"The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep," Obama cautioned. Young and charismatic but with little experience on the national level, Obama smashed through racial barriers and easily defeated ... Full Story

Sooo, the 2012 elections never happened.
You know, when Romney and GOP senate candidates opposing Obamacare all lost?
Interestingly, every GOP Governor opposed to Obamacare that is up for re election has suddenly changed their tune and are implementing the Medicaid expansion in their states.
You are once again living in an alternate reality.
Obamacare passed in 2009. Not one Republican was on board and all polls showed 60% of Americans were against it.

The Democrats passed it all by their lonesome without anyone having read it.

Does that make sense to you? Passing a major piece of legislation without anyone having read it?

Tax reform would easily take care of loopholes.

But Democrats don't want to talk about tax reform. Why is that?

Freddie Mac recently began 25 initiatives around the country to dismantle barriers and create greater opportunities for homeownership. One of the programs is designed to help deserving families who have bad credit histories to qualify for homeownership loans.

Tax Reform Now GOP Excuse Not to Negotiate

And of course passage is not the point. Wall Street Journal editorial columnist Kimberly Strassel reports, with far more candor than Marcus coaxes from Ryan, that the Republican plan is to use tax reform as a message platform, not to pass a bill.

I often do some self-reflection as to my methods of argument here and honestly come away thinking that arguing with sincerity and in earnest with Ultra Left Wingnut Socialist Progressive Democrat Liberals is simply practice; like pitching in the Bullpen where you can't defeat any batters or win a game. It's just practice with the only consequence being my staying in shape for the next game. There is always a next game. Liberals wear Donkey blinders and become irritated with the Truth calling to them from the left or right side of the road. The Truth, to them, is an evil Siren call they must ignore at all costs.

Maybe 99% of their arguments go like this:

A Liberal thief stands in court before a judge for rape and bank robbery. The Prosecutor tells the court all about it and presents the rock-solid evidence. The Judge turns to the Entitlement Loser and asks what he has to say in his defense.

Out comes the Liberal spiel we've all heard for 50 years or more. "I was raised in the ghetto. My great grandparents were slaves. And, besides, other people do it, too. Those rich corporations figuratively rape the public daily and act like bank robbers when charging high Credit Card Interest rates to minorities and our government cheats people, too, and US Military personnel rape people all the time and,...and,...and..."

Judge: "It's OK, my son. I'm a Liberal Judge. Go....and sin no more." Liberal Judges just love having legal latitude in sentencing.

This scenario has played out across this country for 50-60 years now and the Ultra Left Wingnuts here have been raised inside this moral fog from infancy. They know no different and fear the thought of a better world than this phony one built on the absence of personal responsibility and paying your own way.

So, I might advise you to the futility of entertaining thoughts that you are changing a Liberal's mind. You will be constantly disappointed that the Donkey doesn't listen to reason but continues braying, pooping and lifting its back legs.

Created by the Obama and Congress in 2011, sequestration was meant to be painful. They thought that the threat of automatic cuts would force them to find a better alternative. It didnít.

Democrats insist on adding tax increases and leaving more spending untouched. Republicans want the same amount of spending cut, but would prefer it in different places.

Led by Obama, Democrats are betting that the American people will hate the reductions and demand tax increases instead.

The danger is that they might have overplayed their hand. First, some of the most extensive and popular federal programs, such as Social Security, wonít be trimmed. Second, the cuts will take effect slowly and might not be felt in time to affect the debate over extending government funding past March 27 or whether to raise the governmentís debt ceiling past May 19.

I still have hope of a silver lining after this last election. If only to stop all the nonsense.

no difference G.W. Bush and the Federal Government were still involved and encouraging people into houses they couldnt afford even helping those to qualify with a downpayment tells me they couldnt afford the houses to begin with if they couldnt come up with the down payment and needed the Federal Government to help them which that there is a Red Flag for me.

You misquoted this. It should read: "If someone suddenly came up with a cure for Stupidity and Arrogance, the question in Washington would be,'Is this good or bad for Obama?'"

Of course, a cure for those ailments could only be good for the Jerk-In-Chief. I wish him well in his downward journey.

Many people who can afford a mortagage equivalent to rent with good rental histories can't save enough for a downpayment. It's no comparison with the number of mortgage loans to unqualified buyers compliments of Fannie and Freddie.

Warnings by Bush and Bernacke of the impending crisis were ignored. There's no two ways about it.

What I find hard to swallow is when the government tries helping those people with bad credit histories get a mortgage. Why?

I work hard for a living like millions of other Americans. I pay my bills and act fiscally responsible. The result is that I have good credit.

Along comes a family that has a 50" flat-screen, a table full of Video games, laptops, closets of the latest clothes fashions and eat at Red Lobster and McDonald's 7 days a week. They can't and won't pay their bills. Their credit is shot or is so bad that they can only get consumer loans at 30% interest. Along comes the government and spends MY money to help these slobs get a mortgage they don't deserve, can't afford and even if they could afford it wouldn't make the payments.

The linguists of this New Age changes definitions overnight. This includes changing "She had a car accident while texting, applying lipstick, talking on her cellphone, fiddling with her MP3 player or fondling her boyfriend " is changed to a harmlessly neutral "Her car left the road", "she was involved in an accident" or "She lost control of her car".

Now those same New Age linguists change a "Bad Credit Risk" to a much softer and compassionate "A poor credit history" or "unfortunately, their credit history won't allow them to buy a house for their family...", blah, blah, blah...(puke, gag, vomit)

Personal responsibility has been politically obliterated by Socialist ploys and now we all need to not only feel sorry for financial losers, Mexican illegals, drug users and prostitutes but we also must pay for them and their actions from within the labors of our individual lives. Praise Lord Obama and the coming Age of Stupidity.
