UAW members voted for UAW officers who robbed the pension funds.
They deserve nothing.
Taxpayer funds should not be used to save failed companies.
So, Bush W should have never bailed out failed company AIG and just let them steal American homeowners and tax payers property and money?

<quoted text> "Place the blame where it rightfully belongs if you dare to be honest, dizzy Lou. I've always been baffled by Republicans' steadfast demands to weaken the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in its cradle. Their chief tactic: repeatedly trying to block President Obama's choice of former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray - or anyone else - as its director unless Democrats agree to amend the Dodd-Frank provisions establishing it.
Yesterday, in a Senate Banking Committee exchange captured in this video (below), Sen. Elizabeth Warren took aim at that strange campaign, challenging various claims that the CFPB somehow has sinister powers beyond that of other financial regulators. It's five minutes of video worth watching. Warren, of course, is the former law professor who conceived the idea of a new consumer-protection agency and persuaded Obama to insist on its broad authority and independence.
Warren called Cordray "an open book," and questioned assertions made by the agency's foes, including the 43 Senate Republicans vowing yet again to block anyone from the post. Among their demands: that the single director be replaced by a commission, a form of governance typically more subject to political influence, and that the agency's funding be put under Congress' control - unlike that of other financial regulators.
"I think that the delay in getting him confirmed is bad for consumers, it's bad for small banks, it's bad for credit unions, it's bad for anyone trying to offer an honest product in an honest market," Warren said. "The American people deserve a Congress that worries less about helping big banks and more about helping regular people who have been cheated on mortgages, on credit cards, on student loans, on credit reports."
Obama, you may recall, bypassed the Senate after a similar filibuster in 2011. But with court challenges looming to his recess appointments, he's trying again now that the CFPB has a growing track record as a forceful but measured voice for consumer protection. Among its early achievements, www.ConsumerFinance.gov is now a place where individuals can go to register complaints against a credit-card issuer or a credit reporting agency and expect to get an actual response."Check this out: http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/consumer/E...
What is the purpose of this useless agency, which assumes that the consumer is too stupid to manage his own financial affairs and passes regulations that ultimately cost the consumer money?

What was kind of funny about it is her 2008 ad showed her so calm and collected as the future president being in complete control of any crisis in the middle of the night when the phone rings.
Then this very calm and controlled "President Hillary" suddenly becomes a clip of an extremely agitated and defensive former Secretary of State screaming in the wake of four dead Americans, "What difference, at this point, does it make??!!"
Quite a contrast. She probably wouldn't have answered the phone in the middle of the night either.

All government bailouts are wrong.

Why should US taxpayers bail out a foreign corporation?

It's about to come to a head one way or the other.
Boehner is demanding emails and all unclassified correspondance from the WH regarding Benghazi and its aftermath.
If you remember the events leading up to Watergate, it's very similar to the Nixon's tapes. His refusal to turn them over is what ultimately led to his resignation.
So far, the WH has refused to turn over this information. If there's nothing to hide, they will and we'll see where the story goes from there. If there is something to hide and the information isn't forthcoming, this story will go in a completely new direction.
Brush up on your Watergate history before you start making inane comparisons to the Benghazi hearings(which are not impeachment hearings ,but a fact-finding inquiry with the President 's complete cooperation.)(Transcripts of telephone conversations released show President Richard M. Nixon jokingly threatened to drop a nuclear bomb on Capitol Hill in March 1974 as Congress was moving to impeach him over the Watergate scandal.)Check this out: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics...

Watergate took two and one-half years to unfold.

Benghazi-gate may or may not take as long, but Obama's continued refusal to tell the truth is a mistake.

You're just sore because the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau levels the playing field and gives the little guy a fighting chance against the big banks and mortgage lenders and helps , individual consumers, small banks, credit unions, and ' anyone trying to offer an honest product in an honest market,' but maybe you like thieves and crooks better?

Technically correct, but the parties that were at risk in a failure of AIG were primarily foreign banks.

US taxpayers were actually bailing out Societe Generale and Deutsche Bank (along with Goldman Sachs).

Wait and see if Obama is willing to give up power and all other Democrats just step aside. That was the thought in 2008, and an unknown like Obama stepped in and mopped the floor with Hillary.

The Democrat nominee in 2016 will be an Obama surrogate.
