I'm sorry I left last night, although there's likely nothing I could have said that would have made a lick of difference. I merely had a front-row seat at Death's gaudy dance. You are likely dealing with it (if you can call it that) in a more graceful way than "The Brother." I watched mute as he dragged my diaper-clad father -- who, heretofore, had managed to survive everything his Death-dealing culture could throw at him. But like you say, Death is like a remorseless, yet blind, dance partner. It slams you to a fro like a rag doll, dances you before the ones who love you as if everything you ever knew, ever learned, ever loved, were no more than than the cheap painted veil that shimmers over reality. And it is! Or is it? Ah, that mystery makes religion look like the cheap carnival sideshow it has always been -- the Great Lie (the one even more blunt and dumb than Death)-- the idiotic notion that another mortal may suffer and die in your stead, so that you might be obviated of the task of unraveling the Grand Mystery.
Yes, I do fear you, how right you are in that. I fear your towering, casual intellect (it's more than that, but what word is appropriate -- shamanistic? delver into the depths of the human psyche and soul? lover of beauty, and hater of those who would despoil it for a vault full of green paper? attendee to a dying mother you likely love and hate (How can we help it?) I watched as O's mind disappeared for the mere technicality of no blood getting to his brain. I heard him whisper "can't you help me out of this?" And I had to choke, "I don't have anything." Then there was the Great Doctor, with the imagination of a rabbit, marching him to the showers, screaming at him to quit trying to take off his diaper -- berating him for it -- and my father crooning "ooooooh, ooooooh ooooooh ..." Then, my father to me, after awakening from a fetal-positioned sleep -- "Where am I" Me: You're in Oregon, dad. Dad: Oh, noooooo ...
So yes, I fear and love you -- can barely stand to talk to you anymore, because I feel we're bound in some awful knot that cannot be unraveled. I can feel in your very words how close you are -- we both are -- to stark raving madness, and that somehow that is even more compelling than anything else -- including all the so-called great pleasures in life. O once said, when he was well into his 70's -- "I feel powerful now." What he meant, of course, was that he lived more and more a life of the mind as his body weakened." I replied, that of course he did -- he was a self-realized Shaman, one who had retrieved the Philosophical Stone from Ordure. But still ... still...
Please know that I love you, and that the love outweighs the fear. I know what is coming, again, and then, finally, there is no one left who knows you, who loves you. who frets at your pain as if it were their own. How to bear it? How many have borne it? How many poets have tried to contain it, skim it, dissect it? I am leaving in a few days -- standing at the back of the train looking out the window is a stark demonstration of time itself. The future is not in front of you; it is at your back (as is believed in at least one primitive culture). It is the past that recedes, smaller and smaller, into the distance, as the future, Death itself , creeps up upon you like a cat, like a wave. When you turn from the window, Death moves, spider-like behind you again. And so on, and so on ...
THIS IS TRULY BEAUTIFUL. GOTTA CLOSE MY EYES.

Actually, Ryan is saying that there would be no unwanted pregnancies.

Funny stuff coming from an anti-contraception religion & party.

If they were separate ideas, that comma would have been a period.
I took guns out of it to eliminate the frothing-at-the-mouth response it typically brings from a rabid right.
It doesn't have to be a period. The comma works just fine. They were very careful how they worded things. Some debates went on for days over the exact wording they were going to use. Their ideas were to be as far from a king and monarchy as possible. This being ,at the time, the notion that the PEOPLE (not a militia) have the right to overthrow the government when/if they decide it no longer represents their interest.

The comma ties the two together. A period would not.

I don't even think its a proper use of a comma. Where's one of those English majors?

Liberals pushing Gun Control Legislation is simply to achieve their long term Goal to confiscate all Weapons from Law Abiding Citizens!!
We have a Democrat from Austin ’ Mike Martinez’ admitted during a speech that the Obama administration’s long term gun control agenda is focused on banning firearms altogether!!

Mainstream Media Runs Propaganda Piece Promoting Geo-Engineering

April 12, 2013

After years of insisting that geo-engineering projects were “conspiracy theories”, the mainstream media is now promoting them as solutions to problems with the environment...

The Socialists (AKA Democrat Party) wants to follow the model of Europe, including gun control and socialism that had led to a lower standard of living and anemic prosperity.

It's like they have a death wish for the USA. They are entirely dishonest. Obama says he does not want to infringe on the second amendment. I believe him on this as much as I believed him when he claimed Benghazi was because of a video.

Democrats are scum and so is their president, Nobama.

Most educated people understand that the correct use of punctuation clarifies the meaning of a sentence.

It may not be. However the comma separates the two phrases. Separating people from the militia. But the people are the militia. One could even argue that it is everyone's constitutional responsibility to be armed.

Too bad you on the left can't get a concept other than class warfare, nor do you lefties demonstrate the ability to comprehend things or put things in proper context. Your punctuation doesn't add much considering you have no common sense.

The point is that the sentence is not clear. Those advocating for people to own nuclear weapons, tanks, RPGs & machine guns should not keep dragging out the Second Amendment as an absolute proof.
