Yeah they employ lots of foreign labor. Most everything That used to be made here like switches, gears, motors about every part on a car. Not any more.
5 years ago, the Gov't could have stepped in with the taxpayers money bailed out G.M. under the condition that a percentage of outsourcing be brought back here, Employing out of work Americans within a certain time period or No Bailout. That would sure look good today.
That's what a Good President would have done, to do what's best For The Country. Instead dumbass let's that walk away and changing nothing,,, except now the outsourced foreign labor won't suffer any cutbacks or layoffs. With the millions of GM Common Stock Shareholders whose stock went to Zero can take comfort knowing how he saved the Auto Industry and it's record profits....
You people are dumasses! The man did exactly what you just said & saved over 1 million jobs thus saving the auto industry. But nah, that aint enough tho! Ya'll want the man to save the world. Assholes amongst your liken probably voted against him thus allowing companies to continue to receive tax breaks for shipping jobs overseas in support of sweat shops (foreign slavery). Meanwhile ya'll supported bush's attempt at a bailout that literally was a waste of tax payers money. Listening to your logic is like the blind leading the blind which is why the last 2 republicans to run for office were demolished!

Bullshit! Those entitlement programs are in jeopardy because the rich raped the current tax system & found ways to escape from paying into the programs. The rich don't pay into medicare, medicaid, & SS. Thats where the problem lies. This country is in debt because the rich continue to take alot & give very littler back in terms of taxes. You don't need a palm reader to see that!

If you raise the minimum wage to $9, then how much should you pay those already making $9?
That would depend on the individual employer dipstick. Some might simply keep paying their employees at that rate but the more savvy will raise the rate proportionally to retain their workforce.
At any rate raising the minimum wage has proved to be beneficial to small business. States with higher minimum wages have had better small business activity than those with lower rates.

I proved my point. No aquifer is required for a geothermal system to function just fine!! Proven by millions of installations worldwide!!
You railed at Old Raider, claiming the only way to dissipate the heat was to reach water, as in an aquifer.
You were wrong, as usual.
To redeem yourself, you need to apologize to both Raider and myself.
I'm waiting, oh ignorant one!!
----------
""3. How is heat transferred between the earth and the home or building?
The earth has the ability to absorb and store heat energy. To use that stored energy, heat is extracted from the earth through a liquid medium (groundwater or an anti-freeze solution) and is pumped to the heat pump or heat exchanger. There, the heat is used to heat the air. In summer, the process is reversed and indoor heat is extracted from indoors and transferred to the earth through the liquid.
4. Does it do both heating and cooling?
One of the things that makes a heat pump so versatile is its ability to be a heating and cooling system in one. You can change from one mode to another with a simple flick of a switch on your indoor thermostat. In the cooling mode, a geothermal heat pump takes heat from indoors and transfers it to the cooler earth through either groundwater or an underground loop system.
5. Do I need separate ground loops for heating and cooling?
No. The same loop works for both. All that happens when changing from heating to cooling, or vice versa, is that the flow of heat is reversed.""

Proving, once again, that your lies concerning being a geologist are just that, LIES.
Thanks for playing!!

Like you really understand what you posted.

I'll put it to you simply:

Geothermal heating is a piece of cake. Just drill a hole to the temperature you desire, and circulate water through it and throughout the building.

Geothermal cooling is very difficult. Why? Because the heat you transfer from a building to the ground has to be transported away from the location of the building, or it just rises back into the building.

Any questions?

How about this one:
How is the heat transported away from the location of the building after it has been transferred from the building to the Earth immediately below the building?

... your turn, dufus.
