Barack Obama, our next President

"The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep," Obama cautioned. Young and charismatic but with little experience on the national level, Obama smashed through racial barriers and easily defeated ... Read more

But Obama will need a better case than "outing" a Washington party girl.
Your side impeached Clinton for lying about a fling with an intern, but let Bush and Cheney off the hook for lying us into an unnecessary war and outing a CIA agent.

Valerie Plame was a covert operative who managed agents overseas. She worked for Jenning Brewster and Associates as her cover. She was in charge of the CIA's Iraqi Task Force whose goal was to assess its weapons program.

Once again, tell us how "dependable" an ally Israel is.

John,

Let me give you an example of Israeli "dependability".

On 9-11, five Israelis set up video cameras in Liberty State Park, New Jersey, and filmed the attack on the Twin Towers as it began, according to residents who observed them.

The five Israelis were later arrested by the FBI.

Two were later identified as MOSSAD agents.

So these five knew the attack was coming as evidenced by their setting up cameras to record it, and two were Israeli spies.

So how come they didn't pass on the information to us?

That's dependable?

Traditionally, California has been a contributor to the federal transfer payments which go to poorer states.

What was the war-by-lies?

It was the one Bush and Cheney launched after it got Congressional approval on the basis of lies.

Disagree?

Then show me the WMDs, hon.

The ones Colin Powell proclaimed he knew the location of before the U.N. General Assembly.

After leaving as Secretary of State, Powell told ABC news he was lied to, and not by George Tenet.

You know as well as I that Bush and Cheney are guilty as sin. The lack of an indictment is hardly proof of their innocence.

Investors Daily? lol What an "authoritative" source.
Unfortunately, your source does not say "Democrats". It merely says the government pressured institutions to lend.
Not the same as a law on the books compelling banks to lend.
You would have us believe at a time when Republicans controlled the White House and Congress, they would fail to come to the assistance of the banking industry if it protested compulsory loan standards.
On that basis, your argument collapses.
OK. It is now noted that you can't handle high-end authoritative sources for lack of comprehension skills. You haven't graduated from Ebony, Essence and Rap Monthly yet.

Now, let's move on to your lies.

From Wiki - CRA: "To enforce the statute, federal regulatory agencies examine banking institutions for CRA compliance, and take this information into consideration when approving applications for new bank branches or for mergers or acquisitions."

Want to expand, merge or acquire? The Godfather in Washington makes you a deal you can't refuse.

You should be familiar with this sort of "enforcement" watching Jesse Sharpton baby extorting millions from innocent corporations they threatened to list as being "racist". Why don't you recognize the same exact behavior here? Wonders like your selective ignorance never cease to amaze me.

When Fed Reserve Bank Examiners tried to stop the dangerous practices brought on by the CRA, Barney Frankfurter and Dufus Dodd, they were told to shut up if they loved having a job. They shut up and let the economic collapse come on.

With all of the recent "reform" measures thrown against Wall St., the inside joke is that the regulators out there on the street are once again being "restrained" by their bosses - just like before.

I realize you are young and naive as hell but it bears repeating here that laws are only as good as their application and enforcement. The Boy Messiah does it routinely with illegal immigration, economics and Gun Running into Mexico. When you grow up, you might learn this.....n-n-n-a-a-a-h-h-h-h.. .probably not.

And, if all else fails to fit your nonsensical partisan reality, you can always do some Bush-Bashing. And when your gun becomes empty, you can always spit.

Your post above is irrelevant to mine which raised the issue of whether banks were compelled by FEDERAL law to make loans to unqualified buyers. Shining Electron failed to make the case for it.
You were saying something about Californians being flakey and unfocused?
Even when faced with facts opposing their views, posters like Carol & co continue to run around as foxbots posting the talking points of the day on issues that are long since dead & buried.

The only issue relevant to today is the baggage Obama has to keep carrying from a GFC they created. Ranting on about cutting the spending all the time but none of them can agree on where to cut.
Their answer as a cure all to everything is foodstamper's and welfare and let's not forget the holy grail of untouchables with the righties Taxation.

TREASON AGAINST USA wrote:
The Progressive Change Campaign Committee, a liberal third-party group, launched its second gun control advertisement aimed at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky on Monday.
The spot opens with Gary Nutt of Cub Run, Ky., holding a rifle and walking down a road.
“I am a Vietnam vet and a hunter,” he says.“I only shot my rifle one time this last season. One shot, one deer. But I’d be a pretty bad hunter if I needed an assault rifle to shoot that buck.”
Nutt goes on to say that he supports an assault weapons ban.“The NRA and the gun manufacturers have given a ton of money to Sen. Mitch McConnell,” Nutt says.“And now he’s blocking reform. Senator, whose side are you on?”
A Progressive Change Campaign Committee spokesman said the new spot was backed by at least $25,000 over a week on broadcast and cable television, including the Lexington, Louisville and Bowling Green markets.
It will also air on D.C.-area cable television. The size of the buy could increase with online fundraising.
McConnell’s campaign manager, Jesse Benton, said in a statement that the Senator is “committed to protecting the Constitutional Rights of every single Kentuckian”
“Far-left George Soros funded groups are dead-set on eroding our rights and have put a big target on his back, but they will not weaken Leader McConnell’s commitment to principle,” Benton added.

WELL THIS GUY GOT IS NAME RIGHT NUTT!
A NUTT WITHOUT A SHELL!
If this guy is a nut, then so are the majority of the American people and also Ronald Reagan who signed a letter to members of Congress in 1994 supporting an assault weapons ban. We should add Mitt Romney since he signed into law one of the toughest assault weapons bans as Governor of Massachusetts. At least this guy put his life on the line during wartime unlike the vast majority of Republicans in Congress.

No country in the history of the world ever cut its way to prosperity nitwit. In the 1950s Dwight Eisenhower had a national debt around 125% of GDP. He didn't deal with it by making drastic cuts to the contrary he and Congress embarked on massive public works projects like the Interstate Highway system and the St Lawrence Seaway that put people to work and made commerce more effective. He also by the way raised the minimum wage putting money into workers pockets that they spent in the private sector and stimulated the economy.

Right Whiners have no problem with where our country is headed as far as wealth distribution.

They have been duped by their own party into blaming the "47%" instead of the redistribution of wealth the past decades toward the wealthy.
