CNN has now left the Obama steno pool:

Washington (CNN)-- An e-mail discussion about talking points the Obama administration used to describe the deadly attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, show the White House and State Department were more involved than they first said in the decision to remove an initial CIA assessment that a group with ties to al Qaeda was involved, according to CNN sources with knowledge of the e-mails.

After hearing, Republicans say there's more to story

Doomed ambassador:'We're under attack'

The talking points have become a political flashpoint in a long-running battle between the administration and Republicans, who say that officials knew the attack last September 11 was a planned terror operation while they were telling the public it was an act of violence that grew out of a demonstration over a video produced in the United States that insulted Islam.

John King: Benghazi investigation both legitimate and partisan

Paul on Libya: There may be more to this

Mother of Benghazi victim needs answers

Hicks on Libya: Saddest call of my life

That was the story that U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice told five days later when she made the rounds of all five Sunday morning television talk shows.

Obama administration officials have long said that Rice was using official talking points that were edited almost exclusively by the intelligence community.

Northwestern University continued to stumble over diversity issues this week as Mexican students voiced disagreement with a campuswide letter that advised students not to celebrate Cinco de Mayo by engaging in racially-offensive activities, such as eating tacos and drinking tequila.

‘I’m not good at math’: The IRS’ public relations disaster

Posted by Aaron Blake on May 10, 2013 at 2:18 pm

About a half-hour into a conference call with reporters Friday afternoon, senior Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner said something she will regret.

“I’m not good at math,” she confessed as she tried to summon a statistic.

IRS, call your office.

Lerner clarified that she is a lawyer and not an accountant (a fair defense) but the remark instantly blew up on Twitter — an IRS official being bad at math!?— and wound up punctuating what was a torturous response to the IRS’ admission that it inappropriately targeted tea party groups.

Paramedic in Texas plant blast charged with having 'destructive device;' unclear if related

Published May 10, 2013

Associated Press

WACO, Texas – A Texas paramedic who helped evacuate people on the night of the deadly fertilizer plant explosion in West has been arrested and charged with possessing a destructive device.

It's not clear whether the charges are related to the fire or the explosion at the West Fertilizer Co. last month that killed 14 people.

McLennan County Jail booking clerk Brandy Gann says paramedic Bryce Reed arrived at the jail at about 2:40 a.m. Friday and was released to federal agents before 8 a.m.

A fire erupted at the plant the night of April 17 and a massive explosion rocked the town of West about 20 minutes later.

Investigators have largely treated the incident as an industrial accident. But Texas law enforcement officials also launched a criminal investigation Friday.

America is Paying Attention

Cleveland (CNN)-- The first time most of America heard Amanda Berry's voice was on a frantic 911 call.

"I've been kidnapped, and I've been missing for 10 years," the 27-year-old woman said on the call, which was made on Monday.

"And I'm here. I'm free now."

A day later, Berry could be heard again. This time talking to relatives, she seemed positive, even upbeat -- telling her grandmother Fern Gentry that she's "fine" and that the 6-year-old girl also rescued Monday from a Cleveland home is indeed her own.

"I love you honey, thank God," her tearful grandmother said, in a call recorded by CNN affiliate WJHL. "... I've thought about you all this time. I never forgot about you."

It's official Ariel Castro: The Cleveland kidnapper is a registered Democrat. This answers the question, which side actually 'wants women barefoot, illiterate, and pregnant' and believe they have a higher IQ.

Obama preparing to throw Hillary under the bus???

In a statement to ABC, Carney notably insulates the West Wing and not the State Department by saying “the only edits made by anyone HERE AT THE WHITE HOUSE were stylistic and nonsubstantive.”

At some point, White House officials will need to consider whether they want to continue to lie for Obama and risk a perjury conviction.

Just like John Dean, Jay Carney would not last five minutes in prison. At least not as a male.

While all politicians shade and twist the truth, you UK readers should know that US Republicans tend to take things a wee bit further: basically they kill the truth, throw it in a dumpster, and hire an actor to take its place, as well as plant drugs and porno at the homes of anyone who might question matters.

A Hollywood model for dinner tonite, is that on your agenda? Red Lobster? When are you going to update us as to your being an All American baseball player for Wake in the 50's. Did you not post you were captain of that team. When will you regale us with your exploits as a hero in Nam? Your claim to fame, you did not poison anyone in your tour as a cook.
Glad you are back.

Iran-Contra Redux? Hardly, since the FoxNews 5 can't even make up their mind if Benghazi scandal was a hoax hatched from one of Roger Ailes head-births or just a common, dangerous risk that diplomats face all the time placed in unstable , violent regions of the globe. And we all know that the Fox 5 has a horrible record on telling the truth about anything.
