We continue to use the polution standards that have remarkably cleaned up the air and water in the country while allowing a competitive industry to prosper.
Thus, I continue to pursue my happiness every weekend by driving my gas-powered motorcycles, SUVs, bass boats, ATVs, RVs, etc., etc., etc as long as it is economically feasible.
When it is no longer economically feasible, the free market industry will develop other technologies that enable us to continue to pursue our happiness.
Now, what's wrtong with that?
