Although I should have stated the possibility that Johnson was misled by CIA black ops of the type Prouty mentions.
In a best case scenario for you, Johnson is complicit with the CIA. But this doesn't help you seize the moral high ground.
Because in such a scenario, we simply have a rightwing Democrat working in unison with a rightwing government bureaucracy and in defiance of mainstream Democrat beliefs. Sorry, but this makes LBJ more in political alignment with the Ronald Reagans and GW Bushs of your side.
The key thing is that CIA conservatives were the prime movers of the Vietnam War. They were the first personnel to enter the country. They had operational control of all U.S. units in Vietnam for ten years until the big war opened up. And they were running black operations against the North to provoke a conflict.
CIA conservatives. Live with it.
"...doesn't help you seize the moral high ground."

Moral high ground? What in the hell are you talking about?

Please tell us about that movie playing inside of your head. It might help us understand your condition a little better.

So LBJ and JFK were duped by conservative moles inside of the CIA?

Do you also know the exact location of the Mothership behind the Moon? Are you in communication with it?

I didn't believe it when I watched the documentary about Lincoln on the History Channel so I researched it too.
The second source for the story that Lincoln slept with Derickson is Thomas Chamberlin, an officer of the regiment that guarded Lincoln. Chamberlin wrote in his 1895 book.
There is what might be called circumstantial evidence: that as a young man Lincoln allegedly lacked interest in eligible women, or that he allegedly began puberty at an unusually early age, which Tripp argues is correlated to homosexuality in adult men. On its own, this circumstantial evidence could never convince a skeptic, though it can perhaps add depth and texture to the discussion of the second category of evidence, which might be called the direct evidence: that Lincoln is known to have slept in the same bed with a number men, including the closest friend of his young adulthood, Joshua Speed. Lincoln's relationships with Speed and other men in Illinois with whom he shared a bed have long been known and incorporated into the literature. The episode of bed-sharing that has recently caught the public eye, however, and that even has given pause to esteemed Lincolnists like David Donald,[2] is the scene depicted in two sources that Lincoln, while president, slept with one of his bodyguards when Mary Lincoln was not at home.

He expressed the facts poorly, but has a point.
What was left out was Barry Goldwater's 1964 campaign speech against civil rights. Then on election night, something happened which had not been seen since before the Civil War. Five Southern states bolted from traditional Democrat ranks and ended up in the GOP electoral column.
The reason is obvious. Those states hated the Civil Rights Act and saw in Goldwater and the Republican Party a possible saviour. It was not an acccurate view, but it was their perception just the same.
The entire South did not swing into the Republican camp overnight. But by 1988, it was voting as a solid Republican block.
Now to be fair, the GOP did take on the Dixiecrats during the Civil Rights battles in Congress. But like it or not, the same Dixiecrats gradually became an integral part of the new GOP, injecting it with their attitudes.
The GOP of the 1980s and onward was not the same party of Eisenhower.
So this happened on Mars, right? How did you get there to witness it? Huh?

Look, floDUH, just this once I'll violate my ignore rule for you. This is the gist of Margaret Sanger's work and motivation: "Sanger's early years were spent in New York City. In 1914, prompted by suffering she witnessed due to frequent pregnancies and self-induced abortions, she started a monthly newsletter, The Woman Rebel. Sanger's activism was influenced by the conditions of her youth—her mother had 18 pregnancies in 22 years, and died at age 50 of tuberculosis and cervical cancer.

In 1916, Sanger opened the first birth control clinic in the United States, which led to her arrest for distributing information on contraception. Her subsequent trial and appeal generated enormous support for her cause. Sanger felt that in order for women to have a more equal footing in society and to lead healthier lives, they needed to be able to determine when to bear children. She also wanted to prevent back-alley abortions, which were dangerous and usually illegal at that time."

I realize you don't read well, think well, or have sex, but this Breitbartian attack on Margaret Sanger is just total crap, even for you.

I'll give you this caution from a right-wing source on the tempest in a teapot (yeah, the author says that false journalism such as this comes from liberals):f you want to see a classic example, take the new book The Intimate World of Abraham Lincoln. In it the late C.A. Tripp (a prominent sex researcher, and himself homosexual) claims that Lincoln was also gay — indeed, that the married father of four was really “predominantly homosexual” throughout his life.

As it happens, Tripp’s not the first to make this claim. A few academic types have toyed with it, and gay activists have been pushing it for quite a while now.(Playwright Larry Kramer, whose antics I’ve covered before, even claims he’s discovered secret gay sex diaries from Lincoln’s lover.) But Tripp’s supposed to be different; he’s supposed to have done his homework and thoroughly documented his case. And his book runs nearly 400 pages, so Tripp must have a serious argument to make, right?

Wrong, actually — according to none other than his former longtime collaborator on the book, who says he quit the project because Tripp was bent on perpetrating “a hoax and a fraud.”

Historian Philip Nobile worked with Tripp from 1995 to 2000, researching Lincoln’s personal life to see whether there might be any substance behind the homosexuality theory. Nobile tells his story at length in an article for The Weekly Standard. It makes for fascinating reading, vividly illustrating how someone like Tripp — for all his vaunted academic credentials — can still warp his vision to see only what he wants to see.

