A small number of investments made the most profits for Bain. Staples is one example.

The overall success and failure rate, however, was about even.

That's business. Win some, lose some and sometimes break even.

The bottom line is a lot of people have jobs because of investment firms like Bain Capital.

Maybe you just don't understand the business of investment firms.
Bain Capital invested in or acquired hundreds of companies including AMC Entertainment, Aspen Education Group, Brookstone, Burger King, Burlington Coat Factory, Clear Channel Communications, Domino's Pizza, DoubleClick, Dunkin' Donuts, D&M Holdings, Guitar Center, Hospital Corporation of America, Sealy, The Sports Authority, Staples, Toys "R" Us, Warner Music Group and The Weather Channel.
Most of the firm's profits were made from a small number of deals with the overall success and failure rate being about even.
Out of 68 deals Bain Capital made one year, the firm lost money or broke even on 33 of them.
Out of 77 deals, 17 went bankrupt or out of business; in 6 cases, the firm lost all its investment; and 10 were very successful and represent 70% of the total profits.
In other words, they invest their own money and either win or lose based on the success or failure of the company they invest in.
Sometimes they earn a profit even if a company isn't successful.
That's business.
You forgot to mention the ton of money Romney and Bain Capital made off their SteriCycle (medical waste company) after Romneycare that guaranteed paid abortions passed in Massachusetts .

A liberal website criticized Romney for saying in 1985 he wanted to "harvest companies".

A harvest strategy is the way an entrepreneur or investor intends to extract his money from a business after it has become successful.

Success breeds success.

Hard to believe this concept eludes so many liberals.

But milking people out of their hard-earned money to buy into global warming and becoming filthy rich by scamming them is okey-dokey.

So, should we put you in the anti-abortion column or in the Gosnell non-corporate ghetto abortion clinic column?

If you don't get it, explaining it you again is pointless.

But just one more time...the man covered up a terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9/11 resulting in the deaths of four Americans just to win a reelection.

He lied, and then he lied and then he lied some more for personal and political gain. A presidential betrayal of the highest order.

A former Federal prosecutor from the Southern District of Manhattan, Andrew McCarthy, and the lead prosecutor in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center called Obama's actions in the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi a "shocking dereliction of duty."

McCarthy said, "Dereliction of duty is an impeachable offense. But this is the most gross dereliction of duty under these circumstances from a commander in chief and his immediate subordinates that I ever remember seeing in my experience. And we haven't gotten an explanation if there were coherent reasons why no action was taken."

Impeach Obama.

Bill Clinton speaking about Romney on CNN: "I don't think that we ought to get into the position where we say 'This is bad work. This is good work'. The man who has been governor and had a sterling business career crosses the qualification threshold."

Democrat Cory Booker called the attacks on Romney's buisness career "nauseating".

Democrat Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick also refused to press the attacks against Bain.

It was refreshing even if only a few democrats spoke up and got out of lockstep.

Your flogging a dead horse, Fox were hoping the Boston bombers were a foreign force so they could campaign another invasion somewhere. Especially had they been Iranian, however when that fell flat on its face amidst a bunch of misinformation they jumped back on the Benghazi band wagon again. All you do every day is post Fox news talking points. Why not try and get an idea of your own.

One of the reasons I love being on topix is I learn so much.

Stericycle, a massive medical waste disposal service company, received a $75 million investment from Bain Capital in 1999 and soon became an industry leader. Today, it has more than 485,000 customers worldwide. Its clients include hospitals, blood banks, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. But it has also helped dispose of medical waste from Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics.

There is no data showing that either Romney or other officials at Bain knew of Stericycle's work with Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics before the investment.

Hospitals, blood banks and pharmaceutical manufacturers are probably very grateful Bain provided this service.

But thanks for giving more ammo to use against your arguments since apparently you will believe anything.

Fox follows current events as they unfold. The Boston bombers actually were working with a foreign force. The Benghazi fiasco and ensuing coverup has been an ongoing topic of discussion since September 11.

Only the propagandists want to keep it as quiet as possible. You might be tempted to remove your blinders otherwise.

Charles Ramsey needs to be recognized for his deed.
It's scary to think how often this is going on in neighborhoods all across America. So many women and children disappear in this country everyday....so many victims that are never seen alive again. At least these girls get a chance to live free again.

<quoted text>You are an extraordinary parade of bullshit. You in fact, make the Corporatist Barack Obama the most GMO-dedicated politician in America.
You don't attain that position through errors or oversights. Obama was, all along, a stealth operative on behalf of Monsanto, biotech, GMOs, and corporate control of the future of agriculture and loser democrats.
From your perspective, Michelle Obama's campaign for home gardens and clean nutritious food suddenly looks like a diversion, and George Miller a sellout. a cover story floated to obscure what her husband has actually been doing.
Nor does it seem coincidental that two of the Obama's biggest supporters, Bill Gates and George Soros, purchased 900,000 and 500,000 shares of Monsanto, respectively, in 2010.
The point is you idiot is that we are talking about a sitting president here, a president obama who presented himself, and was believed by many to be, an extraordinary departure from politics as usual.
Not only was that a wrong assessment, Obama was lying all along. He was, and he still is, Monsanto's man in Washington.
Sen. Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., took some early blame for the rider, including from the Center for Food Safety. "In this hidden backroom deal, Senator Mikulski turned her back on consumer, environmental, and farmer protection in favor of corporate welfare for GMO biotech companies such as Monsanto," CFS executive director Andrew Kimbrell said in a statement on March 20. "This abuse of power is not the kind of leadership the public has come to expect from Obama or (D)Senator Mikulski or the Democrat Majority in the Senate."
"Change You Can Believe In" was his campaign lie.

Remember "No Lobbyists in the White House"??

Really, stupid?

I get so tired of educating those who refuse to acknowledge the truth. For the last time, the Bush Tax cuts resulted in 54 straight months of economic growth. The recession occurred after Democrats gained control of Congress and began wildly borrowing and spending trillions of dollars and implementing their bone-headed and supremely irresponsible fiscal policy.

The economic numbers don't lie. Take a look for yourself:
http://forecast-chart.com/chart-gdp-rate.html

The economy grew every single quarter until Q4 of 2008. That's solid continual economic growth that directly resulted from the Bush Tax Cuts.

The economy didn't take a shit until a year and a half after Democrats took over Congress and their socialist policies were in place
