The Daily Caller Is Sticking With Its Senator Menendez Prostitute Story
It ultimately doesn't matter whether The Daily Caller is right and Nexis de los Santos Santana isn't actually one of the two women who was featured in their November 1 story about Menendez. The woman says that she and a friend were paid to make up the claims about Menendez and give those stories to journalists, suggesting the scam is wider than just one person. But even if the friend isn't one of the women in the video, the story still calls into question the entire premise of their original charge against Menendez. If someone was paying Dominican prostitutes to make up stories about the Senator, then the credibility of anyone telling the same story has to now be in question. Especially because there seems to be no other proof (according to the FBI) that Menendez is guilty. The woman in the Post story may be lying now, but nothing in The Daily Caller's response proves that she is.
Oh, and one final strike against The Daily Caller. Carlson claimed in his tweet that no one from the Post called before they published their story. Post reporter Carol Leonnig writes in the middle of her piece, that "Daily Caller Editor Tucker Carlson did not reply to phone calls and e-mails requesting comment."
http://www.theatlanticwire.com/national/2013/...
Tucker shut down the comments on the story after peeps started posting stuff like that over at the Caller.
and yes, i was one of those peeps.
So, Menendez paid a prostitute to change her story.

What a surprise!

After all, she is a prostitute.

The Abstinence Gluttons
Over the past six years George W. Bush's faith-based Administration and a conservative Republican Congress transformed the small-time abstinence-only business into a billion-dollar industry. These dangerously ineffective sexual health enterprises flourish not because they spread "family values" but because of generous helpings of the same pork-heavy gumbo Bush & Co. brought to war-blighted Iraq and Katrina-hammered New Orleans--a mix of back-scratching cronyism, hefty partisan campaign donations, high-dollar lobbyists, a revolving door for political appointees and a lack of concern for results.

Barack Obama is a remarkably gifted politician. But his cardinal political error has been that at times he seems to lack the imagination to even conceptualize how truly nihilistic, irresponsible, partisan, and, yes, crazy his Republican opponents are. The last Democratic president saw the Republicans shut down the government, squander millions on partisan witch hunts—including taking 140 hours of sworn testimony investigating President Clinton’s Christmas-card list—and drag the country through an impeachment process. Despite that history—and despite that Obama may be dealing with Republicans who are even more ideological and self-destructive than in Clinton’s day—he still expressed a blind faith in their reasonableness. How quaint.
This faith in the reasonableness of others is quintessentially American. We are, after all, a nation born of the Enlightenment. John Locke, the intellectual godfather of the American Revolution, said,“Reason must be our last judge and guide in everything.” But John Locke was a 17th-century English philosopher, not a 21st-century Tea Party nihilist. Obama, sadly, is not dealing with Mr. Locke—nor with Mr. Spock—but rather with zealous partisans who would, it seems, gladly harm the country in order to hurt the president. Highly illogical, perhaps, but real.
Our president, however, is nothing if not smart. And so he has adapted. Instead of sitting with Boehner and Cantor and McConnell, seeking to appeal to the cool light of reason, which failed so miserably in previous budget showdowns, he is barnstorming the country, basking in the warm glow of popular approval. Whereas once he seemed to prefer the prophet Isaiah’s entreaty,“Come now, let us reason together,” now he seems to be channeling the prophet Ezekiel:“I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes.”
Fortunately for our nation, the president seems to have hit upon a strategy that works. Republicans are more divided and more extreme, while Democrats seem more united and more mainstream. By a 3–1 margin in the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, voters say the GOP prefers partisanship to national unity, while a slight plurality views Obama as putting unity before party.
It seems our supremely rational president has concluded that, rather than trying to reason with his irrational adversaries, it’s better to fight off the bad guys and defeat the forces of reaction.

now that's some propaganda that will ruffle some feathers.

No I think a moron wouldn't know that when a military force is deployed it will be met with resistance or that islamic jihadists would come from all over the continent, Like It Did. Don't you think the Generals might have given that some forethought? Or is that to much for you to comprehend? Ahhh duh,,,,,
Bush did whatever he had to for the security of the United States
But I'd guess you still think it was only for big oil profit right, haa haa.OMG You DO!!! HAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAHAAAA
Why do you worship obama? He has weakened the security of this country, lied, covered up, hidden his past and appointed islamic believing officials thruout the government. That is important because it is a religious war, not on our part but their's.
There's a problem for you to solve. It shouldn't be to hard to figure out.
So now we attacked Iraq to attract terrorists so we could fight them. I guess being in Afghanistan wasn't good enough?

As for Ruddy's abstinence-only policy, recent reports, including one contracted by Bush's HHS, show that after more than $1 billion has been poured into the enterprise, it simply doesn't work. Already nine states have opted out from federal funds for this faith-based boondoggle in favor of more comprehensive and effective programs of sex education for their youth.

"I can't think of another federal program where so much money was spent without any oversight and to such little effect," said James Wagoner, president of Advocates for Youth, a national organization that promotes comprehensive sexual health policies. "It wasn't that policy-makers didn't know that abstinence-only didn't work. In 2000 the Institute of Medicine issued a scathing report on these programs. But they went full steam ahead despite the warning. It's beyond naďve. It's immoral."

Absolutely. Same with charter schools, virtual schools; it's a way to scam the government out of huge amounts of money,. Jeb Bush is a champion at that; so is Rick Scott.
A man who scammed the government out of Medicare funds with his mental health clinics here in Fl just got 14 years in prison. If he got 14 years; Rick Scott should get life. But, nope! He became the Governor!!
Go ahead and leave out the fact that the guy who got 14 years is a convicted cocaine trafficer.

JOHN BOEHNER: There are smarter ways to cut spending than these automatic across the board.
DAVID GREGORY: But Mr. Speaker that's just not true. They've made it very clearly, as the president just did, that he has a plan that he's put forward that involves entitlement cuts, that involves spending cuts, that you've made a choice as have Republicans to leave tax loopholes in place. And you'd rather have those and live with all these arbitrary cuts...
JOHN BOEHNER: Well, David that's just nonsense. If he had a plan, why wouldn't Senate Democrats go ahead and pass it? The House has acted twice over the last ten months to replace the sequester. The president got his tax hikes on January the first. If we're going to get rid of loopholes, let's lower rates and make the tax code fair for all Americans.

Good question.
Carol is a lying POS.

You even lied about your above transcript.

Boehner said the white House had no plan (left off your quote.

This is what Gregory said was not true,.

You know, Carol, you lose the argument when you have to resort of this type of lying.