When you’ve got some time, it’s worth reading Nobile’s article to see just how thoroughly Tripp succumbed to that temptation.(Heads up: As you might expect with a topic of this nature, parts of it may make you feel just a bit — to use a technical term — grossed out.) But if you’ve only got a few minutes right now, let me present a few examples.

Tripp builds a big chunk of his argument on the notion that the tall, raw-boned Lincoln hit puberty early. Why does this matter? Because according to Tripp’s mentor, the famed and twisted sex researcher Alfred Kinsey, early puberty is often linked to early sex and to homosexuality.“Tripp felt his date-of-puberty argument was the most-important ‘smoking gun’ in the whole gay Lincoln arsenal,” Nobile wrote.“Not only did it lend a quasi-scientific luster to a largely speculative quest, it was his sole original contribution to the discussion of Lincoln's sexuality.”

Then there’s Tripp’s fixation on a brief (eight lines), humorous poem Lincoln wrote at age 20 about a man who marries another man. It’s mainly about the absurdity of same-sex coupling, doomed to (among other things) eternal barrenness. To Tripp, however, this somehow translated to slam-dunk proof:“Viewed through the prism of sex research,” he wrote in an early draft of his book,“the poem is an open and shut case, a virtual certification of Lincoln's own engagement in homosexuality.

When people deny God, they need to fill the void with some other type of compassion. Liberals fill the void with a self defined compassion that gives the illusion of real love. They, lacking any internal conviction of charity, urine an external agent, the government, as an artificial machine-like entity, to Olmert artificial actions of love. That is why they "pretend" to care about nature, the body, children, women, minority, etc. Their is a reaction to an internal emptiness they know, but they need to fill even if in an artificial manner.
Their ideas are feeling based even if the consequences are destructive and accomplish the opposite of what they want.
For example, they will rather feed a hungry man than teach him to fish. Feeding a hungry man gives them a quick satisfaction that they can brag about it to convince others and themselves of a compassion they really do not have.
Conservatives on the other have will postpone the instant gratification of feeding the hungry man and will involve on the tedious difficult and error prone task of teaching the man to fish.
Conservatives know the task of teaching a man to fish is full of potential setbacks, frustrations and lack of guarantees, but they also know the final result will be worth it even if it takes a long time to achieve. While in the process of teaching the hungry man is fed. Not to create dependency but to continue the task of learning so he or she can stand on its own.
That explains why Newt Gingrich offer to teach kids to work in school was rabidly resisted by the Liberals. Teaching a kid to work is not feeding a hungry man. However, feeding kids breakfast, lunch and dinner with other people's money does creates the appearance of caring so much for them that they are willing to steal money from working tax payer for it.
Teaching kids the habit of work, especially in school, is full of risks and "dangers". The danger that most of those learning the good habits of work might end up being black and that will be perceived as racism.
And "racism" breaks the Liberal fantasy that they are the only ones who care to feed the black hungry kids.
Excellent points all.

BTW, many have witnessed the disgusting behaviors of teachers in certain instances over the decades. In the past week, I've been reminded of it again.

Last night, a young grade school boy was sent home because he brought a cupcake to school with a plastic soldier on top. The teacher felt that it promoted guns to the other children.

The day before that, another grade school boy was sent home because he had creatively chewed his lunchtime sandwich into the shape of a gun.

Last Summer, a grade school girl was reprimanded by her teacher for writing about Jesus Christ in a class project writing about who you admire the most.

Academia is clearly bent on fitting their political/social agendas into the minds of young mush. They are creating a frightful future against the wishes of the parents.

Education needs to be local. Period. Keep the Boy Messiahs and Moochelles from poisoning young minds.

When Pelosi took office Jan. 4, 2007 the National Dept. was (8.6 trillion) at the close of business on Oct. 22, the Dept. stood at (13.67 trillion) an increase of approximately 5 trillion., the $3.22 trillion in new debt accumulated during the record-setting 111th Congress!! Cway you must be a know it all. In your second sentence you state the government sets standards for accounting practices. As a CPA I beg to differ. Accounting standards are set by the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Practices are produced by this independent board and in no way is a function of the government.

You know very little about things but think you know more than others. I would talk less and listen more.

WHO ARE THE PEOPLE(S) Margaret Sanger is refering to:
"genetically inferior", "genetically defective", "with undesirable traits", "aimless lives that cram this world", "human weeds clog up the path", "drain up the energy and the resources", "inferior RACES", "slum mothers", "morans, misfits and the maladjusted" "the defectives, delinquents, and dependents", "a policy of rigid sterilization" ???

LIBERAL Feminist: Margaret Sanger was a staunch advocate of EUGENICS. And a Racist! There are many other sites about Margaret Sanger, ALL stating these same things.

"The Negro Problem":

"But the question arises, to what extent Birth Control has had a EUGENICS effect upon The Negro Race" ~ Margaret Sanger
