Barack Obama, our next President

Full story: Hampton Roads Daily Press

I see DumbDave is making a fool of himself again today. He calls someone a dummy and then in the next post tries to say "not everyone".

Unbelievably stupid. Only a Democrat could do that and think he is normal.

Our so called “constitutional scholar” President, probably didn’t read any of these quotes:

”Americans have the right and advantage of being armed - unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.”
James Madison

”The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that's good.”
George Washington

“Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples' liberty's teeth.”
George Washington

“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
Ben Franklin

Jimmy, you forgot this one:

"As a general principle, I believe that the Constitution confers an individual right to bear arms."

Barack Obama 4/6/2008

Or this on on 6/26/2008

"I have always believed that the Second Amendment protects the right of individuals to bear arms"

Barack Obama.

You see Jimmy, you really need to become better informed. You're embarrassing yourself.

The Associated Press

WASHINGTON —

Police have a suspect in mind as they investigate a letter mailed to Sen. Roger Wicker that tested positive for poisonous ricin, a Senate colleague said.

"The person that is a suspect writes a lot of letters to members," Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., said Tuesday as she emerged from a classified briefing.

How out of touch is today’s GOP?

....only 23 percent of Americans — that would be fewer than one in four — believe the Republican Party is “in touch with the concerns of most people in the United States today,” while 70 percent believe that it is “out of touch.” Among independents, those numbers are 23-70. Among moderates they’re 20-75.

By contrast, Americans say by 51-46 that Obama is in touch. Among moderates that’s 56-42 (he fares worse among independents, 44-53, though far better than Republicans).

TheMarxist wrote:
In my class of '83 the typical Columbia political science student vowed to destroy capitalism, bankrupt business owners, and vaporize what they called “the white power structure.” For the most part these were spoiled brat white students of privilege and power. They were children of wealth, given everything on a silver platter and all they felt was anger and guilt. Their goal was to destroy their own fathers. They talked about it all day long.
So let me tell you a story. Back in 1981 I was sitting in a political science class. The president at the time was Ronald Reagan, a man reviled by the left just as viciously as any Republican is today. Suddenly our lecture was interrupted by a door swinging open violently—whereupon a breathless fellow student raced into the room screaming,“The president has been shot! They’ve just assassinated President Reagan.”
Ronald Reagan was my hero. The news hit me like a ton of bricks. I instantly felt sick to my stomach, and tears flowed down my cheeks. But it was the response of the rest of the class that I will remember for the rest of my life. They cheered. They clapped, they yelled, they high-fived, and whooped in sheer unadulterated joy. My fellow classmates, the ones I was naively trying so hard to befriend despite their radical leftist views, were HAPPY that my hero President Ronald Reagan was dead (or so they thought). They were celebrating what they thought was the assassination of America’s president.
Incidentally, if Obama actually went to Columbia, he’d almost certainly have to have been in that class leading the cheers. Feel like you need a shower yet? Lest you think I’m exaggerating, British leftists just celebrated and cheered upon hearing of the death of Margaret Thatcher only days ago.
But wait, the most frightening and eye-opening is still to come. You see political science students at Columbia were taught a detailed plan designed by two former Columbia professors named Cloward & Piven to bring down “the system,” destroy capitalism, and turn America into a socialist state. We discussed it in class, wrote about it, and debated it outside class. It was our #1 topic for four years.
The plan was revolting, but brilliant. Cloward & Piven taught that America could only be destroyed from within. Only by overwhelming the system with debt, welfare, and entitlements could capitalism and the America economy be destroyed. So the plan was to make a majority of Americans dependent on welfare, food stamps, disability, unemployment, and entitlements of all kinds. Then, under the weight of the debt, the system would implode and the economy collapse, bankrupting business owners (i.e. conservative donors). Americans would be brought to their knees, begging for big government to save them. Voila – you’d have a new system- socialism

Mark Sanford Trespassed At Jenny Sanford's Home: Lawyer

CHARLESTON, S.C.— Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford must appear in court two days after running for a vacant congressional seat to answer a complaint that he trespassed at his ex-wife's home, according to court documents acquired by The Associated Press on Tuesday.

The complaint says Jenny Sanford confronted Sanford leaving her Sullivans Island home on Feb. 3 by a rear door, using his cell phone for a flashlight. Her attorney filed the complaint the next day and Jenny Sanford confirmed Tuesday the documents are authentic.

The couple's 2010 divorce settlement says neither may enter the other's home without permission. Mark Sanford lives about a 20-minute drive away in downtown Charleston.

Isn't he the same guy who was against same sex marriage until he realize he needed to support it to get re-elected. A president who changes opinions with the political winds is a danger to the republic.

Actually, a person who never changes their mind is a danger.

Presiden Obama thought that a civil union approach was a solution. When it did not, he changed his mind for the legalization of same sex marriage.

As for the election, a person in favor of sane sex marriage would still consider Obama a better option that Romney - who had a proven dislike for gays as shown in his prep school assault.

GOP fast tracks bill to fortify ObamaCare's high-risk pools

House Republicans are moving quickly on a new bill to strengthen ObamaCare's temporary insurance plan for people with pre-existing conditions.

The Helping Sick Americans Now Act (H.R. 1549) was introduced late Monday and is scheduled for a mark-up Wednesday in the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

The measure seeks to shore up the Pre-Existing Conditions Insurance Plan (PCIP), a struggling program designed to offer insurance to vulnerable patients while the Affordable Care Act is fully implemented.

The Obama administration announced earlier this year that it would suspend enrollment in the PCIP, citing cost concerns.

GOP lawmakers have since mounted a push to transfer money from the law's public and preventive health fund — disparaged as a "slush" fund by Republicans — to reopen the PCIP's enrollment.

Still hasn't been proved they weren't. There seemed to be a lot of cover-up there. It was, after all, during the Clinton years. Seemed to be a lot of covering up during those times.

You insist on didactic boxes; I insist they're circles, mimicking creation/destruction itself, like the circle/snake eating its own tail
You will know this before we're through -- even as you desperately deny it. Take me for instance, even little me is a perfect meataphor for the laughable "duality of "infinite compassion" vs. unfathomable hatred. They exist, if not happily in me, at least in some sort of twisted truce. There is no other way to look at it. You, here, are way to dumb to understand this on a consciousness level, but some of it will leak through into your roiled, fevered subconscious.
Look, to this day, idiots quote Shakespeare (for instance) comically out of context, yet something about it won't let you alone -- even if you don't know or care a whit about the ancient language, and ancient alchemical techniques he was forced to use, if he wanted to keep his head attached to his neck. Are you kidding! That man would sell out his mother to win an election! Oh that's right he did!!! He has no morals. Not sure if you caught it but last night's Lehrer Report featured a couple of the guys who prepared the report on BushCo's torture policies.

No wonder those cats are afraid to leave the country.
