Barack Obama, our next President

"The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep," Obama cautioned. Young and charismatic but with little experience on the national level, Obama smashed through racial barriers and easily defeated ... Read more

2) Adolf Hilter came after guns! Hilter (just equating the name Hitler with something you do not like does not automatically win the argument) said “To conquer a nation, you must first disarm its citizens.” NO, he did not say this. Hitler loosened gun ownership laws for non Jewish Germans.
Hitler is not at issue here. Obama is nothing like Hitler and Obama has not presented one single idea that has not been done BEFORE in this country by Republicans and Democrats. Failure to comprehend this renders you automatically downgraded from the “Can handle a weapon” category that the Czar and Soros are going to impose on the nation one of these days.

Drudge Got His Hitler Gun-Control Idea from Forwarded Emails

With the dramatic photo choice above at left, the Drudge Report appeared to be referencing a popular forwarded email — which Republican congressional candidate Joe the Plumber plagiarized in a campaign ad in 2012 — that claims history proves a tyrant's first step is gun control. The email first began circulating after Australia passed sweeping gun legislation in the 1990s — the government actually bought back guns!— and has been floating around American websites for years.

But if Drudge's image choice was shocking, it's another example of the phenomenon of the very right wing talking to itself and no one else.

Fair or Foul: Is bill making gun control sponsors felons a joke? Nah. It's GOP reality.

This year, Mr. Leara and 61 of his colleagues sponsored another bill, House Bill 170, which would criminalize the enforcement of any new federal gun restrictions, be they passed by Congress or required under a presidential executive order. This bill would make criminals in Missouri of police officers, sheriff’s deputies, FBI agents and other law enforcement officials. The bill is taken seriously enough that it was scheduled for a hearing on Tuesday. Republican lawmakers are not treating it as a joke. To make a political point about how pro-gun and anti-President Barack Obama they are, they’re willing to sign their names to a bill that would put law enforcement officials in jail for doing their jobs.

Would applying that same logic to lawmakers really be that much of a stretch?

The National Rifle Association should send a letter to every Missouri lawmaker putting them on notice that every vote on House Bill 170 and House Bill 633 will be rated. That means that any vote against them would be a vote against the NRA and thus invite a primary challenge. So even though the bills are stupid and unconstitutional, Republicans would have to vote for them.

House Bill 633 isn’t a joke. It’s Ted Nugent being invited to the State of the Union speech. It’s Steven Seagal training armed vigilantes as school guards in Arizona. It’s the new Republican reality.

Where Crazy Conservative Memes Are Invented

Liberals talk a lot about Fox News and Rush Limbaugh and other conservative media that are on the mainstream radar. But liberals and mainstream journalists tend to forget that there is a fever swamp of crazed conspiracy theories and shockingly offensive rhetoric that exists in obscure right-wing websites and viral e-mail chains. As David Frum recently noted on his Daily Beast blog, it is impossible to understand the dog whistles you hear on Fox News if you aren’t familiar with the viral e-mail smears their audience believes in.

Plenty of good news for WalMart today after the right wing loons have been frothing at the mouth over a couple of anonymous emails.

18% increase in dividends__a 2.6% increase in profits after a somewhat sluggish start due to uncertainty about the payroll tax hike, fuel prices and that credit card bills from Christmas start showing up in February.
