In the latest shameful chapter of their war on workers, House Republicans passed the Orwellian-named “Working Families Flexibility Act,” which gives business owners the flexibility of not paying hourly workers a higher wage for overtime work.
This attempt to line the pockets of employers at the expense of workers is outrageous. When workers need to save money for health care, education, or other major life expenses, they often do it by putting in extra hours. Giving employers the opportunity to take away overtime pay could wreak havoc on our already struggling economy and minimize opportunities to enter the middle class. "The Iraqi dictator must not be permitted to threaten America and the world with horrible poisons and diseases and gases and atomic weapons."
-- George Bush, Oct. 7, 2002, in a speech in Cincinnati.

"The evidence indicates that Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear weapons program ... Iraq has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes and other equipment needed for gas centrifuges, which are used to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons." -- President Bush, Oct. 7, 2002, in Cincinnati.

"The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa." -- President Bush, Jan.28, 2003, in the State of the Union address.

"We believe [Saddam] has, in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons." -- Vice President Cheney on March 16, 2003 on "Meet the Press."

"[The CIA possesses] solid reporting of senior-level contacts between Iraq and al-Qaeda going back a decade." -- CIA Director George Tenet in a written statement released Oct. 7, 2002 and echoed in that evening's speech by President Bush.

"We've learned that Iraq has trained al-Qaeda members in bomb-making and poisons and deadly gases ... Alliance with terrorists could allow the Iraqi regime to attack America without leaving any fingerprints." -- President Bush, Oct. 7 .

"We have also discovered through intelligence that Iraq has a growing fleet of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to disperse chemical or biological weapons across broad areas. We are concerned that Iraq is exploring ways of using these UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles] for missions targeting the United States." -- President Bush, Oct. 7.

"We have seen intelligence over many months that they have chemical and biological weapons, and that they have dispersed them and that they're weaponized and that, in one case at least, the command and control arrangements have been established." -- President Bush, Feb. 8, 2003, in a national radio address.

"Our conservative estimate is that Iraq today has a stockpile of between 100 and 500 tons of chemical weapons agent. That is enough to fill 16,000 battlefield rockets." -- Secretary of State Colin Powell, Feb. 5 2003, in remarks to the UN Security Council.

"We know where [Iraq's WMD] are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south, and north somewhat." -- Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, March 30, 2003, in statements to the press.

"Yes, we found a biological laboratory in Iraq which the UN prohibited." -- President Bush in remarks in Poland, published internationally June 1, 2003.

Their would be a no party system & whoever elected would just be president, not the leader of the democratic or Republican parties respectively. Every president is judged by his/her policies which directly translates to their ideology. Obama is president because majority of the country is democrat, at least in ideology as of right now. The purpose of a democracy is so no 1 party rule can be applied. No dictatorship can be forced, which is why we have elections every 4yrs. If you don't agree, do the necessary to get your party elected in 4yrs! Long shot! Lol!

oh yeah, bin Laden was a friend of the U.S., that's why he attacked us in Somalia in the early 90's
or the bombing of two hotels in Yemen in Dec 92....
BTW Chechnya is in Russia, so unless you want to start WWIII, it is advisable to stay out of that conflict
BILL CLINTON: SHAMEFUL LEGACY

Many people in Bosnia and idiot liberals are grossly misinformed when it comes to the legacy of the former U.S. President Bill Clinton.

On May 30, 1992, the United States imposed an arms embargo on the former Yugoslavia, preventing the Bosnian government to obtain arms and defend themselves against the powerful Yugoslav Army masquerading as the Bosnian Serb Army in the early 1990s. The Congress, however, voted to lift the arms embargo and sent the President a bill. Mr Clinton vetoed that bill... The results of Mr Clinton's policies were devastating for Bosniak people. Just in Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, over 10,000 people were killed, including 1,500 children - by the Bosnian Serb Army who kept the defenseless city under the siege... In Zepa, Serb Gen Zdravko Tolimir (aka: Chemical Tolimir) proposed Bosniak Muslim women and children to be gassed with chemical weapons, while in Srebrenica 8,000 to 10,000 Bosniak Muslims were summarily killed, buried in mass graves, and then re-buried in secondary mass graves to hide the crime.

Obamacare economics assume that a large percentage of the young, healthy people who can afford insurance but choose not to purchase will buy the insurance instead of paying the penalty-tax.
But the penalty-tax is far lower than the cost of insurance and this is probably a bad assumption.
So insurance companies will be stuck with 30 million new moochers and very few additional paying customers.
Not to mention the enormous cost of the really sick with pre-existing conditions.
So, you're saying that you think that Obama isn't charging wealthy, young , healthy people enough ; their *fair share of paying for universal healthcare ought to be much higher. How much higher? Insurance companies solved the problem of having to insure 30 million more people by getting Republicans to put in the individual mandate in the Affordable Care Act .( Neat trick to get Republicans to go back on their Norquist no-tax pledge and help uninsured poor people with preexisting conditions( your moochers?)

The bill applies to full-time workers.

Who knows. Yemen and Pakistan were attacked numerous times. Why didn't the Bush administration do something to secure the compounds after the first attacks? Why didn't he provide additional security? Why didn't he provide additional security? Where was the inquest after the Karachi attacks? Who knows? No one ever launched a crusade against the Bush administration and the State Department in any of those cases.

The Supreme Court decision does not allow Obama to raise the penalty-tax to the point where it is a punitive penalty to change behavior instead of a tax. Read the full decision.
