducting political activities?

There has never been a deep love for the IRS. In the Clinton years they were caught red-handed abusing their powers

The bumbling responses of "I don't know nothing" and one admin official today even using the "I am an idiot" defense has damaged their image as even being vaguely honest and/or competent.

Obama has moved to the lame duck category. The Press knows this. A few like Chuck Todd tries to hold on tenuously.

The Dems in congress knows how the misconduct of IRS hit them like a sack of bricks during the Clinton era. They are in no mood to be super defenders of any Obama official playing dumb or who smacks of dishonesty. With the exception, of course, of the rank partisans who can get away with it.

Actually, I'm pretty sure a Commander-in-Chief who lies about the deaths of those who serve under him to win an election is a sure fire way to lose "proper respect".

Umbrella of security? Tell that to the conservatives whose lives were ruined by the IRS due to the climate set by this president.

For one , the Obama Administration does not perceive the Tea Party as "enemy" . President Obama has said on more than one occasion that as President he is responsible for and cares for all Americans regardless of who they voted for(unlike Romney who thought that he didn't have to give a rat's ass for any American who would 'never vote for him anyway.)That's a big reason why Mitt 'no integrity' Romney lost in 2012. Second, the I.R.S. targeted the Tea Party groups who were the most likely suspects to violate U S tax laws since they're on record as believing that the income tax is illegal.

Rice does not take orders from the flunkies who prepared the talking points. Only Obama can tell her what to do.

You can't win the argument so you resort to lies? How NOT mature. What 'lives' were ruined? You don't like this President but you also never refused the Social Security check or TAX Rebate check sighed by this President Obama that arrived in your mail box . Don't be a hypocrite , it only weakens your argument more and makes you look even worse as a jerk.

Obama Breeds Rebellion Among the States
Alan ...
May 13, 2013

How out of touch is the President? He went to Mexico and blamed the violence arising from its drug cartels on America, saying "Most of the guns used here to commit violence came from America." He made no mention of the scandalous "Fast and Furious" scheme in which the ATF actually ran guns into Mexico, claiming they would track them. It took an executive order to throw a blanket of silence over it and a compliant media to ignore that scandal.

It is, however, Obamacare that poses the greatest threat to the nation, intruding on the patient-doctor relationship, robbing billions from Medicare to pay for it, requiring states to fund more Medicaid when many are strapped to meet other needs, and putting 16% of the nation's economy under federal control.

A total of twenty-seven states have filed suit against Obamacare. Two federal judges have upheld its individual mandate to purchase health insurance and two others have ruled that it is unconstitutional

If There Was Ever a Golden Opportunity
Frank Salvato
May 16, 2013

If, by the grace of God Almighty, conservatives can dispose of the egos and join in an effort to communicate, if establishment Republicans can lose their penchant for “know-it-all,”“my-way” inside-the-beltway arrogance to provide the national apparatus by which to communicate, and if the TEA Parties can enjoin cohesively with both of the aforementioned to move the message; to educate; to inform the no- and low-information voters, in a non-aggressive and non-inflammatory way – if conservatives of all stripes can craft and move a message that

defines the Progressive Movement for exactly who they are and exactly what their goal is for our country, then we have an opportunity to send their movement into a thousand years of darkness.

Imagine.[heavenly to THINK about]

So, Conservatives of all stripes, establishment Republicans and TEA Partiers, it’s the bottom of the ninth and the score is tied. We’re at bat, their pitcher is tired and they have exhausted their bullpen.

How about it?...

Of course he does. Anyone who questions his authority is an enemy.

If Obama is about anything, he's about control and a one-party system.

Oh, and bigger government is better government. That's a control mentality. Especially after destroying the enemy...opposition.
