FreedomWorks Made Video of Fake Giant Panda Having Sex With Fake Hillary Clinton
The investigation at the influential tea party group could get weird.
An internal investigation of FreedomWorks—the prominent conservative advocacy group and super-PAC—has focused on president Matt Kibbe's management of the organization, his use of its resources, and a controversial book deal he signed, according to former FreedomWorks officials who have met with the private lawyers conducting the probe. One potential topic for the inquiry is a promotional video produced last year under the supervision of Adam Brandon, executive vice president of the group and a Kibbe loyalist. The video included a scene in which a female intern wearing a panda suit simulates performing oral sex on Hillary Clinton.[Author's note: The previous sentence contains no typos.]
....The ongoing internal investigation, one former staffer notes, could end badly for FreedomWorks, which for years has been a powerhouse organization of the right. "I think the whole thing will implode," this person says, "and it will be destroyed out of mismanagement and hubris."

Why Republicans Can No Longer Be Trusted on National Security
Because their leaders have become shallow, ignorant, and totally unserious on the issue that matters most.
....Not to sound like a Golden Age nostalgic, but there once was a time when the members of the Senate Armed Services Committee prided themselves on having an understanding of military matters. They disagreed in their conclusions and sometimes their premises. But most of them worked to educate themselves, at least to the point where they could debate the issues, or ask questions of a general without coming off like complete idiots. The sad thing about this new crop of senators—especially on the Republican side—is they don’t even try to learn anything; they don’t care if they look like complete idiots, in part because their core constituents don’t care if they do either.

TPM Reader PT asks whether Rubio or Republicans at large are able to propose anything more than abstractions.

I don’t think that any of the commentary on the SOTU and its response has quite grasped the point which came home to me sometime this morning: that because of its ideology, the Republican Party is reduced to arguing against the Democratic Party policies, and for its own, entirely on the basis of abstractions.

funny thing is...who keeps buying into those abstractions?

How do you feel about the Unconstitutionality of the state of West Virginia?
Article 4 Section 3
New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new States shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.
Given that the state of Virginia voted to leave the Union, the half that didn't leave the union was the recognized state in the government of the United States. The government of the United States didn't recognize the state government of the half that left the union, justifiably so.
So, that half that remained in the union was the legitimate representation of the state of Virginia that could petition the government in accordance with the Constitution be become a separate state.
Unless you consider the half of Virginia that left the union was still the legitimate representation within the federal republic.
If you consider the government of the half of Virginia that left the union as the legitimate representation in the federal republic, then the creation of the state of West Virginia was unconstitutional.
If you consider the half of Virginia that didn't leave the federal republic and the legitimate representation in the federal republic, then the requirements of the Constitution were satisfied.

Why should employers be forced to pay more for the same worthless employee?
This is just another Marxist idea from the Democrats to spread the wealth around to people who do nothing to earn it.
how about we get rid of the minimum wage entirely? That would motivate people to become worth something in the economy.
A person is paid according to their worth. If you want to be paid more, make the choices that will increase your worth.
Alternatively, you can choose to be poor. The choice is yours. The money is out there for you if you just make the choices to earn it.
How much are you worth since I am subsidizing your salary? Maybe you didn't get educated enough to get a job where you can make it on your own???

I love it. you right whiners keep telling us that businesses can't make it if they have to pay more than the minimum wage and then bitch because those working minimum wage sill qualify for government programs like food stamps.

You make sense!!! I like that!!!

See? Liberalism always implodes!!!

The one who pays the minimum wage workers, the one who OWNS the business, is the REPUBLICAN!!!

See? Conservatives know how to create jobs while the Liberals remain clueless asking for more money!!!

See? When a Republican like Dave Thomas, was earning minimum wages instead of bitching and complaining as ALL (I mean every single one) Liberals do, he opened his OWN restaurant!!!

He did not group into a union, he did not demanded higher pay, more vacations and more benefits. He did not asked the government to step in. He did not call the press or formed a picked line!!!

He just opened his OWN restaurant!!!

One intern wore a Hillary Clinton mask. The other wore a giant panda suit that FreedomWorks had used at protests to denounce progressives as panderers.(See here, here, and here.) Placing the panda in the video, a former FreedomWorks staffer says, was "an inside joke."

though 'panderers' will now be found in the Urban Dictionary.

Virginia was never recognized by the U.S. government as having 'left' the union. Seems to me we fought a war to preserve the union and all the states therein. So there goes that argument.
