Too bad most of the Founding Fathers didn't take your advise.

We've become too accustomed to walking on eggshells. The PC police now tell us what is good and what is bad, what we can and can't say, and we obediently follow orders.
The new no-no is sugary drinks.
Public service advertisements are much more effective in changing attitudes than being punished by the government.

You are correct, the owner may request ID, he is not required to but if a person is caught in the bar without ID by the authority the bar is subject to fines. Do I like the law? No.
No problem in importing a bottle of spirits, I go to Canada on a regular basis and often bring back a bottle or two, I declare it at the border. No problems. I know folks in southwestern Washington and cross the border to purchase spirits. Do not know of a case where there was a problem.

The bar is not subject to any discipline unless the patron is under the legal age.

Galt may have confused the one gallon state importation limit with Virginia, or perhaps Pennsylvania, where any liquor importation is illegal.

People don't care. They just wanted a black president. Period.
You're right, they have no one to blame but themselves when taxes skyrocket and the military becomes downsized, leaving us vulnerable to attacks.
They are actually happy that they have put this country in danger.
I thought George W's hunt for WOMDs in Iraq was utter horseshit and brought the ire of the Middle East to our door step so he was no prize either and helped to set-up a lot of the economic crap that we are suffering with now. But, Barack is by no means perfect. As a matter of fact, his rather loose stance with illegal immigration hints at treason. I guess it will all come out "in the wash", as an old-time religion snake tent preacher would say to me.

No. The problem with Akin and his kind are that they are so opposed to abortion under any circumstances that they are willing to claim that pregnancy does not result from "legitimate" rape. So they blame the victim for becoming pregnant.
The number of people opposed to abortion in the case of rape or incest is tiny, mostly religious idiots. Same in the case of a badly deformed or retarded child.
And those folks voted against Romney because of his religion.
Useless baggage.
He actually said he understood it to be rare. At least one physician agreed in my research but I didn't spend too much time looking into it.

Most pro-lifers believe rape to be one of the few exceptions. Just like Romney.

Patience and understanding.

Thanks, EasyEed. Galt mostly agrees.
However, cite for us the section of Washington law and/or regulations that requires all patrons purchasing liquor to produce identification. Galt submits that your observations are based on policies of the establishment, not on law. The law states that license holders MAY request identification, not SHALL request identification.
"John Galt"
They may request ID. Correct. But if they do not and the person is in the bar illegally they are subject to fines and possible license loss. Recently I met my daughter and her husband for a drink. My daughter was asked for her ID. She produced it. The server said they ID persons they do not know if they look younger than 40. My daughter was thrilled, she is 47.

"Illegally" means underage, not lacking identification.

Depends on the definition of "liberal", which is foreign to today's Socialist Democrat Party.

Liberals believe in individual rights versus the state. No true liberal would ever force Obamacare.
