John Galt, "Financially secure people do not reach that status by overpaying for brand-name goods that they can buy cheaper at Walmart." No, they 'get that way' by believing that they are buying cheaper products from Walmart while in denial that Walmart dumps the higher costs of making 'cheaper' products on to the poorest countries in the world where the slave labor sweatshops are located . Poor countries that operate these sweatshops for Walmart and other companies that off-shore jobs pay the lion's share of the operating costs for Walmart while Walmart keeps the bulk of the profit .
A roll of Bounty towels is the exact same product whether purchased in a convenience store or at a cheaper price at Walmart.

Conversely, some of the highest priced department stores in the country sell products made in Asian sweatshops.

Your argument defies all logic.

Republicans back to whining about cancer care cuts that they caused, but can not pass anything to change it. Republicans rather not be 'inconvenienced' by flight delays caused by the sequester then help cancer patients from dying. "As one of the sequester's unintended consequences, we're getting a map of who and what congressional Republicans give a damn about. Business travelers? My word, yes. Congress moved right away to keep furloughs from causing flight delays. Cancer patients on Medicare? Ehhhh ... I mean, sort of. Republicans care enough to complain a lot, but not like they cared about flight delays." Check this out: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/05/03/1206...

NASA should stick to space exploration instead of wasting money on politics.

Hey genius, are there enough jobs to support the available work force in America? I'll answer that for you, No! Having a job is a privilege & a blessing, not a right. There's people who get up every morning, just like the working man, & hit the streets looking for work like that's there job. You think you're better than them because you got the job that thousands of other people applied for? You were just blessed to be the 1 hired. You peoples problems are deeper than morals. Something implanted deep in your psyche that forces you to think about the less fortunate in a negative manor. It'd be better to not think about them at all, than to look at them in a negative light. Just shows you ignorance. The only difference between you & the bum on the streets is you got hired, & they didn't asshole! That has nothing to do with being liberal or conservative!

There are obvious reasons why some people get hired and others do not.

Politics do matter; most employers prefer employees with a conservative work ethic rather than a liberal sense of entitlement.

Same product but "may" be packaged differently. There's a bit of trickery going on as many manufactures customize package sizes for their key retail accounts.

Ralston Purina Tidy Cats litter is packaged in a dozen different sized yet similar looking containers. Matter of fact Purina pet products are among the most widely ranging in price from one store to another.

WalMart doesn't always win the price battle particularly with the coupon crowd but they usually win the selection battle.

John Galt, "If Walmart paid significantly higher wages and benefits, the current workers would be replaced by more qualified people.

And the standard of living of the poor in the community would be reduced by dramatically higher prices. " Henry Ford would emphatically disagree with your wrongheaded meanness and disregard for your community. Henry Ford wrote,...' paying high wages was also smart business. When wages are low, uncertainty dogs the marketplace and growth is weak. But when pay is high and steady, Ford asserted, business is more secure because workers earn enough to become good customers.'

wrong. The difference between me and the bum on the street is that when life got hard I worked harder, I did not hold out my hand or blame anyone for my circumstance, iv gone from working some of the crapyist jobs there are to owning my own company, I have 18 people who work for me and everyone of them started with little skills and have earned their own way to a good income. We have 11 million people that came into this country illegaly and were able to find work don't tell me there is no work for those with any ambition to fnd it .

Libtards love to ignore and refute facts.

"Did it feel a lot colder Thursday morning than it’s supposed to be this time of year?

Your senses weren’t fooling you. In fact, it’s a sure bet you’ve never felt a chill in May so intense as you did on Thursday.

When the mercury dipped to 17 degrees at Colorado State University early Thursday, it was the second-lowest temperature ever recorded in Fort Collins during the month of May..."

John Galt ,"Politics do matter; most employers prefer employees with a conservative work ethic rather than a liberal sense of entitlement. " Another one of your stupid, thoughtless made up 'truism'--or in other words sheer bunk.'Earl S. Willis, a manager of employee benefits at General Electric, declared that “the employee who can plan his economic future with reasonable certainty is an employer’s most productive asset.”...[Henry Ford] was one of the first business leaders to articulate what economists call “the virtuous circle of growth”: well-paid workers generating consumer demand that in turn promotes business expansion and hiring. Other executives bought his logic, and just as important, strong unions fought for rising pay and good benefits in contracts like the 1950 “Treaty of Detroit” between General Motors and the United Auto Workers.

Riding the dynamics of the virtuous circle, America enjoyed its best period of sustained growth in the decades after World War II, from 1945 to 1973, even though income tax rates were far higher than today. It created not only unprecedented middle-class prosperity but also far greater economic equality than today.

The chief executives of the long, WWII postwar boom believed that business success and workers’ well-being ran in tandem.' Check this out: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/03/opinion/hen...

Waxman, "Libtards love to ignore and refute facts." Then today's Republicans must have become 'liptards' Tea Party Republicans: We don't need no stinking facts"! "The politics of paranoia can lead policymakers into some unfortunate directions. On everything from homeland security to education to guns, paranoid politicians invariably end up pushing some truly bizarre proposals for no good reason.

In the latest example, some far-right congressional Republicans have decided to wage a war on census data because they have paranoid ideas about "big government."

A group of Republicans are cooking up legislation that could give President Barack Obama an unintentional assist with disagreeable unemployment numbers -- by eliminating the key economic statistic altogether.

The bill, introduced last week by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.), would bar the U.S. Census Bureau from conducting nearly all surveys except for a decennial population count. Such a step that would end the government's ability to provide reliable estimates of the employment rate. Indeed, the government would not be able to produce any of the major economic indices that move markets every month, said multiple statistics experts, who were aghast at the proposal.

"They simply wouldn't exist. We won't have an unemployment rate," said Ken Prewitt, the former director of the U.S. Census who is now a professor of public affairs at Columbia University." Check this out: http://maddowblog.msnbc.com/_news/2013/05/02/...
