Of the approximately 30 Americans evacuated from Benini Intl airport in Benghazi at just past dawn on Sept 12 only 7 were state department employees (2 were deceased), the others were CIA personnel working under diplomatic cover.

A Libyan military force secured the area of the CIA annex and then escorted all the US personnel to the airport about 10 miles to the East.

Do we know who flew the group out of Libya? Or is that not important?

The Republicans’ Benghazi Obsession

Republicans have held numerous hearings and briefings on Benghazi and are threatening to hold even more. It is a level of interest they did not show during George W. Bush’s administration when there were 64 attacks on American diplomatic targets or in the years they spent cutting back diplomatic security budgets.

Maybe you should do your own homework for a change. You're a big boy now.
Look up the number of U.S. embassies attacked last year.
Begin with Egypt and work your way up to Benghazi.
In the meantime, don't play with jack hammers.
So you're going with change the subject eh?

Maybe we should ask Obama to tell us the truth.

By the way, where was Obama while the attack was occurring as he left Hillary and Panetta in charge?

Still not sure if it's such a good idea to have millions of 200-year-old people walking around.
What would they do with themselves?
Same thing they do now. Live life to the fullest. You have to get out of your mind, for the most part, of old people just sitting around in nursing homes. 180 will be like 40-50. As I told my oldest daughter the other day during a talk. I don't want to die. I want to live forever. My father was born in 1921. Can you imagine how the world has changed in his lifetime? My youngest daughter was born in 2002. Her life expectancy without all the new medicine is 126 years. That means if she lives an average life she will live to 2128. We live long in this family.

Time to go.

Who's changing the subject? You said Lincoln "got me good" or something to that effect with his linkless post about the number of attacks abroad during the Bush administration.

I posted the attacks abroad on embassies and where they occurred a few pages back in 2012 and 2013.

You might have to do some leg work...or finger work...to find it.

It's a preemptive measure (over reaction) to the Brits removing a half dozen or so low level employees from their Tripoli embassy.

Better to be safe than sorry eh?

The US forces consist of two "elite" quick strike units already based in Europe.

I'm going to guess that there are more than four of them.

The good news is that Bulldog Greg Hicks is no longer in Libya to fk things up!

“I’m curious, did you learn anything new today?” Fox News host Greta Van Susteren asked Issa in an interview after the hearing. After meandering around for a bit, Issa finally got to the hearing’s grand revelation — Benghazi was a terror attack:
ISSA: I think the American people learned today from these brave witnesses, these whistleblowers, that the facts as we were told before during and after the attack at Benghazi just simply aren’t what they really were. The acting ambassador after Ambassador Stevens was murdered, told us in great detail about what happened that day and what happened in the days to follow and why we should know that he knew and everyone else in the mission knew from the moment it happened, from the get-go, as he said, that this was a terrorist attack.
After days of hype about mindblowing new information. And, of course, President Obama called it an “act of terror” within a day of the attack. So, yeah, all that new information turned out to ba a big nothing. Your wanna-be scandal is a big flop!
Lordy, Obama showed up on so many talk shows and stood in front of the American people so many times and said directly to the victims' families at their funeral that it was a video, I've lost count.

He spoke to the UN blaming the video a week after Hillary and the State Department had already come clean.

But you're an exceptionally good little useful idiot to those who think of you as such. What would they do without you?

BTW, even a Democrat said at the last hearing more hearings are necessary to "get to the bottom of this".

Right now, we're so far from the bottom of things, we need scuba gear.

Go back and read your post dummy. You had no fkn clue and still cast doubt on the Bush era diplomatic attacks. Puke!

Here's what we've learned__it's happens frequently but it only goes political when it happens just before an election.

Will add that FOX has been lying, the oversight committee (R's) have been lying, two of the whistleblowers lied and you are lying with out a frikken clue about what you're lying about.

You are starting to sound like deadbeat writer.

Benghazi, Projection, And The Dark Obama Obsession
President Obama's most fevered critics have been waiting for a national "aha" moment since he was first inaugurated more than 50 months ago. Coming off an electoral landslide, Obama was instantly greeted by a mob-like movement on the far right that denounced him as a socialist and a communist. Excited conservatives quickly reached for Nazi rhetoric and imagery in an effort to convey the dark threat the Democrat posed to the country.
Amplified by Fox News and a well-funded right-wing media industry, the "grassroots" revolt was portrayed as a sweeping rebuke of Obama. But in truth, the raging critics occupied the loud fringes, a fact confirmed by Obama's easy re-election.
Still, professional detractors have held out hope that at some point Americans would come to see Obama as they see Obama; as a monster of historic proportions who's committed to stripping citizens of their liberties and getting them addicted to government dependencies, like a drug dealer.
This week's House Oversight Committee hearing into the Sept. 11 terror attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi was supposed to trigger that "aha" event. It was supposed to be The Day Americans Turned On Obama. Indeed, Obama wouldn't be able finish out his second term because the Benghazi revelations were going to be so damaging, Fox New's Mike Huckabee told his radio listeners. And Sean Hannity warned ominously that, "This is going to be a really defining, important week in the Obama presidency, and it's not going to be a good week."
But none of that happened at the hearing. Instead of being the kind of "explosive" Watergate-style hearing that Fox talkers prayed for, Wednesday's hearing sagged under the weight of stubborn facts, and didn't even reach the level of Whitewater hearings, which under Bill Clinton established the modern day mark for pointlessly partisan "scandal" hearings.
Not that it matters to the media players who produced the Benghazi hearings, though. Conservatives continue their Groundhog Day charade, reassuring themselves that the hearing was a hit and that scandal "bombshells" exploded on Capitol Hill.(They did not.)
The larger, common sense question that lingers though is, why? Why keep pounding a story so far into the ground that most news consumers can't even make sense of the convoluted allegations anymore?
http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/05/10/bengh...
That's kind of racist, don't you think?

COME ON PRESIDENT BARRY COME OUT COME OUT WHEREEVER YOU ARE According to published reports, Hillary Clinton, 65, will confirm her bisexuality in her upcoming memoirs.

Rumors have swirled for years that Mrs. Clinton was an aggressive top, but nothing was ever confirmed. This explains why the former secretary of state and the Obama administration have thrown their full support behind gay marriage.

Simon & Schuster announced in April that Mrs. Clinton’s memoir will be published in 2014 — right before she announces her decision to run for president.

“Hillary’s going to come clean for the votes. She’ll admit that she’s a bisexual and has had lesbian relationships,” a source told The National Enquirer.

Hillary and former President Bill Clinton were married in 1975.

They have one daughter, Chelsea Victoria, 33.

I guess the only question left to ask is — will President Obama come out of the closet before or after he leaves office?

Thanks to loyal reader Ernest O. for the tip.

ABC? Losing credibility? I made a funny.

Anyway, the propaganists are always the last ones to jump on major news stories only after Fox has been ridiculed for breaking them and reporting them for weeks.

They have to be prodded - like cows - before worrying about their credibility though. They listen to their boss in the WH as long as they can first.

Liberals are sick!!!

Northwestern University continued to stumble over diversity issues this week as Mexican students voiced disagreement with a campuswide letter that advised students not to celebrate Cinco de Mayo by engaging in racially-offensive activities, such as eating tacos and drinking tequila.
