Tax increases are not spending reductions.
Obama already forced huge tax increases in Obamacare and January 1 of this year.
Hooray for the sequester: finally some spending cuts.
Here's hoping you get furloughed.
No country in the history of the world ever cut its way to prosperity nitwit. In the 1950s Dwight Eisenhower had a national debt around 125% of GDP. He didn't deal with it by making drastic cuts to the contrary he and Congress embarked on massive public works projects like the Interstate Highway system and the St Lawrence Seaway that put people to work and made commerce more effective. He also by the way raised the minimum wage putting money into workers pockets that they spent in the private sector and stimulated the economy.
I don't work for the government moron so no I'm not going to get furloughed .

Right Whiners have no problem with where our country is headed as far as wealth distribution.

They have been duped by their own party into blaming the "47%" instead of the redistribution of wealth the past decades toward the wealthy.

But Obama will need a better case than "outing" a Washington party girl.
I love how the right whiners take a career dedicated to the security of this country & trash it in order to protect Cheney who was behind lies that killed 4000 US soldiers.

Most web searches for credit worthiness comparisons between ethnicities will give you mealy-mouthed ho-hum BS. You have to dig hard and don't even consider looking at the Fed pages. They will print ten paragraphs to explain racial credit rating differences and, after you've read them, your head will become blank. This is intentional.
Or, if you want your head to spin over more "racial sensitivity" BS, just read your own childish postings, ImaginaryDave.
You just keep defining racism - evidently something you condone.

December 16,1998 WASHINGTON (CNN)-- From the Oval Office, President Clinton told the nation Wednesday evening why he ordered new military strikes and bombings against Iraq and starts war with Iraq.

"Saddam (Hussein) must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with NUCLEAR ARMS, poison gas or biological weapons," Clinton said.

Our mission is to attack Iraq's NUCLEAR, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors," said Clinton.

How about personal loopholes, such as home mortgage interest deduction (a subsidy to the real estate industry), state and local tax deductions (a subsidy to high tax states), or charitable deductions (a subsidy to religion)?
So now we have to close all loopholes & subsidies???????

We can choose some that are ridiculous & unneeded?

Giving me a deduction for State taxes does not help the state. Dunmbass.

Corporate foreign profits are taxed in the country in which they are earned, just as we tax foreign corporations for profits that they earn here. The problem is that US corporate tax rates are the highest in the world.
Name one specific oil subsidy not available to other businesses.
If you mean lower rates for dividends and capital gains, go ahead, raise the rates, and crash the stock market.
1) US corporations owe US corporate taxes on the difference of rates between the US & that country. If the US rate is 35% & the foreign country rate is 25%, then 10% is owed in US taxes.

The loophole is corporations don't have to pay that tax until the money is brought back to the US.

This loophole costs us billions of dollars while encouraging overseas investment instead of investment here.

Why not close that loophole?

Right whiners say nooooooooooooooooooooooo,

2) Another oil, subsidy denier. Funny how Republicans in Congress know they are there because they keep fighting to keep them.

3) The Stock market did fine before the Bush tax cuts.

Actually, what I really think is people who can't help themselves out of their own circumstances - be it drug addiction, lack of education or a victim in the vicious cycle of poverty, no amount of money can make them do what only they themselves can do to change their own circumstances.
Helping the poor is one thing. Providing a safety net is one thing.
But simply creating dependency on the backs of others is not helping anyone.
So who gets to choose? Who decides which people can't get help.

The majority of those on welfare leave the system through employment.
