A government refusing to enforce law is no government - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com

Would you give anyone for whom you voted power of attorney for yourself or your family? That means the elected person or even the ones that you voted for that didn't get elected would have the power to make life and death decisions for you and your loved ones, financial decisions, property decisions, even decisions over what you and your family would eat. Most wouldn't think of it, even though a true power of attorney requires the attorney-in-fact, ergo the representative, to act in the best interest of the donor. Why then would you allow elected politicians year after year to incur tens of thousands in debts on your behalf, refuse you equal protection by not enforcing laws, violate your privacy, and dictate your health care?

Have you given your consent, for example, for the government to lie to you about this sequestration? In anticipation of sequestration, some government entities charged with protecting your security refuse to enforce the law. The LA Times reports that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have released several hundred illegal aliens from deportation centers across the country saying they want to cut costs ahead of the sequestration budget cuts coming this week. The occupant of the Oval Office continuously has said security services will be cut if the sequestration is allowed to proceed--things like airport security. These are blackmail scare tactics based on lies.

Consider this:$85,000,000,000 is slated to be cut from the government budget. Now that is a budget with pre-programmed increases from the previous budget. In other words, there will be no cuts in current spending, only cuts in the budget request for future spending. On top of that, the government debt is 16,618,562,350,747 and rising about a million dollars every 20 seconds. Total unfunded liabilities are 8 times that amount. These scoundrels have incurred a national debt of $52,640 per person and an unfunded liability of $390,472 per person. That's what you and your children owe to the government. Do you really think that by cutting $85 billion out of the next year's budget will cause the sky to fall?

Most of us would never be able to pay back the debt incurred by our elected politicians. Even so, their oaths to uphold the law are long broken when the president refuses to enforce border security, and marriage laws, for example, and layers unconstitutional (translated: illegal) regulations, health care, nation building, killing of US citizens without due process, aiding enemies, and the list goes on. There is no opposition from either "party." This continues because We the People allow it. A government that refuses to enforce the law is no government at all. Unjust laws are no law at all. How can you tell? Read your Bible and your history. All Constitutional law is based on God's law. As Peter and the Apostles said in Acts 5:29, "We ought to obey God rather than men." 'Time to revoke that imaginary power of attorney.

For those who think 2016 is predictable, here is August 2005 polling for 2008 Dem nomination:

40% Hilary Clinton
19% John Kerry
14% John Edwards
6% Joe Biden
3% Wesley Clark

Guess who is missing?

53% want even more cuts than that of the sequester.
So how is it possible only 29% agree with republicans who have tried to pass several bills of cuts and reforms and 40% still agree with democrats who want to spend more?
Are people really this confused?
It's not Obama and Democrats who concern me the most. It's my fellow countrymen.
The bottom line and I think your numbers prove this: Republicans are aholes and people have a general disdain for aholes.

If I were Christie; I wouldn't go to that shytstorm kkk meeting if they paid me.
As movement conservatives start to sour on Christie, it might be instructive to recall what it was about him that many of them liked from 2009 through last year. For the most part, it wasn’t the content of his agenda, in which most of his admirers had little interest. It was Christie’s willingness to be combative and confrontational that won their admiration. When this was all that most movement conservatives knew about him, Christie’s future in the party seemed very bright, and his name was frequently listed along with such movement conservative heroes as Rubio and Ryan.

It was a bs poll just like all the others and you didn't learn about it on a NBC show but on a right leaning website or on FOX. It means nothing Carol__Obama is POTUS until 2017 and the Republicans are going to be lucky to survive 2014.

Avoid math Carol!

If this doesn't prove how confused half of the population is, nothing will.
Latest NBC/WSJ poll: 32% believe the country is headed in the right direction down 9 points since the election.
53% of Americans want the sequester cuts or even more cuts suggesting the public’s appetite for reducing spending.
And here’s the kicker.
Yet 29% agree “with most” of what Republicans in Congress have proposed versus 45% for Obama and 40% for congressional Democrats.
They can't have it both ways. The 51% can't want more cuts and still agree with Obama and Democrats.
Obama and Democrats have been telling the 51% that spending is not the problem.
Is it any wonder we're going in circles chasing our tails?
still clueless no matter what the name.

It is a standard talking point of Republicans and deficit hawks of all political stripes that federal spending is out of control; that major surgery is needed, especially on entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare, to get the budget on a sustainable course.

In fact, our long-term deficit situation is not nearly as severe as even many budget experts believe. The problem is that they are looking at recent history and near-term projections that are overly impacted by one-time factors related to the economic crisis and massive Republican tax cuts that lowered revenues far below normal.

Taking a longer-term view, such as that in a recent Treasury Department report, shows that our longer-term fiscal problem is in fact quite manageable.
