No, they remember their history of being exterminated by rightwing white supremacists. They remember the signs "no Jews allowed", they remember not being able to rent apartments, buy houses, join country clubs, because of antisemitic racist rightwing zealots. Like you.

Karl Rove, Conservatives And The Battle For The GOP’s Soul

The escalating battle comes amid a dramatic post-election shift among congressional Republicans away from ultraconservative orthodoxy. House GOP leaders have sidelined some of their most far-right members from key committees and are moving away from using the threat of crisis as a bargaining chip to achieve their ideological goals. They’re even entertaining the prospect of stricter background checks for gun purchases and supporting normalizing the status of illegal immigrants — both unthinkable just months ago.

Pitney said Republicans tend to agree in principle on nominating the most conservative candidate who can win, but purists believe that those who favor more moderate GOP candidates “underestimate the electability of strong conservatives.”

“The GOP’s current problem is that some conservative activists support the most conservative candidate even when that candidate is badly flawed,” he said,“as with Sharron Angle in 2010 and Todd Akin in 2012.”

Here come the judges
Posted: 10:50 PM, February 7, 2013
We cannot for the life of us understand why two federal judges are so bent on crippling two New York agencies universally seen as at the top of their professions — the Police and Fire departments.
The first is Manhattan federal Judge Shira Scheindlin. She’s overseeing three separate stop-and-frisk lawsuits in which she is signaling her desire to deprive the NYPD of a tactic that’s helped give this city its lowest murder rate in five decades.
Meanwhile, the Fire Department is dealing with a ruling from another federal judge, Nicholas Garaufis.
The FDNY commissioner recently announced that the department will hire nearly 300 minority applicants who took entrance exams back in 1999-2002 but didn’t get jobs because they didn’t score high enough.
The commissioner had no real choice — because Judge Garaufis has repeatedly declared the department’s hiring policies racist, with little proof other than that minority candidates fared poorly on the exams.
Garaufis declared past tests invalid and blocked new tests for four years. This amounted to a job freeze that cost the city $40 million each year in added overtime, until he finally authorized a new class last year.
Here’s another way of putting it: By making himself the Fire Department’s de facto personnel officer, Garaufis forced the FDNY to hire older and objectively less qualified firefighters — with no regard for any effect it might have on morale or public safety.
Oh, yes: This comes after a year in which New York had the fewest fire-related deaths since records were first kept in 1916 — and a seven-year streak of fewer than 100 fire deaths.
The professionalism and efficacy of the NYPD and the FDNY are the envy of the world, with policies and standards that have led to New York’s becoming the safest big city in the country. They — and the city they serve — deserve better than what these two judges are dishing out.
Read more: Nick Garaufis’ latest FDNY imposition—Editorial - NYPOST.com http://www.nypost.com/p/news/opinion/editoria...
because the rights of hoodie wearing thugs trump children's safety in predominately minority neighborhoods--a neighborhood that the lib judge would never be in.
and although the Fire Dept pays the entrance exam fees for low income test takers, provides transportation and coaching and practically holds the pencil for them...they didn't dumb down the test enough.
Poor Jane will burn to death in her housing project because the hoodie wearing thugs refuse to save her ass. Lol
Karma is a bytch Jane, you never know when it's going to pay you a visit. Burn baby burn.

If Right-Wing Violence is Up 400%, Why is the FBI Targeting Environmentalists?

Between 2007 and 2011, there was a sharp increase in the number of victims of right wing violence, according to the study, to the highest levels documented so far. On a broader timeline, the increase is even more dramatic.

There was a spike in both from injuries and fatalities in 2007, and those levels have remained constant through 2012. That’s approximately 190 injuries a year, and 30 deaths, due to right-wing violence.

The victims of this violence are not surprising. Approximately 65% of the attacks were directed against ethnic and religious minorities. And 14% of violent attacks were against people because of their sexual orientation.

As the author notes, this only includes crimes that were reported and could be directly tied to right-wing politics.

It’s possible that these numbers are actually much higher.

Woodburn bank bombing trials open with father-son fingerpointing, allegations of anti-government extremism

.....it was Barack Obama's presidential win in November 2008 that finally drove the father and son to put one of their ideas into motion, Marion County Deputy District Attorney Katie Suver said Wednesday. They feared Obama's election would mean more gun restrictions, she said.

An employee at the Turnidges' biodiesel business recalled that Joshua Turnidge was "practically frantic" after the election about getting cash to reclaim his pawned guns as soon as he could, Suver said.

Then on Dec. 12, 2008, she said, the Turnidges planted a bomb outside the West Coast Bank in Woodburn. It ended up exploding inside the bank, killing two police officers, critically injuring a third and wounding a bank employee.

Zero hearings on right-wing violence

Which group has committed more acts of violent terrorism in the last 20 years, Muslim extremists or right-wing extremists?

Not only is it the right-wing extremists, it’s not even close. The Economist magazine credits right-wing groups with 145 incidents between 1990 and 2010 — versus 25 Islamic attacks.

Fortunately, the House Homeland Security Committee has held five hearings on Muslim radicalism in the last two years — as well it should. But how many hearings have focused on the violent right-wing fringe?

Our number of the day:

ZERO.

Zip.

Nada.

After a Wisconsin man gunned down six people in a Sikh temple this month.

After a Texas man crashed his plane into an Internal Revenue Service building two years ago.

After racists have formed networks in the military.

Still — nothing.

And for that, we can blame politics. Three years ago, a unit in the Department of Homeland Security warned that economic problems and a newly elected black president could turn up the volume from conservative hate groups. The right wing slammed the report — and that DHS unit was gutted.

But the warning was dead-on. These attacks have only gotten worse — and instead of looking extensively at the problem, the GOP-controlled House committee has been looking everywhere except at the groups that committed 145 terrorist acts.

Note to Congress: Forget your party affiliation. You either take the threat of domestic terrorism seriously or you don’t.

http://current.com/shows/viewpoint/blog/zero-...

articles on right wing violence permeate the net. but if you want the 'scoop' on left wing violence you have to rely on Breibart. minus the retractions of course.
