Barack Obama, our next President

"The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep," Obama cautioned. Young and charismatic but with little experience on the national level, Obama smashed through racial barriers and easily defeated ... Full Story

Investor’s Business Daily:“California has been a virtual one-party state since the 1960s. Thanks to decades of anti-business policies promulgated by a series of left-leaning legislatures, its economy and finances are a mess and it's hemorrhaging jobs, businesses and productive entrepreneurs to other states.”

Contrary to your barkings, Governor Brown is very popular. The only obstacle in his path is his age, 74. But should he run in 2014, even Republicans will tell you he'll skate through the election effortlessly.
Jerry Brown convinced Californians to raise taxes on themselves, approving Proposition 30, supposedly to help the school kids. Brown is earmarking part of it for union pay hikes as payback for labor support in getting Prop. 30 passed.

California officials have been ramping up pay and benefit packages for public employees creating a level of enrichment that is almost hard to believe.

California public employees receive far more in pay and retirement compensation than those in other states. Public employees are walking away from the job at age 50 with initial six-figure payouts and pensions that could pay them millions over their lifetimes.

That's the problem in California. A "popular" Jerry Brown spooning with the unions.

President Johnson was a favorite

President Obama may do the same.
President Obama has an approval rating of 57%
Republican House approval is 7%
Johnson isn't remembered for much of anything but the Vietnam War and signing the CRA of 1964 after Republicans got it passed in Congress.

It's not about winning. Until you and your democrat friends figure that out, your side will always be part of the problem and not the solution.

Evidently you think the same people who were poor then are poor now. You think the poor live in the exact same conditions then as now.
Actually, what I really think is people who can't help themselves out of their own circumstances - be it drug addiction, lack of education or a victim in the vicious cycle of poverty, no amount of money can make them do what only they themselves can do to change their own circumstances.

Helping the poor is one thing. Providing a safety net is one thing.

But simply creating dependency on the backs of others is not helping anyone.

The economic face of California:

Disproportionate number of illegals. Decades of fiscal irresponsibility by a Democratic controlled legislature. State workers no longer working 40 hour weeks. Borrowing $1.7 million per hour. Credit rating plummeting to bottom of 50 states. Lenders rethinking lending any more money to the Golden State. Businesses moving to other states.

Sad but true. Is this the way we want the nation to go too? California is Democrat leadership at its finest. Or sleaziest. Whichever.

Costing us tax money & giving a break for foreign investment.

How about the investment income loophole.
Corporate foreign profits are taxed in the country in which they are earned, just as we tax foreign corporations for profits that they earn here. The problem is that US corporate tax rates are the highest in the world.

Name one specific oil subsidy not available to other businesses.

If you mean lower rates for dividends and capital gains, go ahead, raise the rates, and crash the stock market.

How about personal loopholes, such as home mortgage interest deduction (a subsidy to the real estate industry), state and local tax deductions (a subsidy to high tax states), or charitable deductions (a subsidy to religion)?

I can google Temecula John. It was a crossroads near a massive military installation that became a decent sized city through incorporation, Florida is full of PUD's although none are near the likes of a Camp Pendelton.
I don't really give a sht where you live__I don't like that you've been dishonest for over four years though.
Camp Pendleton is on the other side of the coastal range and there is no direct access from Temecula. The Temecula economy has very little relation to Camp Pendleton. Kind of like traveling from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon to the North Rim, but not as far.

Google can't tell you everything.
