I'll bet you are like my stupid ass neighbor down the street. He has the maximum tax taken out of his check each payday so he can 'get back' 7 or 8 thousand dollars each spring. Then he complains he is broke the rest of the year. I keep telling him one year the government is not going to give it back. I also tell wouldn't it be better to get the $154 a week and have more money. But no he likes giving the government a no interest loan. Not me.

You are too ignorant to see that a subsidy is effectively the same thing as a tax break.
You seem to think that parsing everything down to nothing somehow helps your cause. It doesn't.
I don't come here to get into pissing contests, but the content from folks like you is so lame and dumb, it is required that someone set you straight.
You're another nitwit who hates Obama, and all you do is defend policies like tax breaks for oil companies, while everyone is looking to cut spending. Tax breaks and subsidies ARE spending!!
You moan how Obama spends too much, but when he suggest eliminating tax breaks for Corporations, all you do is whine.
The foreign tax credit is not a subsidy. It is a tax break that allows oil companies to deduct all foreign taxes they pay from their American Taxes.
Is that fair or proper?? If so, how??

It runs the Coast Guard that rescues those who've found themselves in dire circumstances at sea and interdict drug shipments.
You're an idiot DB.
The Coast Guard is the only federal involvement of all those you mention. The rest are state, local, or private.

Eliminating Tax Subsidies for Oil Companies

" Foreign tax credit. This credit is intended to prevent the double taxation of income that is taxed abroad but also subject to tax in the United States. Yet companies, particularly oil companies, have managed to exploit this subsidy even when they don’t pay income taxes abroad. In total, adjusting the rule would prevent companies from avoiding about $8.5 billion in taxes over a 10-year period."

Why do you defend Big Oil?? Because your mentors tell you you must??

Where can we cut spending without worrying nitwits who believe in Corporatocracy??

"Let people suffer, but protect Corporations at all costs" appears to be your motto.

Really retarded.

"Topic 856 - Foreign Tax Credit
The foreign tax credit is intended to reduce the double tax burden that would otherwise arise when foreign source income is taxed by both the United States and the foreign country from which the income is derived.
Four tests must be met for the tax to qualify for the credit:
The tax must be a legal and actual foreign tax liability
The tax must be imposed on you
You must have paid or accrued the tax, and
The tax must be an income tax (or a tax in lieu of an income tax)"

As opposed to what? Invadin' the wrong country cause Israel ask you to?

"What'd you do in the war, Grandad?"
"Well, Billy, I don't like to talk about it much cause it still causes me flashbacks an' such... but just this once. I was a mission specialist with the CIA. I wasn't in the CIA exactly, I was more of a... contractor. You see, Billy, by the 21st century america had figured out that we could start wars as a business and not just some knee-jerk response to folks who want to kill us."
"What kind of folks, Grandad?"
"Oh, very bad folks, indeed, Billy. Why they got horns on their heads and they're all the time yappin' about this and that. Anyways, we finally figured out we could just kill all those folks and get paid to do it. Your Grandma and me, bless her soul, decided there was no future in sellin' candles at a roadside stand in Connecticut so's we joined up as independent contractors."
"What kind of contractors, Grandpa?"
"Oh, the usual kind, Grandma was sort of an expert in camp following, and I was sort of an expert in aerial photography."
"Aerial photography?"
"Heheheh, yeah we lived in an apartment next to the pool at the Marriott and I'd go up on the roof and shoot YouTube videos of little girls at the pool. Anyways, the pay was good even if the grub wasn't and me and Grandma got assigned to the same detail during the war in Afghanistan."
"Afghanistan? I thought you said you fought in Iraq?"
"Well, son, they were the same thing in our eyes. We just went where they sent us and assumed the big man in the sky would sort out the goings on, on the ground. You see, son... well, it's complicated, but, basically, those damn Afghans they got nothin' whereas the Iraqis had oil back then so it was in our best interests to kind of lump 'em together."
"When you say, "our best interests," Grandpa, who do you mean?"
"Don't be a little prick, Billy, I'm tellin' the story my way."

Would law professor or senator Barack Obama have supported effectively giving a U.S. president unilateral power to kill American citizens abroad if they are suspected of being involved in terrorism?

The controversy over an Obama administration memo, first obtained by NBC News, that describes the administration’s legal justification for killing even U.S. citizens, gets at a core question of the president’s anti-terrorism policies: would Democrats, even Obama himself, have been comfortable with George W. Bush taking similar approaches?(Many, even at times Obama, were not, although the specific issue of U.S. citizens is new.) Would they support a president Jindal or Rubio or Jeb Bush if he asserted such executive authority?

“Even if the Obama administration is convinced of its own fundamental trustworthiness, the power this white paper sets out will be available to every future president—and every “informed high-level official”(!)—in every future conflict,” wrote Jameel Jaffer, deputy director of the American Civil Liberties Union, on the organization’s website after the disclosure of the memo.

At the core, the administration’s use of drone strikes to kill suspected al-Qa’ida operatives, both U.S. citizens and non-citizens, hands the president and his team almost total power in determining if a person is connected to terrorism and therefore if the U.S. should use military force to kill them. There is almost no opportunity for any kind of review by the judiciary or Congress.

Obama’s approach isn’t much different from George W. Bush’s, but Democrats spent years casting Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney as holding an overly-expansive view of executive power.

AND FOR THE EDUCATED 3/5 democrat WHO REFUSE TO TAKE THE MORAL STAND shame on you you are racist with your refusal to speak truth to power

It's been debated for months and months, but on Wednesday the United States Postal Service finally will announce it's not going to deliver first-class mail on Saturdays anymore.
The postal service's announcement, planned for about 10 a.m. EST, is expected to say that packages, mail-order medicine, and express mail will continue to be delivered on Saturday, but not letters, bills, cards, and catalogs. Post offices which are now open on Saturdays will continue to be open on Saturdays.

WTHeck?
If they don't have a layoff as a result, there will be no real savings.

The Postal Service needs to be free to charge rates as necessary, terminate unprofitable services as necessary, and to deal with their employees the same as any other business.

If that fails, nobody needs them anyway.

If there was ever any doubt the Anti-American Democrats were politicizing the wars and making it harder for us to be safe consider this...

The left displayed outrage and indignation about water boarding and GITMO detainees not having trials quick enough. Remember the idiots tried to have trials in New York and that backfired on Obama an Holder big time. CLOSE GITMO YET?

Now we find out Obama is taking it upon himself to EXECUTE Americans abroad with his drone strikes to the point where even the far left ACLU and even "some" Democrats in Congress have spoken out. Hell, Obama has gone way beyond waterboarding and trials, he goes right to the exeution stage with no Habeas Corpus.

The Ministry of Propoganda (MSNBC, NY Times, CNN, CBS News) is eerily silent.

Now libtards, which one of you morons want to blame Bush for Obama executing Americans?
